My ONLY problem with the Sportage is that KIA didn't offer 'adaptive cruise control' ...in any trim! It's not an option at all. I was disappointed & surprised. Although I generally prefer a car to an SUV, I may have bought a Sportage instead of my Optima if that option had been available! The Sportage is one of the best looking SUVs on the road, IMHO.
