I don't think the problem was Slavery in Islam, I think it more had to do with the person's understanding of slavery, and believing that was what Islam accepted. There's also the fact that Muslims in West Africa have slaves, and those slaves are not (captives of war), they are literally slaves. Lessons like this are important so that we can distinguish between what Muslims do, and what Islam actually teaches. May Allah forgive and guide us@@sareedoahmed1751
Brother Muhammad Ali is 100% right. People leave Islam only for the following reasons: 1. Emotions (and desires)and/or 2. Lack of knowledge May Allah keep us on the right path 🤲🏽
And subtle arrogance to not accept the proofs & then bring new questions without accepting previous ones to keep going in a cycle without establishing any base. In this case I appreciate atheists from non-muslim countries as they genuinely lack proper knowledge & seek for the truth. Meanwhile majority of atheists from muslim countries have all the resources but disbelief due to their desires.

I think he's the kind of "ex muslim" who wasn't really a practicing muslim that much. Just did what he was told, follow his brothers/sisters/parents ... Looks like he never really learnt about what Islam taught. He almost says toward the end that he was expecting the religion to be all butterflies.
He is Moroccan, unless he was from a Jewish background then there’s a very high chance he was Muslim. Morocco doesn’t have a significant Christian population and seems unlikely to be raised by fully atheist parents in Morocco from that generation He was probably a Muslim from a non practicing Muslim family. Unfortunately, I didn’t know how to make wudhu or pray salah correctly for a long time due to lack of knowledge
I think the main issue that faces us as Muslims regarding slavery is the fact of history. Islam and the prophet's teachings are clear, but our ancestors seemingly ignored them in favor of greed and assimilating with the already existing slavery system. None can deny the Arab slave trade and the horrendous treatment of African slaves, so much so that the Zanj rebellion in the 9th century single-handedly shattered the slave system in the Abbasid calihpate. And yet, slavery still persisted, with the purchase of young slave boys to form the caste of slave soldiers that fought our wars. From the Tulunids to the Mamluks, most of those were slaves purchased at a young age by Muslims to train them into warriors. While one could argue that they were treated very well and rose very high indeed, the fact remains that they did not have a choice in the matter nor were they enemies of Islam. Mulk al-Yamin has been abused a lot by Muslims. Let's not forget that until the 1960s, slavery was still allowed in Saudi Arabia and to this day, chattel slavery could still be found in Mauritania. Now, what is the purpose of all of this? That we as Muslims must not forget the dark sides of our ancestors, what people who claimed to enslave others using our faith did. It's easy to simply disregard those who engaged in slavery as hypocrites (munafiqon) but to outsiders who are learning about Islam, that's not how it would seem. Especially when it has become the norm to believe that there is no black and white, only varying shades of grey. Finally, I ask all of my fellow Muslims not to lose sight of the teachings of the Prophet and not allow short-term benefits of life to get in the way of an eternity in paradise. Pray for the people of Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and all those who are being oppressed.
That is why we always say the issue is Muslims and Islam is perfect. The Abbasids committed a tribal cleansing of Banu ummaya for greed of power and they convinced the people that it was because they were related to Al Abbas RAA, the prophets uncle. Once they were in power they tried to eradicate anyone from the line of Ali RAA. That is one example but yes the issue is people following their greed.

2:00 repetition and muscle memory you'll never forget. But there's wisdom behind why hands are washed first. Hands are filled with nerves, water cooling the nerves immediately reduces stress and sets you in a calm state. Your hands senses the temperature signals your body is safe to continue - it can also tolerate temperatures better than your mouth, if water was boiling your mouth would have easily burned. Your hands are also the only tools you have to transport water to wash everything else - if your hands are dirty, everything else is. God knows his creation much better than we know ourselves. To not embody his wisdom is a mistake, to openly acknowledge ignorance to it as an ex Muslim is a tragedy.
SubhanAllah look at the facts: NOT one single “Ex-Muslim” has ever truly LEFT Islam based on a single valid reason. It is always either they were NEVER MUSLIM to begin with OR they were completely ignorant/clueless and didn’t study or do basic research! We don’t deny there are weak Muslims or non practicing or black sheep BUT they don’t leave the religion or be so quick to bad mouth it….. shows you how powerful it is and validity to its truth!
The Prophet pbuh said “Allah says: "There are three whom I will oppose on the Day of Judgment: a man who makes a covenant in My name but proves treacherous; a man who sells a free person and consumes the price; and a man who employs a worker and takes full work from him but does not pay him his wages." (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)
So when all of the 10M slaves were freed with no money, no food, homeless, this guy said “at least they are free.” 🤯 I had hope that he would be sincere/rational. No such luck
Islam teaches strict monotheism, instills the best way of life for an individual, offers the best reorganization of society and state, and provides answers to existential questions. Religion that calls you to submit to The Almighty, commands you to live a clean life, and tells you to enjoin good and eradicate evil - such religion cannot be false. This is why Islam is the truth. Islam is the only faith that can give you peace of mind, body and soul. Islam is intellectually satisfying, spiritually fulfilling and practically applicable.
@@devilsplaintiff I'm so sorry but do you not understand the basic meaning of monotheism? WALLAHI monotheism is the easiest concept ever to grasp and some people still don't get it. We worship and depend on one entity and one entity alone and failure to do so explicitly takes you out of the fold of Islam. Our religion does not revolve around a human being and Christianity literally worships a human being so the point of "unlike other religions" is completely false. I sincerely hope you are joking or trolling as I fear for your intellect if not 😂
@@devilsplaintiff This is the principle of monotheistic religion. One god, several messengers/prophets. as for Judaism. Moise and God. as for islam.Mohamed and God. so yes, a human to spread the word and a god to maintain everything. Christianity is not part of monotheism since they themselves claim that their god is made of 3 distinct people. The father cannot be the son and vice versa. The holy spirit cannot be the father and vice versa etc... so clearly 3 different people/entities.
@@axelmartinez3540 even if you consider self understandings of religions, jesus is god for christians and prophet is not god for muslims. so your life revolves around god + prophet whereas other religions don't share their love and attention with prophets to turn them into partners beside god.
I have a friend who accepted Islam few days ago. Please make Dua for him. He is so interested in learning Quran and praying. May Allah make it easy for him and for us as well, amiyn
Tell him that Islam is the absolute truth through Qur'an preservation and show muslim lantern videos . Tell him to go step by step ,don't do all at once. Teach him the entire seerah if prophet Muhammad sallallahu alahi wasallam.
For people interested in reading about Islam, it is recommended to read: - The Holy Quran, and good and reliable books that explain and interpret it because when the Qur’an is translated, it becomes an interpretation ( tafseer , explanation) of Qur’an. Therefore, it's important to read reliable scientific tafseer (interpretation) books for a good understanding. such as "AL-TAFSIR AL-MUYASAR" (( A concise interpretation of the Qur'an is presented in simple language and summarizes the meanings of the Qur'anic words and their implications according to the principles of exegesis in Arabic. This aids the reader in understanding the verses in their correct meaning and serves as a basis for the King Fahd Complex's translations of the meanings of the Qur'an into the languages of the Islamic peoples. The book, published by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, was authored with the collaboration of a select group of scholars of exegesis. )) , and "Tafseer e Saadi" (( It is an exegesis that explains the Quran, authored by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Nasir al-Sa'di. It is characterized by its simple and clear style, making it easy to understand for readers of various levels. The interpretation focuses on explaining the fundamental meanings of the verses without complexity, while paying attention to Islamic creed and its principles. It is considered one of the essential books in Quranic interpretation and is widely used for understanding and teaching Quranic texts in a direct and accessible manner. )), both of which have been translated into English and can be downloaded to the phone, for example, from the archive site or other. Then it is recommended to type in Google the Durar Al-Sunniyah website and read from it, and if the reader has a question, he can type his question in Google in a sentence and then type the Islam Question and Answer website, for example, he writes in Google: - Existence of God: Any Evidence? Islam Question and Answer website. - Evidence for the truth of the Prophethood of Muhammad? Islam Question & Answer. - What Is the Evidence that Islam Is True? Islam Question & Answer. - Is the Qur’an really the word of God? What is the evidence? Islam Question & Answer. - What Are the Merits of Islam? Islam Question and Answer. - Islam and Muslims. Islam Question and Answer website. - The Tolerance of Islam. Islam Question and Answer website. - Degrees and Levels of Paradise and Hell. Islam Question and Answer website. - Some knowledge is an individual obligation and some is a communal obligation; is seeking knowledge obligatory for one who is capable of attaining it? Islam Question and Answer website. - The Best Means to Increase Your Faith. Islam Question and Answer. - I want to strengthen my faith. Islam Question and Answer. - This site can also be used to search for the meanings of verses that the reader may not understand. | "When visiting the site on Google, you can click the 'Show on Islam and Q&A website' button at the bottom of the page to display the source of the answer at the bottom of the page." |. These are Arabic answers translated into English, and there are many more even in small matters and details in Islam and rulings. The important thing is to read from a reliable and trustworthy source in order to learn about Islam for those who want it in a correct way and understand it well with a clear explanation and get used to the style of speech and method of explanation and guidance of those who really know Islam. And avoid many books, people and websites that have little knowledge of Islam or spread mistakes unintentionally or deliberately.
He was born muslim probaby praid with his parents when he was still a child but left the prayer and lost interest so forgot it with time Its sad but a reality for some who are not well informed
Muhammad what he’s saying is true as it happened to me 25 yrs ago… I reverted to Islam in 1996 in the days before TH-cam and all this dawah you see because I went out with a Arab girl who’s family was Muslim and I was a religious Christian and she’s the one who introduced Islam to me who I had never known about before. Then she gave me a Quran to read and I went to Islamic bookstore and bought many books and found video of Ahmed Deedat etc Now I became Muslim after 6 months and married her which was my mistake because she wasn’t religious but rebellious etc We had children and then we divorced after a few yrs… Now I’m a revert and I practised and followed the sunnah and prayed fard and all sunnah prayers etc and when I divorced and my life turned upside down and she was and her family were cultural and totally un knowledgeable in Islam and with the pressure of them and my family and I had no money after losing everything and being crushed by all sides I was forced to go back home and I slowly forgot Islam… and I can tell you that for a certainty I forgot everything I had learnt in those years even how to do wudu… I left for 14 yrs and then had an awakening after 14 yrs out of the blue and alhumdulilah for the last 10 yrs I’ve been once again practising Islam as per the Sunnah with all my prayers and been twice to Umrah with the masjid I attend etc. I’m explaining all this to make you understand that you cannot judge a person who says they practised once and forgot because what he is saying is absolutely true… whether it’s shaytaan or Allah swt when you distance yourself from Islam long enough you will totally forget everything what you had learned. You may not understand how but he is correct.
I agree with you, I felt he forgot for real and with the pressure of online sometimes you forget your name. I suffer from anxiety and under pressure I really mess the most basic things up even saying my name correctly 🤣
These people never practice in the first place when they become desperate due to personal circumstances Debt, Visa issues or criminal record, think tanks approach them and they promise them help but they must speak ill about islam, I've seen this happen in person, may Allah protect us
Why is it hard to accept there are some real ex Muslims who simply stopped believing? Majority probably were not practicing, but I’ve seen practicing Muslims who had lost their imaan. Not everything has to be a conspiracy
@letmetalk Exactly. We never say never because hidaya is from Allah, however practicing does not *automatically* make one knowledgeable. I believe the more 3ilm a Muslim has, the more he/she can deal with the doubts.
@@squidguard1Because it is simply not possible, unless the person lost their mind. Islam is the true religion, and a practicing (AND knowledgeable) Muslim would believe it. No sane person would willingly stop believing in something they know to be true.
We live in a strange world… knowledge is so easily accessible yet people are so ignorant. If people like muslim lantern dont answer these questions … its shocking how many people fall to these lies and ignorance
what a beautiful religion we have.. I'm so touched.. this "issue" of captives of war is another way you know for certain that Islam is truth.. islam wont wage war for no reason and when a war happened and people became captives of war they live with Muslims and through the years they get introduced to the religion and ask for being free.. this concept is new, nothing like any nation did in the past and is the most perfect way to gain back those who fought Muslims back to the religion.. cuz if they captived in war and then set free they might still live in society and hate Muslims till a day come that they do harm to Muslims without fully knowing the religion.. if all humans gathered together and decided to have rules for captives of war they would never get close to mulk al yamin.. i don't know how a person would still not be convinced after watching this video on this issue that Islam is the truth.. well done my brother, I've bookmarked this to give anyone whomever whenever said they have issue with islams' slavery
i think this happened.. captives of war convinced that Islam is truth when they saw how Muslims treat their captives "slaves".. there was a man who was a captive and saw how they deal with him and then his tribe set him free then he returned to Muslims as a free man to become a Muslim.. i think he was son in law of Prophet(SAW).. or became son in law?
also.. i believe UN tried to set rules around this and I'm 110% sure they are way way too far from rules of our religion(not just they didn't match but cant get close)
@BeNGALi4LFE A bit, and don't call people this🙃 That is a lesson for us to be careful when choosing how to deal with someone. most "ex muslims" who come are ignorant, dishonest, very inconsistent, Ali choses to not waste time on them. this man wasn't like them, may Allah swt forgive us and give us open hearts🤲 may Allah swt guide this brother and bring him again because he is so close🤏
Their argument is so weak that they forgot that one of the first ones of reverting to Islam was a liberated slave called Bilal wich he did the first call to player , they are so despertate 😂
I have learned so many things from you about Islam. Thank you very much brother. May Allah Almighty protect you from evil eyes and increase you in your knowledge and faith. Islam has maintained such a brilliant balance. An absolute truth!
I recommend people like this guy watching Haitham Talaat (هيثم طلعت) , he already debunked all atheists/ex-muslims claims in his books and TH-cam videos
May Allah guide him. Too much confusion is done by the western propaganda to discredit Islam, people who have no strong Islam bases and are glorifying the west easily affected by it.

People leave Islam only for the following reasons:
1. Emotions (and desires)and/or
2. Lack of knowledge
May Allah keep us on the right path 🤲🏽
I left Islam and became atheist. I'm from Pakistan
Also due to other Muslims
It's a two way thing
And subtle arrogance to not accept the proofs & then bring new questions without accepting previous ones to keep going in a cycle without establishing any base.
In this case I appreciate atheists from non-muslim countries as they genuinely lack proper knowledge & seek for the truth. Meanwhile majority of atheists from muslim countries have all the resources but disbelief due to their desires.
And economy reason.
A day full 5 prayers will never forget wuduu in the next 60 years

Not knowing the bases of islam and claiming ex muslim is insane
I am not surprised.
There are Muslims who did not do the salah.
@ but how you claim you are ex Muslim and knowing the wudu
Fake ex muslims are everywhere..this man is one of them
I think he's the kind of "ex muslim" who wasn't really a practicing muslim that much. Just did what he was told, follow his brothers/sisters/parents ... Looks like he never really learnt about what Islam taught. He almost says toward the end that he was expecting the religion to be all butterflies.
Same like my brother which he never studied Islam 😂 . Nor read .
He is Moroccan, unless he was from a Jewish background then there’s a very high chance he was Muslim. Morocco doesn’t have a significant Christian population and seems unlikely to be raised by fully atheist parents in Morocco from that generation
He was probably a Muslim from a non practicing Muslim family.
I wish your comment had 100 likes by now brother. The issue is definitely history.

Did you read that in a book about prayer?
Then why wash hand twice, why not straight wash elbow to finger first then wash the mouth and so on?
Isn’t washing the hands optional?
bro you really overcomplicated it and overthink it. washing the hands first cuz that's what's going to wash the rest. pretty simple.
Washing hands first is sunnah. The exmuslim was right about starting with the mouth as its a pillar of wudu
True,
true knowledge leads the way, false knowledge will lead astray
The Prophet pbuh said “Allah says: "There are three whom I will oppose on the Day of Judgment: a man who makes a covenant in My name but proves treacherous; a man who sells a free person and consumes the price; and a man who employs a worker and takes full work from him but does not pay him his wages." Islam teaches strict monotheism, instills the best way of life for an individual, offers the best reorganization of society and state, and provides answers to existential questions.
Religion that calls you to submit to The Almighty, commands you to live a clean life, and tells you to enjoin good and eradicate evil - such religion cannot be false. This is why Islam is the truth.
Islam is the only faith that can give you peace of mind, body and soul. Islam is intellectually satisfying, spiritually fulfilling and practically applicable.
strict monotheism where your life revolves around a human + a god unlike in other religions?
@@devilsplaintiff I'm so sorry but do you not understand the basic meaning of monotheism? WALLAHI monotheism is the easiest concept ever to grasp and some people still don't get it. We worship and depend on one entity and one entity alone and failure to do so explicitly takes you out of the fold of Islam. Our religion does not revolve around a human being and Christianity literally worships a human being so the point of "unlike other religions" is completely false. I sincerely hope you are joking or trolling as I fear for your intellect if not 😂
@@devilsplaintiff
This is the principle of monotheistic religion.
Maybe hes like some Muslims their own is just to believe un Allah and nothing more
@@axelmartinez3540 even if you consider self understandings of religions, jesus is god for christians and prophet is not god for muslims. so your life revolves around god + prophet whereas other religions don't share their love and attention with prophets to turn them into partners beside god.
For people interested in reading about Islam, it is recommended to read:
- The Holy Quran, and good and reliable books that explain and interpret it because when the Qur’an is translated, it becomes an interpretation ( tafseer , explanation) of Qur’an.
The book, published by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, was authored with the collaboration of a select group of scholars of exegesis. )) ,
and "Tafseer e Saadi" (( It is an exegesis that explains the Quran, authored by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Nasir al-Sa'di. It is characterized by its simple and clear style, making it easy to understand for readers of various levels. The interpretation focuses on explaining the fundamental meanings of the verses without complexity, while paying attention to Islamic creed and its principles. It is considered one of the essential books in Quranic interpretation and is widely used for understanding and teaching Quranic texts in a direct and accessible manner. )),
both of which have been translated into English and can be downloaded to the phone, for example, from the archive site or other.
Then it is recommended to type in Google the Durar Al-Sunniyah website and read from it, and if the reader has a question, he can type his question in Google in a sentence and then type the Islam Question and Answer website, for example, he writes in Google:
- Existence of God: Any Evidence? Islam Question and Answer website.
- Evidence for the truth of the Prophethood of Muhammad? Islam Question & Answer.
- What Is the Evidence that Islam Is True? Islam Question & Answer.
- Is the Qur’an really the word of God? What is the evidence? Islam Question & Answer.

- Degrees and Levels of Paradise and Hell. Islam Question and Answer website.

Lol 😂 an ex Muslim that doesn’t know how to make wudu . That was it for me a practice that’s repeated 5x daily it’s impossible to forget .
he simply just not doing the pray regularly then
He was born muslim probaby praid with his parents when he was still a child but left the prayer and lost interest so forgot it with time
Its sad but a reality for some who are not well informed
Muhammad what he’s saying is true as it happened to me 25 yrs ago… I reverted to Islam in 1996 in the days before TH-cam and all this dawah you see because I went out with a Arab girl who’s family was Muslim and I was a religious Christian and she’s the one who introduced Islam to me who I had never known about before. Then she gave me a Quran to read and I went to Islamic bookstore and bought many books and found video of Ahmed Deedat etc
Now I became Muslim after 6 months and married her which was my mistake because she wasn’t religious but rebellious etc
We had children and then we divorced after a few yrs…
Now I’m a revert and I practised and followed the sunnah and prayed fard and all sunnah prayers etc and when I divorced and my life turned upside down and she was and her family were cultural and totally un knowledgeable in Islam and with the pressure of them and my family and I had no money after losing everything and being crushed by all sides I was forced to go back home and I slowly forgot Islam… and I can tell you that for a certainty I forgot everything I had learnt in those years even how to do wudu… I left for 14 yrs and then had an awakening after 14 yrs out of the blue and alhumdulilah for the last 10 yrs I’ve been once again practising Islam as per the Sunnah with all my prayers and been twice to Umrah with the masjid I attend etc.
@@squidguard1 Agreed. But it also proves that their Islamic knowledge is not strong.

Exactly. We never say never because hidaya is from Allah, however practicing does not *automatically* make one knowledgeable.

what a beautiful religion we have..
