I agree with her when she says believe in what helps you. I was raised in a old tradition family and married to my Christian husband. My son was always sick since he was 2 yrs old. Twice a mo, 3 days straight. It was really frustrating and I have asked my mom for help, but she doesn’t want to step on my husband and his families toes and help my son with the shaman ways. Finally when my son turned 5 yrs old, my husband finally decided that maybe the old ways can help our son. I asked my mom for help one more time and told her my husband was ok with us going to the old ways. My mom did her thing and changed my son’s name. Since then he have not been sick how he was. I’d say that’s also a blessing in another spiritual way. He’s now 8 yrs old.
