      Yeah man that’s why I started making videos.
      I watch a ton of reviews before I buy something and often times I am never satisfied with what I find. Plus I like trying out gear lol.
      I just try to show people what I would want to see if I was getting ready to buy something with my hard earned cash.
      Also, thanks for leaving a comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the video man! It’s a pretty spacious tent and pretty lightweight for its size.
      Btw that’s awesome you’re going to Colorado. I Still haven’t been there but I have heard from buddies that it’s the Mecca for Mule deer and Elk. Good luck! I hope you bring home some meat and good memories!
      Are you going over the counter or with a draw tag?

      Yeah they are a great company and make great products! Like most outdoor equipment they are spendy but they do honor their warranty and I have used it a couple times with no issues. Customer service is another big deal to me and they get 5 stars for customer service!

    Is the KUIU Mountain Star better utilising a sleeve system. Nah I think it has more to do with making the production cheaper than strengthening, dropping the weight is just an excuse. Longevity of the tent via these sleeves is going to be greatly reduced. I know I had a few sleeve system tents. Gonna get the Kuiu Storm Star before they start cost cutting!

    • @ignitedbynature
      @ignitedbynature  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I’m not a huge fan of sleeve tents myself. I got a deal on it when I bought it.
      I’ve heard good things about that tent as well. Let me know what you think about it! When you get it.

    I have this tent here in the uk it's a great tent except for the zip storm flaps on the vestibules when pitched in any wind over 15mph they vibrate like crazy making a really loud noise.

    • @ignitedbynature
      @ignitedbynature  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dang thats crazy! I didn’t experience that and we had a couple of days with 20 mph plus winds on the top of the mountain.
      Did you tighten down the vestibule with the guy line tensioners?

    • @craig3401
      @craig3401 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ignitedbynature I did it was all tight as a drum I've ended up having to sew extra velcro to try and stop it

    • @ignitedbynature
      @ignitedbynature  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@craig3401 Dang I’m not having that issue…Is this the gen1 version or gen2? Next time I’m out I’ll have to see if I have that issue. I also am a deep sleeper though so maybe I just couldn’t hear it. The extra Velcro is a pretty smart fix though!

    • @craig3401
      @craig3401 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ignitedbynature it's the gen 2 with the pole sleeves I also have the storm star and I've not had any issues with that it's an amazing tent.the problem I was having was the gap between the velcro seemed to long and when pitched perfect with the wind hitting the end it would go over the 2 vestibules and the storm flap were vibrating the extra velcro reduced the gap and cut the noise down a lot.it might be as the material is very light it might just need stiffening or extra velcro it's more of an annoyance rather than a defect the rest of the tent is great the space is great the weight and the all in 1 pitching also great

      @@craig3401 Dang I’ll have to watch for that. But yeah like I said I was out in 20+ mph wins at 7000 ft and didn’t experience that. I think I am just a heavy sleeper haha. Yeah I was looking at the storm as well that looked like a better version of the Mountain star.
