    Your teaching vids are so much more entertaining and engaging than many college professors I teach with who can't learn remote teaching 😂💪 Kudos for using your gift. 😉

    In Indian music we use long notes. Please anybody clarify how to input them and edit.

    thanks for this useful video !! but i did not understand what does quantization mean ?

    • @aysymphony
      @aysymphony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! For a full explanation of quantization, check out our video about Editing and Quantizing a Melody: th-cam.com/video/X6HZlV4aHOI/w-d-xo.html
      If you click that link, it will take you right to the part where we explain quantization! Quantizing basically aligns your recorded material to Bandlab's rhythmic grid. By default, the grid divides each measure into four beats, and divides each beat into four subdivisions (known as "sixteenth-notes"). This all sounds very confusing, but it makes sense when you see it, so make sure to click the link above!

    I can’t find any vids on youtube on how to change the sound of your instruments making them high pitch etc

    • @aysymphony
      @aysymphony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! If I'm understanding your question correctly, you want to change the pitch of the notes that your instrument is playing. In order to do that, you can directly edit the MIDI (Digital Instrument) notes that you've recorded. For visuals, check out our video on Editing and Quantizing a Melody, starting at 35 seconds: th-cam.com/video/X6HZlV4aHOI/w-d-xo.html
      Essentially, once you've opened up the MIDI Editor, you can click on your recorded notes and drag them up to a higher pitch! If you want the same exact note to sound higher, then just pay attention to the letters on the left hand side of the MIDI Editor. If the note is a "C," click and drag it up to the next slot that says C. It's technically the same note, but sounds higher. You can click and drag one note at a time, or click, drag, and highlight all your notes and move them up simultaneously.
      If you don't want to change the notes, but want to change the tone and sound of the instrument, then your best bet is to use EQ (equalization). You can find EQ in your instrument's "FX" (effects) section. With EQ, you can change the volume of different frequencies within the instrument! It's pretty mind-blowing, but you can get the full depth explanation from our video on using EQ and Compression: th-cam.com/video/sl-LsCzOMW4/w-d-xo.html
      I hope one of those two options is what you are looking for!
