Even if she didn’t help the duck it would have flipped itself over using its wings or waited for the water to get higher so it started floating

We have a Muscovy duck that has balance issues. I think it was either because she hatched later or too early. She was hatched in an incubator and had pipped, but after 24 hours I helped her out because she was still alive, but stuck. I've read that ducklings that stay too long in the shell can have issues. I started feeding her comfrey leaves, which is rich in minerals and she is much improved but will still stumble and roll onto her back. We named her Turtle.
you should check out the channel A chick called Albert, the guy once fixed a duckling that had balance issues after hatching, with a sock around its body (no joke).

@@Lufia4 it's possible but I think it's more like with most birds if they're on their backs and their wings aren't out already, a lot of them seem to freeze up, possibly because they're afraid to damage their wings...
