A beautiful piece of "iridescence," named in honour of Iris, messenger of the gods in Greek myth. This music certainly grows on you......................Check out the giant piece of steel upstage right [left from audience's point of view] -- Jordan Pal's "steelsheen" (steel instrument, like a thundersheet, but producing more sounds by being played with a cello bow). We used a version of it in "Time's Fancy: The War of King Henry V and Joan of Arc," which just wrapped at the Winnipeg Fringe. There's more about the steel instrument at www.cbc.ca/radio/q/wednesday-may-10-2017-father-john-misty-len-collin-and-more-1.4104250/the-toronto-symphony-orchestra-is-using-a-giant-steel-sheet-to-create-new-music-1.4104290.
