    What a stunning walk. Definitely a bit sketchy along that cliff top. What an amazing spot, peregrines are so beautiful. You are so lucky with your wildlife spots.

    Great video as always just done the coastal path in 4 days far to much road walking and the part from ventnor to shanklin was a bit sketchy the path just disappeared and i ended up like the pied piper leading a troop of ill prepared walkers cracking shot of the falcons keep up the good work we do appreciate it 👍

    4:09 If I'm not mistaken, this is at 50.6188557,-1.372253 - west of Sandy Lanes Holiday Lodges, near Atherfield Bay.
    It's the old sewage works carousel which served the western side of the previous Holiday Centre.

      @@WilderhopeAdventures That did occur to me! Don't worry, I expect most of the coliforms, streptococci, clostridia, lactobacilli, micrococci, Proteus and Pseudomonas have moved on by now...

      Yes, it was a sewage works and Atherfield Bay with the collapsed steps is our beach. I live in a cottage a field back from the road. Stunning when it's sunny! The waves were breaking on Atherfield Ledge, the site of several old shipwrecks.

    How do you usually plan your trails if you don't mind me asking? Like do you circle back to your camp sorta thing? Like going from A to B if your camp is back at A, I'd be interested to know so I can figure it out for myself too. Thanks, and great vid as always :)

      It depends on the trail. When I'm backpacking it is camping. With this one my mom lives on the island so I would drive to my start point and when I was done she would come pick me up and drop me back to my car. When I did the North Downs Way I would park near the train station, hike and then get the train back to my car.

    I did this in the summer a few years ago in much nicer conditions although it was much quieter in terms of people for you so there is an upside to doing it in early spring

    8:29 I would guess that the holes are the remains of rabbit burrows in parts of the cliff which have fallen into the sea.
    I guess rabbits live here because there is grass which is largely undisturbed by humans, and falcons hang around because there are rabbits.

    • @WilderhopeAdventures
      @WilderhopeAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would make sense since there are a lot of rabbit burrows along the edges
