Dave could just have been a one episode throw away, but the directors saw the chemistry he and Ray had. I love how they became mates, and how with Gazza they are the triple threat.
@@Amero2323agree was a fantastic take. The only other person I saw play a role in similar fashion was Daniel Day Lewis in Christy Brown, although he had CP.
You know you can fix that. Start using it wherever you are. Good, concise, descriptive words have a habit of catching on, and root is one of the best...
The first question. People watch this show like it's some kind of acting. It's not. These are just Australian men being Australian men. They just filmed it.
I ve known these types of guys in my life and they are so well depicted... hard men, lived rough lives and love to philosophise over stuff like aliens, conspiracy theories etc haha they mainly do it to escape/distract from their hard lives, but it's endearing to some extent.
He’s talking about the vivacious Femi Taylor as Oola in Return of the Jedi! She was in the OG Australian Cats production too! 10/10 would smash without hesitation in the makeup!
Great show, well written, terrific actors. Mr Inbetween is proof that you don't need to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to create excellent entertainment.
Scott mentioned there were a few adlibs, like Matt’s adlib to extend the scene about the little Quentin, but in an interview I saw Brooke said that the script was so exact that even “ums” were written into it.
i love how they talk about a random topic that sometimes it became a debate. like ray and gaz talking about who's the best bond, best batman, and gaz's superman joke. overseas viewer here, so i don't know. maybe it's an aussie thing. no hate, i love the show. and i wish many people would watch this show.
Hey mate, this is exactly what Aussie life is like minus the hits and most of the fights. The dialogue is spot on and the day to day life is a slice of Australian life.
@@tomgardner2253 You're talking about all his films after Kill Bill and I'd agree, but Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs in particular had a down to earth realism about their characters and dialogue that this show is very similar to. I don't know much about Ryan Scott, but I'd be willing to bet that at the very least Pulp Fiction was an influence on his writing style.
Not to be that nerd, but... I love how Ray is enthusiastic about infinite life in the trillions of planets in the universe, it says something about his grey soul. Whereas Dave is more philosophically inclined to 'root' an alien just to say he has.
Didnt like dave when the character was introduced..watching their relationship develop , completely changed my opinion of him and has end was probably the most memorable part of the show for me 😢
I love how ultimately this went from the profund "are we alone in the universe" conversation to "would you root an alien"?
the duality of man
I don't answer questions
I thought we have🤙 😂
It’s a guy thing!
Only a female one, I'm not bent 😂
I love the relationship between these two and how it developed over 3 seasons. This episode was a kick in the gut.
Yeah they were very alike. Ray more a lone wolf that kept a tighter circle though.
It was never personal, Ray knew it was just business and when Ray could've killed him and didn't, he became an ally Sad what happened to him tho 😢
I'm done mate just gimme the fuckin gun.
@@jaimeherber8353doesn’t ray end up killing him
@@qwertyki9367 No he dies in the the shootout later in the episode.
Gonna miss these types of scenes, no other show like it
Well, The Sopranos, he based it very closely on the Sopranos he said.
The Big Lez Show has similar kind of dialogue. Very natural aussie conversation.
Dave ( Matt Nable) brought so much to this show.
and Nicholas Cassim should have got an award for his role of Bruce.
Matt has an iconic voice, love when something big is going down at fox and he is narrating.
I didn't know Cassim was a healthy guy until I saw him interviewed, after I'd finished the show. He's a great actor.

Yeah I loved Dave. Was happy when he came back.
I lived in Australia in 2010 and havent heard "Good Rig" or "Root" since - brilliant
You know you can fix that. Start using it wherever you are. Good, concise, descriptive words have a habit of catching on, and root is one of the best...
glad you enjoyed us :):):)
Right before one of the most intense scenes in the show. God I’m gonna miss this show. Fell in love with Scott Ryan
The first question. People watch this show like it's some kind of acting. It's not. These are just Australian men being Australian men. They just filmed it.
Well some of it haha, obviously the parts about crime and underworld is acting.
which alot of movies are missing... REAL conversations..
Spot on 😂
@@SilentHotdog28 oooooh I wouldn’t be so sure, mate.
It was a hidden camera show till the last episode hahahaha all honesty I've had the same convo with my mates
Genius Dialogue.
Ryan Scott needs to give us more of his work!
He will, when he's good and ready.
Scott's working on a new project right now, but he says he doesnt really have a plan for more MIB really
Reasonable conversation.
The dialogue and delivery of this scene is text book and should be show to all future actors and script writers
Yet another outstanding moment from this show.
Gonna miss this show
You can tell Raymond is trying not to laugh 😂. How many takes to get it right lol...😂😂😂 Great show...

i love the little convos in this show
Fark ,, I relate to that bloke way too much !
I love the love between these Two!!❤️

Can't believe they let this end
The ending tho is dope AF 🔥💯👍
Got the good rig.... horns....lol.
Such a great series. I need more like it.
Dave was such a great character
every characters on this show is a 10/10 would recommend
Wouldn’t surprise me if half the show was ad libbed, genius writing 👍
Scott mentioned there were a few adlibs, like Matt’s adlib to extend the scene about the little Quentin, but in an interview I saw Brooke said that the script was so exact that even “ums” were written into it.
oh look the conversation I've had with my friends in the car

Hey mate, this is exactly what Aussie life is like minus the hits and most of the fights. The dialogue is spot on and the day to day life is a slice of Australian life.
I think I rooted an alien, in the name of intergalactic peace of course.
Tarantino level dialogue
Not really, the way people talk in Tarantino films is ridiculius. The characters talk like normal people in Mr Inbetween

You mean gay and stupid? Nah
This is the most accurate Australian convo ever 😂 does need a script just blokes having a bloke chat
mad how dave went from a villain to a mate
RIP Dave
The dialogue of this reminds me of Clerks.
Women always wonder what discussions men have when they aren't around?
Not to be that nerd, but... I love how Ray is enthusiastic about infinite life in the trillions of planets in the universe, it says something about his grey soul. Whereas Dave is more philosophically inclined to 'root' an alien just to say he has.
R.I.P dave 😢😢😢
For a killer I just realized how much of a prude Ray is 😂 maybe he’s just past a certain age where it doesn’t bother him anymore
Me and some buddies have had this exact conversation. I'm sure most groups have.
1:32 lol
I'd root an alien et or not. I'd be quagmire in space
Haha, if the alien is hot, I'd probably do it, why not?
This funny amazing scene leads to a amazing sequence of scenes of Ray going John Wick.
Dave was a blokey bloke
Hahaha this is so Aussie for Ya made me laugh so hard 😂😂
“If she look like ET” 😂
Ray is the coolest character on TH-cam.
I could watch a entire show. Just about Dave.
I would.
Ray is the realest. Aliens have been here since before dinosaurs most likely. We just live in our own little bubble, thinking we are special
"Most likely" 😂
We will just wait until you realize how vast space is, and how long time it takes to travel those distances.
What's funny is this kind of conversation goes on between the film crew members everyday....
Of course there’s life in the universe but we are not in contact yet
"Would you root an alien?" 'Strailians!
Before ten pints, I'm pretty sure some of em where aliens 👽
S ome of the realistic conversation ever
The answer to these questions is obviously "yes"
Dave was cool, wished he survived the season.😮
Guys if you paid attention, Ray's full name is Raymond! Oh man the hidden details.
Quite properly lol
😂 ive asked one of my mates the same question before, "would u root an alien?"
I wish Dave hadn't died because a spin off of these two together would have been the best!
Prequel of Dave and Ray?!
prequel lmao
👽👽👽👽👽👽
I agree with Dave on the Star Wars girl
Tarantino could learn something from this show, something he forgot after "Jackie Brown"
I would 👽
Dave is rhe third best character, id rate in order, Ray, Gaz, Dave then freddy.
Well would you look at that. A real conversation between men. Actual men. In a TV-Series. What is this, pre-2015?
Season 3 of this show came out in 2021
Didnt like dave when the character was introduced..watching their relationship develop , completely changed my opinion of him and has end was probably the most memorable part of the show for me 😢
Tony Blundetto would do a who-ar
Very Tarantino
Fermi Paradox......?
y did u have him killed...writer of the show ...that type of friendship is .....
... Love , 😎
ET WAS SEXY AF
The Question, is would you root an Alien?
Love this show PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL the USA Loves it we have watch parties
My wife believes this flying saucer BS
There are definitely ufos. But they are produced by the military/government. No aliens though. Atleast that's my opinion.
Funny
Great show but the alien routine is very similar to silent Bob and Jay in clerks 2 .

Matt was amazing in Arrow when he was the Demons head with the league of shadows.
