This is the best homebrew pinball I have seen. The shots all look so fun and original. Nick has created something really special and I hope It gets commercialy produced some day.
I had the honor of watching this game progress from concept to what it is now. Nick is an absolute genius and is going to bring a ton of innovation to pinball!
Could not agree more, he’s crazy talented. I can’t wait to see more developments with this game and any future projects he undertakes. He’s got amazing design skills.
This was one of my favorite machines to play at Expo. Just absolutely different from everything else. I had a blast on this. Someone needs to buy this idea and bring this to life on market. I want this machine. I had a great conversation with Nick and the work put into this is crazy. I literally said "the only thing missing is the secret tape" and he was like "oh it's in there, it's a secret to find it". Mind blown. Thought of everything. Inspired me to really consider making my own homebrew. As a former skater and THPS fan this was one of the best things I've seen at Expo ever.
At very first glance, i thought "Hmm looks a bit sparse/bland" then having a proper look and getting an explanation from Nick blew my mind how in depth it is. Fantastic project. Really hope the table and Nick and his team get picked up by a big company. This table deserves to be out all over the world. Great find and video, dude. THPS 1, 2 and 3 are amongst my nostalgia GOATs.
Great job! You put a lot of passion into this machine. And there are some cool new mechanics in there. With some red an blue lights you might actually be able to recreate some sort of 2p graffiti mode in this pinball. For instance light the skateboard blue if the blue player has made the best trick or the most tricks.
I spent a good amount of time trying to code a similar concept in VPX (just for a 20 second ball save) and nearly tore my hair out. To see it executed so well in real life is very impressive.
I loved the comment "Can you tell that I like skateboarding?" It is so cool to see someone bring their passion into this. What a cool pinball creation!
great shooting. this is the coolest pin ever for sure. love the skatepark aesthetic with minimal design on the inserts. so good. the skateboard target is genius.
Such a great concept and really clever. The ONLY nitpick (and it's a very small one) is that the lower playfield looks a little plain. But I understand why it is. Especially when theming it as a warehouse. Given how incredibly time-consuming it is to design and create a physical pinball table (I only delve into virtual pinball design), my hat goes off to you, Nick. I looks like an incredible table to play.
Great video. This game does a great job of capturing the vibe of the Tony Hawk games. I can't believe it is a homebrew effort. I hope a manufacturer can get the license and bring this to production.
You can tell how much he enjoys the Tony Hawk games as there are so many wonderful details both small and hidden throughout this machine. It would be awesome to see a commercial version of this get produced one day.
@@cooltoy Right! I mean, the whole ball dropping down the left side to drain, but a ramp near the gutter is raised and if you hold the left flipper, the ball hits the ramp and hops past the raised flipper out to the playfield is great! Also the whole opening access to get what would be the 'floating tape' from the actual video game. He really nailed taking The Warehouse level from Tony Hawk Pro Skater and incorporating it into the game. I would but this in a heartbeat.
this is the best pinball design ever and the coolest thing i've seen on the internet this year. I imagine every manufacturerer is contacting him as we speak. Hey Nick.. DO NOT take the first offer!
Wow so unique and such a different world under the glass. What a legend this needs to be produced commercially similar to how TNA (Total Nuclear Annihilation) came about.
Wow, have to see this is right! THPS theme is a natural fit for pinball however you do it but I love that he did it in a way I can't imagine any current pinball company doing where the ramps and stunts are so recognizably skatepark and trick related... and it works. I hope he gets the attention this deserves to have it mass produced, either by Stern or similar company or a brand new company... keep the graphics simple, license a few songs for cheap because its free advertisement to a bunch of skaters age 8 to 80... this would sell like crazy to skateshops, arcades... if Jurassic Park can sell at Costco for 5 grand, imagine what this theme and layout could do. I want to play this with Black Flag's Rise Above blasting. Bravo to Nick and his team who created this amazing machine.
He did such an awesome job staying true to the look and feel of both skateboarding in general and the THPS game series. Fingers crossed one of the pinball manufacturers show interest in either making his game, or offering him a job in the industry, he's clearly talented.
this is super sick! I have never thought about someone making a pinball machine based off of the thps games, but this is so cool! love the level of detail of not only the whole arena but the flip-able skateboard
@@johnmcclane2139 you and me both, I been skateboarding since I was 14 and loved and played the heck out of every single Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game, so this was a dream come true to play.
I loved it. I did get the ball stuck for a bit, but was able to get it back in play. That happened to me a lot at the expo actually like I was pinball cursed haha
@@czwhat328 I know he wants to do that, one of the reasons he was showing it off here at expo was the hopes some manufacturer would show interest in bringing the machine to market or him into their employment.
