Based on your narration I would conclude that Calabar is a nice place to live considering the cost of house rent. Imagine getting on the average a self contain from 150 to 400, one bedroom 200 to 400, two bedroom 250 to 500 etc . Truely , the location , kind of building and landlord contributes to the cost of house rent as well as the kind of social amenities around the area. Some landlord are kind enough to consider the tenant by reducing the cost while some are very greedy. No state in Nigeria is cheap or expensive to live in now my sister, everywhere seems to be the same as the economy is detoriating to something else. Anambra State has almost the same similarities with Calabar in terms of the rent 🙄😒. May God help everyone of us in this country .
As someone who has not been to Nigeria before and simply judging by what you are saying, I’ll say it’s very affordable, comparing it to the life I have here. Thanks for sharing this ❤
As you have said, everything depends on what you want/your choice and I believe that is how the cost of living is for other states as well. You want apartment in the city centre, tush with nice finishing, the price is definitely going to be on the high side. Same thing applies to schools but cost of feeding (especially for some food items) can vary depending on the availability of those items. As you have said, sea foods will be cheaper in those areas with water than other places.
I schooled in cross river, cost of living is fair compare to Lagos. But it's more expensive in Calabar, which is the capital, obviously because of the amenities and tourist attractions. Some Landlord are the one that will collect the agent fee, even when you meet them directly. Thanks for sharing
The rent over there is learning work where Abuja rent is. Rents are so expensive here 😫 My sister is paying 550k for a self contained in Abuja. Location is not in the high brow areas o.

Calabar is relatively cheap, Port Harcourt eh only self contained is about 350k
I know that house rent in Port Harcourt is up there. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Great video. Could barely hear you though.
Thank you for watching. It's a silent vlog that's why I was writing everything I was doing on the screen.
I think the cost of living in calabar is almost the same If not same with Lagos
This is so good to hear because I used to think that cost of living is higher here in Calabar
Loving your videos, just one question, is the electricity constant?
Relatively constant depending on the area you are living. Thank you for watching!
Nice content ..how much would it cost to get an apartment in federal housing calabar
It depends on the number of rooms and the standard of house you want. Just budget 600k for 2bedroom. It can be more or less.
Can I get a good agent number, I need to move to my state soon.
Sorry I didn't respond on time. I don't have any agent contact at the moment.
