U.S. did win Afghan war that started in 2001, but the botched exit ordered by Biden destroyed all of it. The same Taliban had run away from Kabul in Oct-2001, when the U.S. forces entered the city. Though the U.S. gave money and arms to Afghan forces, it didn't have any strategy for rebuilding of Afghan economy and improving the skills of local Afghans. Also, the governance system in Afghanistan by local warlords should be addressed. Finally, before leaving, U.S. should have evacuated all its civilians, destroyed its arms and ammunition that it would not be carrying back.
