My wife is 5"6 and she flat-foots the 999 and never had an issue with the kick stand. The rider might be to short to fit that bike!

Seat height is 30.7 for this bike. My 2012 Yamaha FZ6R has a seat height of 30.9 and is heavier than this bike and I'm 5 foot tall and I can easily put the kick stand down. And I can't flat foot I use my right foot and tip toe but I still have full control. Which is wierd he's taller than me with a lower bike as can't do it. Wierd
You are probally just carefully. I understand that it's a expensive and a beautifull bike
