Nice job Boris! Always enjoy your videos. Here is a little info to be aware of about random survivor rescues. Depending on how many survivors are at the location If there is just 1 you will only be able to do that rescue 1 time and if it shows up again that survivor will just be walking around but if there is 2 or more you can return to that place for a chance to save them again. There is a couple of locations that have 4 survivors so you can do that encounter 4 times and save all 4 each time. Thanks for the video mate!
Many may think that I am exaggerating, but I have never found so much useful information about this game anywhere else. Sometimes I get the idea that you know more than the developers of this game. Much respect to you and thank you for your work.
It boggles the mind seeing you give such a highly detailed tutorial. I mean how did you discover all this ? I'm not the first to say it but this truly is a masterclass. Well done Boris , bravo !
Got to admit my friend, I was always aware that I could get close to Trust level 2 for Diamond Lake, as all the Highway 97 stuff (which there is the most of) gives you the trust points for Diamond Lake, but the turning point was finding a solid way to get the last trust points by finding a hostage. Searching for spawning hostage situations was getting me no where, but a chance search around that area showed the light blue circle, and I was delighted with what it led to, A NEW VIDEO, lol.

Wahoo! I'm so freaking happy to know it works on regular playthroughs too! (As opposed to only on NG+ playthroughs) Fantastic info to have for future playthroughs! TY

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. Maybe take a new stab at speedruning some hordes? Try to shave a few seconds off your times ? Or maybe getting back to the top of the Challenges leaderboards? The world is your oyster! 😀 And I’m just living in it 😊
So amazingly kind with your comments as always Violet. Got to admit, the allure of hitting some of the challenges again after my recent live stream is very appealing indeed, but after my extreme playthrough is finished, you will start seeing a lot of videos showing very specific missions, and the best ways to do them, after that, we will see, lol. Awesome 👏🏻 video Boris this is another game changer for a lot of people. Having a OP Deacon and a OP Drifter Bike right at the beginning. Theoretically you could kinda clear out the south of available hordes and all infestation zones before going back to Copeland’s lol. Then by the time you arrive back to the south via Story all that would be left is encampment jobs and main story stuff 😃👍🏻
Indeed my friend, and with the extra speed, you can now make virtually all of these jumps to these out of reach injector sites, so you can juice Deacon up far quicker now, lol. The advantages now are becoming insane my friend, and I love it, lol.
Another entertaining video my friend, Aspen and Bare Bay camps are in my top favourites to take out. These new playthroughs are a big game changer for alot of viewers who want to get ahead of the game. The education never ends. 😊

That was a great watch Boris. The hidden hostage I had already encountered but forgotten about. Are you aware of a very rare occurance where Deacon follows some clues but gets caught in a net and wakes locked in a cage. He escapes then you have to find your belongings. It's happened twice to me but not for a while.
Thank you Allan, and honestly mate, when I found the start of the hidden hostage, I actually thought this may have been one of these traps. Only ever happened to me once in this game, but that was in Cascade, lol. Thank you for watching my friend.
@@safetybeachlife it's quite rare. It has to be deacon looking for clues in a blue circle. One of the clues will trigger a rope trap which leaves deacon hanging by his feet. He'll then wake up in a marauder camp locked in a wooden cage
Another great video, Borislav! I've just completed my 12th complete playthrough, and heading down to Crater Lake ASAP is now how I start every game. While down there, I usually focus on achieving a level 2 trust at Crater lake so I can purchase the .50 BFG and the Chicago chopper, which makes clearing the northern hordes and camps an absolute breeze.

Not only that my friend, but here's another crazy early advantage. Most of the big jumps to get to the hard to reach injector sites are now bloody reachable, so you can get Deek in fine shape even quicker now. @Borislav247 The Hidden Hostage is a nice tip, thank you! I wonder if this group of marauders is meant to be the same group of marauders that kidnaps Taylor when he is following them early on in the "unlocked" Wizard Island missions?
Very good info, Boris! Kinda off topic, but when I did my last play through on Survival II, I never ran into a single marauder/ripper ambush until late after I crossed over to Crater lake, and only just a couple marauder ambush locations on that side. No clothes lining at all. But there was a TON of wolves, cats ragers, regular bears and even some birds. The animals messed up lots of any stealth activites that I had planned, and got me noticed . Bloody superb my friend. A quick trip back to the South now and you can turn that bike into a durable speed demon. I wish you well on this playthrough my friend.
Nice finding there with the hidden hostage. Or you can take the long route and clear all the Crier nests to get the remaining trust points. Yours one is by far the easiest one 🙂
Thank you my friend, and I've also saved you a lot of cursing, as you can take out every crier nest, and will get absolutely nothing for doing it (except fast travel access where they currently block this). A hostage was honestly the only viable way left.
Does the hidden hostage only appear after you've done all the steps in order or should you be able to do it whenever because it hasn't shown up for me when i tried doing it 1st ??
I would always recommend going to both camps in the South first before attempting to head to find the hostage, as if you come across any other hostage situation anywhere in the South & you haven't visited Wizard Island & Diamond Lake camps, then the options you get for where to send them are to the North only. Visit those two camps first Lee.
I have encountered a situation where the hidden hostage mission was not there. There was no freaker there. I still went down to check the place out but it was empty with just the loot. However, i got lucky with a random hostage situation and i was able to get the last upgrades to the bike. Another point to note, please do check out the 'visual' section of the bike at the diamond lake garage, there are more bike parts which give you more damage reduction (like 'wheels' which is actually an upgrade to your rim of the wheel, exhaust tip, front fender , and shroud) which don't show up in the 'performance' section. These are very cheap parts which range from free to 800 credits, i my memory serves right
The bike tips are fantastic my friend, thank you for those. Bit unusual with the hostage situation though. I've had odd occasions where a freaker simply ain't there, but, you can still go over to the corpse and hold the square button to start the hostage mission, and then the people will be there.
I’ve beat this game three times already and I just brought my old PS4 to work so when I work Saturday and nobody’s around, I will be playing and I’m gonna start another play through lol
@@borislav247 thank you you too as well listen it’s a win-win. I’m getting paid to play video games. It’s hard for me to play now. I’m in my mid 40s with the family a job obviously in everything that goes along with it so time is very valuable however, when I work Saturday and Sunday I have to be there but only for emergency calls only so it’s great.
You said in your video that the freak ears will still be there from The Horde. I went directly from your beginner video to this video and it only let me have 1001 ears. Do I just go back to the train tunnel when I get to that area in the game?
You will need to offload some or all the freaker ears before you can collect any more as you are currently full to capacity. And of course, this will have to be done in the North, as the other areas don't have anyone manning the bounty stalls. Once you have space for more, then head back over to the area where the ears are and you will be good.
@@Hellrazer80 Another factor to consider here. The ears to my knowledge don't remain forever. Every 3 days of Days Gone world time, most things respawn. Unfortunately, things that may have been dropped or not picked up will also disappear. this could be what has happened to you here mate.
Speaking of always learning new things in this game, this is my 4th full playthrough & today alone I've found 3 items I'd have _loved_ to know about in previous playthroughs! Am I the only one that didn't know about the FREE respawning nest residue in the south? By free I mean it available in areas _without_ freaker nests that need to be burned out first 🤯🥳 _So far_ I've found two Nest Residue & a Proximity Mine I didn't know about, all in the Crater Lake & Hwy 97 areas. I know the residue found in burned out nests respawns too but it's less convenient than being able to just fast travel & pick it up (only found one that is in fast travel spot but still, I'll take it! I love the stuff!) Edit: fixed typo
Ok my friend, this is new info to me. I've always just checked known burned out nest areas. Where about's roughly are these one's that you have found L8D?.
@@borislav247 The one at the fast travel point is the Nero camp next to lobert bridge horde. Just outside the building with injector, on the ground right next to the white barrier thing....one sec, I'll try to find the area in one of your videos. It LOOKS like another rag so my eyes glazed over it previous playthroughs. After finding this one I found another outside a house on the far east edge of the burned zone, just on the non burned area is a cabin, near the chairs by the fireplace is nest residue pile. I've checked other save files to be sure, wahoo! EDIT: Crap, that description above might be for where there are a couple if superior metal axes and also two the second best melee weapons... I'll need to turn the game back on to guide to the cabin nest residue - just turned everything off 10-15mins ago so I can pretend/attempt to sleep for a bit 😁 but will definitely get back to on the location of this one. The other is in next comment. And the proximity mine is literally on the opposite side of wizard island in a shed near some burned buildings, with a crate containing an ammo box
This one always appears to be there as you have to start this one in order to get the hostage situation. Also, in this video, I actually pass a hostage situation on my left just after 55:00 in this video, which is crazy as I'm talking about the random spawning of these situations, lol.

I've one question pal, are you the real Deacon st John..i ask this because as the world is going to shit I need a maverick to my goose and pal I'm getting in on the first level as the world turns to bollox, ha haaa, Boris your a genius pal you never seem to pull of the impossible in this game, but seriously and I've said this before we're good yeah, like if the world starts to fu-in eat itself, I can give you a shout yeah, pal great video because of you I walk around the map know thinking I'm a G "which I'm not at all" pal your videos are amazing you've showed stuff I didn't think were possible, borrisvstay safe and well and keep slaying I need you for when that day comes 😊take care from Dublin pal🇮🇪🇮🇪👏👌💯
Thank you for the kind words my friend, and a huge hello to all from Dublin. Cracking place you live in mate.
@@borislav247 Thanks pal, all the best..
It just gets better dont it I started playthrough followed your route upto getting superior axe then I went back to copeland got smp9 the usual hordes did first 2 missions took out all ambush checkpoint and hordes then went to lost lake did the same and route 97 so I got fuel tank suspension and auto shotgun so in good shape now to play game thanks to you and greyghost enjoying the he'll out it forgot I'm using crossbow and got explosive bolts lol 👍
Thank for Your Videos and Tips ..
An absolute pleasure mate.
@borislav247 OK, thank you and great videos by the way, very detailed and easy to follow 👍
Nice, I wish you all the best my friend.
@@leonardcrisci7254 Very nice Leonard. It's always tough to get console time when you have a family, so glad this works out for you well.
@borislav247 I tried that but when I got back to the tunnel I ran all over the place and no ears
@@Hellrazer80 Another factor to consider here. The ears to my knowledge don't remain forever. Every 3 days of Days Gone world time, most things respawn. Unfortunately, things that may have been dropped or not picked up will also disappear. this could be what has happened to you here mate.
@borislav247 thank you for your help. With this set up and your other videos I don't even miss the 300 ears.
@@Hellrazer80 Lol, yep, lot's of freaker ears to get your hands on now HR.
I actually got lucky and had a triple hostage rescue on my way to the bay ambush camp😅
Lol, you hit a home run my friend.
Speaking of always learning new things in this game, this is my 4th full playthrough & today alone I've found 3 items I'd have _loved_ to know about in previous playthroughs!
Am I the only one that didn't know about the FREE respawning nest residue in the south? By free I mean it available in areas _without_ freaker nests that need to be burned out first 🤯🥳
_So far_ I've found two Nest Residue & a Proximity Mine I didn't know about, all in the Crater Lake & Hwy 97 areas.
I know the residue found in burned out nests respawns too but it's less convenient than being able to just fast travel & pick it up (only found one that is in fast travel spot but still, I'll take it! I love the stuff!)
Edit: fixed typo
@@borislav247 ok, in THIS video at 44:33 you can see the nest residue on the ground at the right hand side of the white barrier
@@Lady8D Thank you for that my friend.
@@Lady8D Nice, thank you L8D.
Nice 🍺🍺
Thank you MD.
You fancy a challenge Boris, why don't you try a night time only play through.
That does sound like a good challenge mate.
What if the hidden hostage mission didn’t appear??? I reloaded the save but it wasn’t fixed
This one always appears to be there as you have to start this one in order to get the hostage situation. Also, in this video, I actually pass a hostage situation on my left just after 55:00 in this video, which is crazy as I'm talking about the random spawning of these situations, lol.
Shame its PS only. Im xbox so can't play it. But I love the videos!
It's on PC as well. And you're allowed to buy another console, don't worry.
Thank you Martin, and you can also get this bad boy for the PC.
@@t.fernbach602 Good point my friend.
The hidden hostage didn't appear for me
Wizard Island & Diamond Lake have to be visited first before looking for any hostages Ivan. Hope this helps mate.
So at this point you might as well just play on NG+ 😂
Lol, more fun starting from scratch and building up your arsenal Chris, all be it in a very unusual order, lol.
@@borislav247 that's why your videos are so fun
@@chrisfluharty3468 Thank you my friend.
Duuuuude! You're wayyyy too gracious to drop my name in the video like that, my friend! 🙏🙏BTW, I hope you don't mind ragging on you about how much you do tend to use that Superior Metal Axe now! 😜🤣🤣🤣 Except for the wolves! You went against your normal routine! Always a great watch coming from you and LOVE all the tips that make this game re-playable in SO many ways!! 👍🫡
An absolute pleasure my friend, and yes, I feel bad going against the grain with the wolves. I had an SMP9 for god sake, so they have should have been straight smoked, lol. Hey ho, you live and learn, lol. Thank you for watching my friend, especially as your channel is booming now, so you'll be responding to as many comments as I am, lol. All the best my friend.
