    That's been in hibernation since the year before my first car a 78 CL Val.
    Amazing.
    Neat repair. Handy having wrecks lying around to scavenge from.
    A shame the engine paint isn't like the WP.
    Can't wait for the next instalment.

    Sweet Coopz. You make things look easy. Do you know what caulking to use between the front guard and engine bay flange? Is it normal seam sealer? The original doesn't seem to actually adhere and allows the panels be unbolted / adjusted. Always checking to see if you've put a new video up, keep them coming!

    I note it has a dual outlet exhaust manifold. I had a CL 4.3 Charger and it just had a single one. I had a dual outlet one off a Pacer and fitedt it. Were they standard on the CM or is this a refit too?

    • @waterbourne9282
      @waterbourne9282 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gashy1000 It was back around 1990. The exhaust guy fitted one of the normal sized mufflers but it was a straight through instead of offset in out type. It was still quite muted but with just a hint of hemi in it. It's since had a 360 and tunnel ram fitted by the current owner- here it is here- th-cam.com/video/_5mCk7rM1X4/w-d-xo.html

      I always thought the dual outlet exhaust manifold was responsible for the ELB hemi's more modern sound.
      The mark IV Cortina with the 4.1 had a dual outlet manifold as well and it had a very different more subdued sound over the Falcon.

      @@coopzcarz7312 I sold my 1981 CM 7 years ago, was in good shape just a small rust hole in the drivers side sill, needed some body work but was pretty straight. Was dove silver with blue interior, had factory air conditioning and had the 4.3 litre motor with working ELB, I sold it way too cheap at $900, I was moving house and didn't have room for it unfortunately.
