Suggest you to buy a workshop manual ,because there is procedure for mounting front wheel properly more over proper torque values are paramount for front assembly.
Hi. I would like to tell you that the way the mechanic handled your fork was pretty bad. He was literally holding the crome plated rod directly with the bare jaws of the bench vice. These bench vice have metal jaws if you are not aware. These jaws may damage the crome plated rod of even scratch them which will wear the crome plating which will eventually cause seal leakage in the future. Also you can check if the tvs apache 310 fork seals will fit to your bike as they are also 41mm. Also you can check with latest yamaha r3 and mt03 as these also have 41mm forks.
Hey, thank you for you valuable suggestions. Your concern is genuine. At that time I did not have any option neither I have time to explore options. I had to get my bike back on the road. All your suggestions will definable be helpful for the future and for the felow owners😊
Why mr 2101?? Do u really think mechanic made damage.? Oil and oil seal needs to be replaced every year or two irrespective of ryding. The point here is, the inner tube and fork spring in it alreday damaged before repairing, he had ridden the bike after the damage , which he shouldn't. The fun part is that, due to the damge, the second fork had to do both rebound and compression, for the entire bike, it is going fail later. All this happend due to ryder error, he should have fixed asap., because of his single bike garage he didnt do it that is a mistake. Now he had to replace both forks inner tube and spring also. Im surprised the Dealer didnt ask him to replace both the forks!!! I can understand the ryder is new to this experience, usually parts are delayed and expensive it is part and parcel of motorcycling experience. Im even surprised owning 4.5lack bike, but couldnt change forks!!! Pardon me 👃. The mechanic didnt do anything wrong here, usually it is carried out like this may be he could have added a cloth in between. You're paying less and expect first class quality experience!!!!!! Wow!!! You should criticise the ryder not the mechanic friend. Nothing aginst anyone its my personal experience , you can google or youtube it out , tell me im wrong. As long as the ryder wont experience any handling issues its ok, but an enthusiast point it No.
Umm it depends upon the rider whether he wants a full replacement or not. And its a very bad way to point out that owning such a motorcycle and not spending a certain sum of amount for maintenance. Hi apurv,100% sahi hi, about chrome plating tube, but what i meant by handling is the front end damping feeling of the bike, because there is no proper compression and rebound the spring takes the excessive stress due to this bend could have happened . I never meant by the way the mechanic handling , but i meant handling by front end feeling with the chasis. Does your engine makes any kind of abnormal sound because after the second service my bikes engine is making some kind of ticking noise on the head of the engine although it's not that irritating
Prakash better to use the seal covers, it will help in longer term. Also, why there are mini yellow dots on the entire bike, I have seen this on every RS 457, Any idea?
The yellow dots are part of Quality Check process where after QC is done yellow marks are done on the parts that are ok, post which motorcycle gets assembled
I know fork protectors are available, but in my case the fork protectors wouldn't have save the oil seal, as it got damaged because of excessive pressures, like riding on the speed bumps or pot holes etc
Great video brother but you should have change the oil seal of both the suspension because one will be softer and one will be harder . It is recommended to change both at the same time.
Actually all bikes comes with dust seal .... no need such but for peace of find you can install fork cover .... anyways in this case may be it was a faulty oil seal from factory itself ....and some speed bump or pothole started oil leak
In my scenario the additional fork seal cover wouldn't have saved the oil seal. The seal leaked because of excessive pressure, while riding on potholes and speed bumps regularly
Leaking seal doesn't necessarily means its broken.. sometimes there's dirt stuck in between that you need to clean. Use a "sealmate" tool, or just make one with plastic. I don't know why such people with no knowledge buy these kind of motorcycles.. just to throw money at it cluelessly.

My rear suspension got busted last week. Rear suspension is not available with service centre I have to wait for 10 to 15 days to get it fixed
Rear suspension can also be repaired, check if you can get it repaired till the time you don't get a new one.

Good one 👍🏻
Which brand suspension do they use?
Air gap not measured. Don't blame Aprilia. Get work done from authorized workshop.
Price is nominal for this imo...
Even for my FZ they charge 1400 for the front 2 suspensions...
Bro do you use normal petrol or xp95 petrol??
Hi Prakash, What fuel you are using for this vehicle , Normal or power petroll?
I am using normal petrol only

Its better not to disturb the other suspension until it leaks
It's better to change for both. Now it will be again uneven and again oil leak will happen

tuono , will u buy one ??
its a naked version of rs457? right?
Not sure yet, will have to see after its launched
The way they have kept the bike upright is dangerous...
What's the recommended volume of fork oil in each side?
There is no official number mentioned for the fork oil volume
@prakashsuraj6495 it will be mentioned on the service manual owned by the svc, wrong volume will impact ride and wear on other parts..
After replacement is the travel uniform on both sides ? Is there any pull towards any side ? @@prakashsuraj6495
Its a major drawback for usd forks it gets leak very easily
Is it not covered under warranty?

No, this is a ware and tare part for which you don't get warranty, warranty is for manufacturing defects.
Hi. Does using a fork seal cover prevent this kind of incident ?
