    I'm still rocking my old school White's VX3. Such an awesome machine. It's bulkier than today's miniaturized machines but it locks on good targets and pinpoints like a laser. I was a dealer for years and tried all of the trade-ins and couldn't find one that outworked old reliable.

    I spent 6 solid months using Deus 2. Watched videos, studied it etc.. can it detect yes, but my conclusion is it’s a dig all detector like for relics or beach. Outside of that I could never guarantee what was going to come out of the hole like I can if equinox or legend. I dug way more nails and trash with it than any detector I ever used. I never found it any deeper than machines I had been using. May have a stable vdi but numbers are all over the place and like you said hard to determine what is being dug. I literally dug Pennie’s (zinc) over 12 different vdi numbers. I wasn’t impressed and sold it. It is great in the beach and would be my only choice of place to use it.

    Have you run the Equinox 900 with the 6" coil... Wow! I dug 114 coins in just one afternoon with the Xterra Pro and Equinox 900 6" coil. Vid to show that soon. I posted a picture of that pile of coins in my Community's section. Have you gone back to supposedly worked out areas? This morning I hit our back yard again which I've hit 3 times and found more quarters and dimes and a bling earring too! Can't wait to use the 900, which I'll unbox tonight.

    Holy shit thank you this video has been eye opening!! I'm upgrading from my Ace 300 (LONG overdue, hadn't had the budget for anything else till I got my new job) because 1.) target separation issues!! ESPECIALLY on iron/copper and nickels/pull tabs/foil etc. I know the Ace is a beginner level detector but I will never not dig more trash than goods with it just because of how off it is with targeting. The consistency with the Equinox is exactly what I've been looking for. Now don't get me wrong, the Deus II is an attractive machine, especially with the wireless technology. But as soon as I saw the 'indecisiveness' per se (for lack of a better word) of it with the targets, all I could think of was how much it reminded me of the indecisiveness of my Ace. I don't mind diggin' trash, as they always say you have to dig the trash to find the treasure, but damn if I don't get sick of pulling trash on solid hits.]And 2.) the depth capabilities of the Ace are holding me back tremendously, so either one would be an upgrade for me, but I think the Equinox has more of what I'm looking for. Plus I could care less about the coil being wireless. I feel really stupid even comparing the Ace series to anything of this scale but if I'm gonna drop a grand on a detector it better be more accurate than my last one 😆

    • @Get2Diggin
      @Get2Diggin  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly. The deus is a awesome machine and it does find everything. But it's a tone machine. I can't go by vdi numbers with the deus. The nox on the other hand separates the target with the vdi numbers and tones. That's what I like about it

    I'm watching your vdi have nearly a 20 point swing on the 900. So I'm not sure how you're stating that's going to help you id targets better?

    • @Get2Diggin
      @Get2Diggin  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was saying with that 20 point swing it's gonna help me identify targets better, because my deus was giving me same vdi numbers for multiple targets. If I'm getting same vdi numbers with deus on different targets how am I gonna identify the target before digging. At least with a 20 point vdi difference in targets I can atleast guess the target once I figure out which target gives me the vdi number

    If i swing over larger lead targets with my 900 they will sometimes come up high. Plus the closer they are to the surface the higher they will come up. Ive had lead bullets, musket-balls, slag, bag seals, etc come up from the 20s all the way to 90s. I can't figure it out. But for them Im don't care. I rather have them come up high so i could dig them. Its when they are low and I miss them is when I'm upset.

    I have the Manticore and it is nicely made but I am not seeing the great improvements over Legend. They boast more power but then tell you to turn it down to get results. My question is, what is the point of more power if you have to turn it down? I may as well save my money. I hope minelab will release an update that will make it do what they said it would do or allow it to be used in a way that actually gives some advantage over much cheaper machines.

    • @Get2Diggin
      @Get2Diggin  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I loved the manticores options, like the graph, and some of the features better than alot of the detectors, but that exact reason, I had to turn it down to make it stable. I ended up selling my manticore

    • @Bennoah60
      @Bennoah60 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was going to sell mine too but I took some advice from Neil Jones and I did see better results today. I did not find anything very deep but with his settings it runs pretty stable and sounds loud and clear on tiny objects. There may still be hope that it will come closer to the hype but so far I think there are other machines that give much more bang for the buck. It may have potential but I thought I was buying what it can already do and not what it may be able to do someday in the future. Thanks for the Video

    I also have the deus 2 and have the same problem. The high conductor range needs to be expanded and the iron range more compressed. On the whites v3i you could choose. Every detector I've ever owned, Nickels and pull tabs have always been in the same vdi range

    both are the best MD on the market but as regard to your test honestly I don't see what you wanted to demonstrate as both machines were unstable on VDI in a range of a delta of 10 score each in some cases...then, VDI stability (or unstability) depends from many factors like recovery speed, sensitivity, the way to swing, etc etc.
    So, thank you for the video but to me the demonstration on VDI stability of Equinox vs Deus 2 and viceversa is not present here..

    I’m just curious if you have learned how to swing the detector yet? You need to understand the coils are strongest in certain areas depending on the design, you were chopping the signal when your swing was even and the wiggle was ridiculous. Either do a full swing from left to right, right to left, or only use the center section. Not center section then the right side outer ring. There’s diagrams online of how coils emit and You need to look at one. The center of a coil will give you a higher, # because that’s the strongest part of the coil. Most of us will locate a target then use the center section of the coil right above where the shaft connects to get the best #’s, when we do this our swing is 3”-4” total depending on the target size, we don’t allow the outside section to cross the target because the #’s will change.

      @anthonysupplee858 I'm just curious, did u even listen to what this video was about? I was trying to show right out of box, no adjusting, vdi #'s. Not how to swing a detector. Watch some of my other videos and u will see I know how to swing a detector, this video was in my test garden.

    Really can't see your point, the Deus Does better on vdi numbers for high conductors than the equinox with gives lower numbers on the silvers. Another thing why use the worst possible program on the Deus for this test.

    • @Get2Diggin
      @Get2Diggin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I picked stock park because the 900 was in park. But it did the same in stock general also. My point was being. Civil War bullet in 80's and silver dime in 80's. Not much of vdi break. Anywhere from 2-4 numbers in vdi break between a bullet and a silver coin. And the 900 was a 20 number break between the 2 targets. The 900 separated the 2 targets in the vdi range better

  • @surelock100
    @surelock100 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The park program on the deus has too many filters in it. The general program works better but the fast program has been working great for me I can tell the difference in pull tabs and nickels but I wind up digging the pull tabs anyway because a war nickel can ring up as high as 70 but I’ve never found 1 to be sure. The copper penny rings up 92 higher than a clad dime at 90 wheats are from 88 to 92 silver dime 93 to 94 unless it’s very deep then it will ring up like a clad quarter. I have the nox 800 and 600 loved them both but it kills my shoulder swinging them all day so the deus II is #1 for me LOL

    In a future update of the Deus 2 there might be an option to normalise VDI numbers throughout all programs and single frequencies. It's not that hard to do, my Rutus Alter has it. I'm in mainland Europe so different circumstances and targets here, but i also think that in (only in FMF mode) the VDI numers are too close to each other, especially around the high eighties. When I search in a single frequency the spread is much wider.

    I agree with the sound on your 900 compared to the D2 on your video as it does sound sweeter, but as many will tell you the D2 straight out the box settings are ok, park mode is not great for certain situations, the D2 is definitely a machine that you have to tweak and run in different programs and set up your own custom programs, I get what you are saying and there will be a lot of people that just want to buy, open box and go hunt, the tones on the D2 have a lot of nuances and does take a while to learn, I remember machines from years ago, turn on, beeb beeb and sound same on every target and dig all, personally I do look at VDI for some idea, in Uk and USA ring pulls are 64 VDI and her in Uk our coins are different to your numbers, problem is there are both good stuff and Tat that give same VDI and also good tones , but it’s the tones that are best to learn on the D2. Like I have said before, D2, Nox 800, maniticore, 900, Nokta makro, Nokta simplex all great machines, we all will have things that you prefer from one machine to another from plug and play to turn on and fiddle lol 🤣🤣🤣, Test garden are fun but we know what’s under the soil and are not the real world guessing game and I thing that part of the excitement guessing what it might be, VDI on foil in Uk is as low as 32 and all way up to 60 depending on the size of it or thickness, Box of chocolates is the same for all metal Detectorists 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m a park hunter so I don’t see spending more money on different machines what I spent my money on was carbon fiber shafts , aluminum arms cuffs and every different coil they have so that kinda makes the machines different, I have all the coils . I verified that the TID scale of the Manticore is normalized across all modes and single frequencies.
    With the manticore I can identify a 1940's nickel, from a 1950's nickel from a 1980's nickel.
    I trust the TID of the Manticore.
    Good demonstration video!

    if you have a consistent swing like your meant to , the xp will give you a much more accurate reading.... stick to the minelab , as you aint got the skill to use a deus

  • @BigJockKent
    @BigJockKent ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Think someone is nit picking, maybe a touch biased towards minelab, still getting the signal, and the minelab jumps VDI numbers mor than the XP.

    • @Get2Diggin
      @Get2Diggin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Literally second day I had the minelab. And the first minelab I have ever owned. So not biased toward the minelab. I love my deus. I was only showing, the deus vdis was in 80's on a bullet amd silver dime. When the minelab had 25 vdi number break between the targets, making me better understand what might be in the hole

      Dale "Think someone is nit picking".
      Deus II TID accuracy:
      82 to 90: Silver, Lead.
      52 to 60: Wheat Penny, Nickel.
      I believe he has demonstrated a valid concern with the Deus II overlapping TId.
      Dale, {the Deus II is} "still getting the signal".
      "It beeps we dig it" or "Dig it all".
      So long and thanks for all the Butter 😆
