- If you're one of the millions of fans of "Cobra Kai," Tanner Buchanan needs no introduction. And in the new film "He's All That," Buchanan brings his trademark charisma to the silver screen as Cameron Kweller, a high school outcast who's picked by mega-popular Padgett Sawyer (Addison Rae in her feature film debut) to get a total makeover and reign at that year's prom as prom king.
The role has Tanner Buchanan playing several different styles -- from the nerdy outsider to the reluctant popular kid to the dreamy love interest -- and Buchanan is a real treat to watch throughout the film. I won't claim this movie is the pinnacle of iconic storytelling, but I really liked the way the writers and actor wrote and played Cameron as this quiet guy who seems so cynical and edgy, but they also show he's caring and protective without making him a total simp. Like, yes he begrudgingly goes along with his makeover and does stuff he'd normally not do for Padgett, but he only does it because he sees behind her mask and is also willing to bend a little. He's clearly very genuine and not very comfortable with pretense, but he's less pretentious then we think he is at the beginning.
I agree. His character was so well written and it was the highlight of the film! It’s no wonder Padgett falls for him too. I would in her place!

I watched it several times for TANNER. I mean, he's the real highlight of the movie not just with his charm, but acting as well. Sorry Addison, but I think there are better actresses for this.

I blame the director and casting person for Addison's acting in this movie. Dozens of people watched her flop when filming and never gave her any direction. In the words of Symone, several people lied to her.

I only watched He's All That for one reason. Tanner Buchanan. He was the hero of this movie, every other part of it was full of shit especially the scripting and casting a TikToker who's never acted before and reverting Madison Pettis' role into an antagonist.

For those great Gatsby 1920s era fans.. Did anyone else realize the connection with the name Buchanan which also appears in the F. Scott fitzgerald classic book.

Did no one else think this was atrocious? The dialogue, the plot, there was no chemistry. The clothing was pretty rubbish too. For super rich kids in california.
