I was in piss poor condition at 33. I had been a daily drunk, pack-a-day smoker, and modestly obese (like BMI 34). Today age 49, I am fit, reasonably strong, an Ironman, ultramarathoner, etc, and BMI 24. TRUST ME: it will be easier to get fit at 20 that it was for me in my mid 30s.
I’m using this quote going forward: “If you understand something you should be able to explain it simply. And if your genuine goal is to educate, then you should want to explain it simply.”
Every person who follows the fitness scene on TH-cam knows the concepts that have been expressed in this video. The thing that sets Joey D apart from the others content creators is that the quality of the explanation and the simplicity of it is fantastic, truly S tier. The video is called "4 cornerstone, simplified, to build muscle" and what Joe does in the video is exactly this, he outlines in a minimalist but at the same time exhaustive way everything you need to know to get big. Great work.
The editing on this is next level. Thank you so much for cutting through all the noise on social media and laying out the essentials in an easy to follow manner 👏🏻
I love the intro, so true! I see this with personal trainers a lot, using a lot of clever words and making everything from exercise choice and execution to diet seem ultra complicated so the person can't help but feel like they would be completely lost without them.
Joe is simply the best advice for everyone who wants to build muscle. Not only is his content 100% free of BS, but it's also concise, well-explained and fun.
That soundquality and that editing etc. is so incredible... Inspires me to get my ass up and do similar stuff for computer science... man... the whole concept of inverted classroom etc. If they all knew people like you and your videos, things would be so much easier and straight forward!
Editing on these videos has been getting so much cleaner and more stylised recently. Last 5/6 videos have been bangers. Congrats to you and Mags becoming parents too btw
Your videos really are becoming something. Thanks for the introspective and soothing vibe you put into it. It makes the topics so much more pleasant to watch and learn from than the rest of YT/social media stuff
Found your channel a few years back, and I’m inspired by having witnessing your growth, not only in your physique, but also in your person. Thanks for being a no bs guy on TH-cam I can come back to time and time again for information on fitness, and at times for life advice.
Just saw in your other video that you had a baby. Congratulations. I've been watching your channel since the early days with Tommy B and the two of you talking about your mad adventures. It's been really cool watching you transform as a person from a party head to a more level headed guy mature enough to start a family.
Great episode, had to watch twice on the bounce. Anyone not an app user, then another bit of info you might might useful is that Joe’s team are super response to questions and potential bug reports for constant improvements and iterations
Love the way you present information, simple and concise Take it from someone who had a long break from resistance training to start again at 60. Now 63 the gains are slow but enjoyable and the benefits are to many to list. Joe said (if you don’t have to) don’t stop , if you do t lose it to won’t have to go find it .
Love how Joe is on touching the basics again !!! Not just some bullshit clickbait video aka 30 day Tren challenge. But basic of hypertrophy. reason why I like these videos as he is brain washing me to remember about the essenstials.
I’m 53yrs young & in good shape, 11% BF with a defined (not big) physique & you’re 100% spot on re never stop training there is no way I could get in this shape if I’d started when I turned 50, I’ve trained pretty much constantly since my early 20’s I’ve never been interested in gettin huge or competing but I’ve always looked great on the beach😁 Fantastic no nonsense zero BS video. Great work Geeze💪🏼
Joe Delaney's content is just fantastic. I was possibly one of that small percentage he needed to patronise (his word, not mine) to get his message across clearly to everyone including the novices, but he did it so brilliantly. In summary, superb delivery of even superber content.
I’ve been on an apparent plateau of size for a while. Intensity is never a problem, or at least it doesn’t feel like it, but I keep looking for videos to learn what I’m doing wrong. I’ve heard all sort of theories, knowledge and papear work and it does get boring and frustrating after a while. Some times you just gotta get back to basics and this sums it up pretty well. Joe Delaney is my hero.
String a sentence together... I would love to see a video showing how to properly warm up and stretch before a big session. To prevent injuries mainly. Thanks Joe, can't wait to use your app for a year 😏
This video is exactly what I needed to kickstart my fitness journey. Your clear instructions and demonstrations make it easy for beginners like me to follow along and stay committed. Can't wait to see more from your channel!
Even though I pretty much know almost "everything" about that topic, I just love watching these kind of videos from you. Just as a good reminder and to keep me motivated! Thanks for your content
An og subscriber..... it's been fun to watch you grow in different ways. You are a breath of fresh air and also the bitter taste of coffee.... if you know then you know ✌️

Good be. But it's as easy to stay fit. So get fit in your 20's and stay fit forever.
Great work, I hope to be like you when I'm older (just not the pack-a-day part).
49 is not a Boomer, Chad @teamcoalhapcharcoal
