- We take one of our TOP 10 drives of our travels EVER on a day trip from Whitehorse, Yukon Canada down the South Klondike Highway to Skagway, Alaska. On the way we stop at the little village of Carcross to see the worlds smallest desert and shop the Carcross Commons for some local goods and then we continue our drive down to the bustling port town of Skagwag, Alaska to relive the days of the Klondike Goldrush, enjoy lunch and a beer at the Skagway Brewing Company and watch as an Alaska State Ferry enters the port. (Season 4 - Episode 23)

We enjoyed the Haines/Skagway leg of our Alaska trip almost a year ago in Sept 2019. We did the opposite direction and did the ferry from Haines. Looks like you were here much earlier in the year when there was still snow on the mountains and had much better weather in Skagway. We stayed at the RV Park right in town and it was nice to be able to go out to walk around without having to find parking. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

Take your RV and ferry over to Haines, AK. If you haven't seen Haines you are missing a lot. It does save about 12 hrs drive thru Tok, but I can't tell you to miss the views either way. Hreat video. Please make them more frequent if possible thru this dam pandemic.

Mom and dad tagged along in their Coachman Brookstone. Are they fulltiming in the brookstone?
They actually have upgraded to a motorhome. After tagging along and seeing how simple Class A life is they bought a Newmar.
@@RVingtoAlaska The nerve of them.. We are inbetween.. Used Motorhome.. Newer 5th wheel. Our budget can not afford NEW MH.. and are worried about something 10-11 years old
