Recently about 5 months ago I bought a Kymco mongoose 270 euro and I have been amazed i thought it was one of the Chinese ATV's that doesn't last long and my uncle has had his mongoose for 10 years and it runs like new so I have faith in mine and I was trying to learn how to change oil myself instead of paying 100 dollars just for the oil which I can just buy the oil myself and do it myself for a cheaper price so thanks for uploading this video.

Hey bro great videos ..we have 2 mongoose ATVs and a 90s for my 8 year old ..very fun !! Now the thing is they won’t start ..called around and they said maybe a carb cleaning and/or battery ..can you maybe do a carb cleaning video ..they want to charge me $100 to just diagnose..$150 for a carb cleaning and $60 for a battery ..battery I can do easily but the carburetor I wouldn’t even know where to start lol ..thanx man
I’m no mechanic lol kinda intimidated by taking out the carb to clean it. I’d have to research it.
Have you tried pulling the choke while trying to start them?
Then I’d try the battery since it’s an easy fix before you take it to a professional.

Carburetor
Accidentally drained the transmission oil. Do you know what transmission fluid to run on these? Not sure if the wet clutch trans oil will work since this is a cvt unlike my raptor
Any info on what antifreeze to use???
Safe to assume there's no oil filter on the 270?

Do you know what antifreeze to use for these atvs? The antifreeze in mine looks green but the place i bought the atv sold me blue antifreeze
Do you know how to adjust the idle on this quad? Also is the adjustment on the carb for idle or fuel mixture?
Sorry I don’t know how to adjust the idle. This quad doesn’t use mixed gas. I use 91 and it’s good to go. Probably something on the carburetor?

I Don’t know, never tried. If you find out post it in a comment so others will know. Remember I’m no mechanic lol I just don’t mind getting my hands dirty to save some cash 🤣
I just turn the gas stopcock off and run it until it dies
How do you replace the headlight bulb on the 270 mongoose?
Not sure haven’t had to do it, but if it’s like other there should just be a couple screws behind the light. I’ll check sometime this week and get back to you

No. Haven’t bogged down. This quad is plenty powerful.

Did you watch the full video? This quad dosent have an oil filter, just a metal mesh net.
