Yeti I hope that after watching what I have experienced in almost 14 years watching SHINee, you will understand why SHAWOL is so proud and loyal. I love SHINee forever as a group of 5 great artists that SM gave us 😍😍😭😂💕💕💕
Onew and Minho had that discussion a few months prior to Jonghyun's death. Looking back, it almost seems prophetic. Onew's polyp surgery was terribly scary. He had to remain silent for 3 months and still didn't know whether or not he would be able to sing again. Fortunately, he still has his honey vocals that are extremely unique, making him, in my mind, the second best vocalist in Kpop. Onew is such a sweetheart. He is so very supportive of the others and is always available for them to lean on...especially Taemin. Lately, however, since Onew returned from the military, it seems to be the other way around. Onew had a hard time getting back into the swing of things and really relied upon Taemin, but that's what brotherhood is all about. Although Key has a very sassy and bold outside personality, he's really a very soft marshmallow inside. He's a sweetie, and if I ever thought about a bias wrecker (I'm an ult Taemin bias), it would be Key, although I really love all the guys. Yes, Key can memorize a choreo just by watching it once. Taemin is the second fastest to learn new choreo. Minho is probably the sweetest member of SHINee. He adores everyone and others gravitate towards his open, happy personality. His happy-go-lucky attitude is a magnet for female idols along with his handsome face. The man in the orang/red vest was Minho's dad. He and Key had a rocky start, but they are best buds now and you often find them together. Minho is also totally in love with SHINee and SHAWOLs. He may be the biggest SHINee fan of all. If Minho is the most handsome man in Kpop, then Taemin is the most beautiful man in Kpop. Seriously. He is also acknowledged as being the hardest working idol in Kpop. The man is a legit workaholic. He worked so hard to become the fantastic vocalist he is today, training day and night to the point of nosebleeds and falling asleep during group rehearsals. He's known to dance up to 18 hours straight just to get the perfect performance for his MVs. It's really insane. This is what makes him such a unique soloist, his dedication and creative mindset. He's also known as being the exact opposite of his stage persona. Off-stage he's very humble and kind to everyone. For Taemin, SHINee is HOME. It's where he feels most comfortable and says he always wants his SHINee hyungs around him even when they're all too old to do music anymore. I would encourage you to watch the mini-doc, "The Artist: Taemin". It's quite a revelation detailing how other professionals in the industry view him, as well as interviews with Taemin himself. Jonghyun was the heart and soul of SHINee, and still is. I consider him the best vocalist Kpop had ever seen. The other hyungs always leave a spot for him and include him in their music. Jonghyun felt things very deeply and was a sensitive person. He had a great heart for people. He was the closest to Taemin because they trained together before meeting the other SHINee members. Thus, Jonghyun considered himself Taemin's second mother and always protected him, as well as being the president of Taemin's fan club. However, he also had a special relationship with each of the other members as well. He was also the one who wore his heart on his sleeve and would often cry during performances, prompting the others to join in the tear-fest. All except Taemin who internalized his feelings during those earlier years. He is truly a lovely person even in spirit. In my mind, 5HINee isn't just a Kpop group; they are the strongest brotherhood in the industry and have created a bond with each other that will last long after their music stops.
That was such a lovely description about SHINee. And thank you for mentioning one of my videos! I really hope more baby shawols will get to know more about Taemin and his artistry through my videos :)
I believe, by now you can understand why Shawols speak of these 5 boys so lovingly. Seeing the boys going through so much all these years just makes us Shawols just want to keep protecting and loving them because yes, they are just very precious. After constantly showing and proving to the world how amazing, talented, unique, passionate and strong they are, most Shawols just really want, more than anything else, for them to be happy in whichever way they want.Knowing or unknowingly, they have really helped many of us get through our darkest days with their wise words and soothing voices.
The clip was from Minho's reality show "Last 48hrs" - a sort of bucket list type of show, Minho nearing the end of 48hrs decides to spend the remaining time in their practice room(where he said he spent the 2nd most amount of time in his life) Onew comes to visit him in the practice room during the show and they start discussing shared things between them, then Minho asks him the question "how would you (the members) feel if I disappear someday? Since we have been together for so long" (because the show is about a person's bucket list before death and it gives last 48hrs to fulfill everything they want to do)... This is how Onew answers..... And this show took place during early/mid 2017 (before December)
This is why most of us find it is hard to choose a bias in SHINee or if we have one all of them are bias wreckers. How can anyone not like one of them. We adore all 5 of them and they do the same.
Key pretty much treated Taemin the same when he went to the military. In a show he sayed that he feels like he still needs to take care of him and his gift for Taemin was two pairs of slippers I think, one for himself and one to give to a friend in the military 😂😭.
@Maggot - I hadn’t heard that, thank you . It shows a bit of how thoughtful Key is , to think of Taemin. And others (who might need a pair of slippers )!! !! I love all of the members of SHINee!!
Key gave Taemin 2 pairs of padded sole & also camouflage cream that is good for his skin. On “I Live Alone” Key visited Taemin’s house & cooked for Taemin while Taemin played with his cat not really helping Key out with the cooking. They are just that comfortable of brothers, and On the day all 4 met up & saw Taemin off before he left the house for the enlistment place, took a picture and then Minho sent Taemin to the location with his car I think.
The from now on concert 2 months after jonghyuns passing was something I avoided at first. Then I thought of how hard it was on onew, key, minho and taemin. It was way harder but they did it. I know now how important that concerts was to them and I should have payed more attention to there feelings other then mine. Now I view it with the mind set that I am paying tribute to jonghyun and the guys for all there hard work and the love we feel for them. When your ready to watch those amazing boys on the from now on concert 2018 each and everyone one of us will be on the other side of the camera hugging you with all our hearts. Thank you for this reaction. Side note when you do watch our page watch the lyrics first to understand what they are saying, it is sooooo beautiful.
We will be here. Every shawol deserves another shawol's support going through that it is unfortunate that for all babywols who deep dive, you will experience that sense of grief and loss as you get invested in them. But we will be here. As Jjong asked, we would support each and every shawol regardless of when amd how they came in, as minho asked, we will always remember Jjong with love and compassion.
i had their concerts marathon earlier this year, and watched from now on back to back with swc v. that was really hard. i couldn't stop choking & crying 😭 especially to think that i missed the chance to watch swc v due to my circumstances at the time. one of my biggest regrets until today
I perfectly understand what you’ve felt at the end Yetti as only another Shawol can. Most of the time I’m like that too. I avoid watching things that would trigger me to tears. But I can’t forever be protected from that part of being a fan, and I don’t want to. I may not have known Jjong when he was alive but I love him just the same.
From another fellow Babywol, thank you so much for this lovely comment. I feel the exact same way and did not know how to put it into words. I’ve refrained from watching and listening to certain things for the longest. After watching this particular video however, the waterworks started. Their bond is palpable, both beautiful and heartbreaking.
@@CherB.7161 you are most welcome 🤗 and welcome to our SHINee World. I love reading people fall in love with SHINee. I know there are other talented groups, but SHINee is something special.
@@lori4021 thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, SHINee is indeed something special, and I am truly enjoying the journey of discovering more about the guys and their music.
I just hope that from now on when we think about jonghyun we thin about a strong man who didn't loose the fight but kept fighting, we think about how much he was and still is loved (by shawols and shinee) and how much he loves others. Let's all cherish his memories and be respectful to the other shinee members. Shinee is always 5 if not physically but spiritually
as a shawol from the early early days, jonghyun's passing hit me so hard in 2017. i literally could not function because shinee was all i'd ever known and loved for years - i'd grown up with them and they felt like friends/family. i'd always felt in my heart that shinee would last forever and i'd grow old with the five of them through all the life stages. i recall when it happened, aside from the obvious grief from losing one of my favourite people in this world, i was also grieving for the other four members because their bond was immeasurable. i couldn't imagine what they were going through if i was already feeling this way. i was also grieving for the potential loss of shinee, because jonghyun was such a strong presence in the group i could not imagine the members to be so strong as to continue on as 4. i honestly was preparing myself for hearing news about disbandment. but they did not and they really decided to go on as a 4 member group that's forever 5, and they did so SO well. they are stronger than i could ever be. i'll love the five of them for the rest of my life - no one else will ever come close to the five of them in my heart.
Youve totally described how I feel that time and isn't it amazing that we feel the same even though we are so far apart? I still, STILL cry everytime I think of him around that time. I still think about just how much THIS generation would have loved and adored him. If he just got the support he needed to get through that pain. The what ifs frustrated me As a mum I always ached for his especially knowing how he used to complain about his mum treating him so preciously. He joked about it being treated like a little boy but I think It's like she knew something hurts him inside but she couldn't soothe it.
I could totally relate. Stanning SHINee since elementary days and 2017-2018 are the years where I cry the most upon them... Like, it feels like a big nightmare I've never imagined. I love all of them so much. They're like the only friends that stay SO LOOOOONG in my life. Now I just wish the best for their health, happiness, and everything for them :')
Honestly next July is my 27th birthday and that's when I'm a tattoo of the April birth flower sweetpeas with "you did well" in Korean. My heart still hurts, but he still makes me smile
SHINee works perfectly because they each bring something unique to the group. Talent, passion, empathy, hardwork, compassion. They love each other in so many different ways! And above all they respect eachother, they are a family and I'm just glad I had a honour to witness their journey all these years! Awards, popularity, being at the top of charts doesn't matter anymore. At least for me. Sure, they deserve the whole world, but for past few years my priority is for them to be happy, in whichever way they want. I'm just going to be by their side, wherever future takes us. ❣️ Thank you for reacting to this!! ❣️❣️
When Onew told to Minho those words, that before Jonghyun. So when that happened, I thought about that video I feel like every pieces in my heart crushed. I hope you can react to "Breathe" by Lee Hi with lyrics, it's composed by Jonghyun and it's so touch. About "Replay", it's like anthem of SHINee and SHINee World. Whenever that song play, I always feel so touched and grateful. And thank for your reaction!
There is one thing this guide gets wrong, which I feel is important for people to know. SHINee never took time off. (They weren't inactive for a year after Jonghyun's death.) They only took a couple months off to grieve and to regroup. Jonghyun died Dec.18, 2017 and in February 2018 -- two months after Jonghyun died -- SHINee held their SHINee World Concert 2018 -- The Best From Now On concert in Japan, and only 5 months after his death they had their official comeback with their album The Story of Light which celebrated their 10th anniversary. And they had a full sleight of activities and promoted like normal. Even through their grief they never skipped a beat. It was important to them to be there for Shawols and to show us that they wouldn't give up or stop being SHINee as a tribute to Jonghyun and to honor him, so they purposefully made an effort to keep moving forward and not stop their activities for too long. The woman you saw Taemin dancing with was Sugawara Koharu who is a well known Japanese choreographer. She was also the choreographer for Taemin's "Sayonara Hitori" "Move," "Want," "Flame of Love," and she helped choreograph this performance on Hit the Stage -- which the song you heard was the Korean version of his Japanese song "Sayonara Hitori" called "Goodbye" -- and was one of several who collaborated on Taemin's "Criminal" choreography. (You also saw her as the featured dancer in Taemin's "Move" MV.) Taemin and Sugawara have worked together for years and they are really good friends. She was also the choreographer for SHINee's song "Good Evening." and she choreographed the dance for Girls Generation's song "Love&Girls," among others. She loves working with Taemin because his dance style and personality is very similar to her's so they mesh really well together, and that is one of the reasons why she has been featured in several of Taemin's projects. Taemin learned contemporary style dance from Sugawara.
I agree that they never officially went on hiatus. But the year off is probably because although they did fulfill all their contracted work, they didn't pop up in variety shows and other side promo interviews etc as they normally would. In contrast to the how you saw them during DCM for example. They laid low for awhile. Remember that they were attacked for using Jjong for sympathy (also accused for legitimizing suicide, which was another reason they couldn't even spek of him) and constantly asked to appear on shows that aimed to prod at their loss. So while on the surface you could say they didn't really take time off, you could also understand why it felt like they were on grief hiatus. Usually Shinee members would pop everywhere for award shows, interviews, talk shows, variety shows, features etc. During this time in 2018, it truly felt like they showed up only for Jjong, each other and US shawols. I don't blame. They needed to go through counseling and grief support.
@@hiddlespearean Yes, I agree they had to be careful what they said and did for a while but, they were far from inactive. Actually SHINee did more variety shows and interview programs for their Story of Light 1Oth anniversary than they normally did. We were shocked how much they promoted. As mentioned, they held their tribute concert only 2 months after Jonghyun died and then 3 months later they started their 10th anniversary promotions. They came out with 4 MVs, were on music programs with comeback stages for 6 weeks to promote 6 different tracks of their thrillogy album, they did a couple VLive fan events, they did interviews with multiple news outlets including iHeart Radio and SBS news programs, among several others, they appeared on the variety shows Radio Star, Weekly Idol, Knowing Brother and Happy Together, they went on several Radio programs, they participated in an SMTown concert, and they even had their own reality show all within about 6 months of Jonghyun's death -- all while also working on solo projects and preparing for enlistment, etc. And that was just their Korean based activities, they also had several interviews with Japanese programs and special events. (But I can understand if the average person didn't know about their Japanese activities, because those aren't usually promoted outside of Japan and you usually don't know about them unless you are looking for them.) 2018 was very busy for SHINee and Shawols.
@@milindawilson9175 yes, we know that... Besides most of the stuff you mentioned were lined up in advance for their 10th anniversary celebration anyway. Some had to be changed to suit what they wanted to do after what happened, TSOL was amended to include new songs,, broken in episodes to give them time to promote comfortably (I think it was also to allow them to heal) plus knowing they're heading for military service after, they left us with plenty. I was talking about it with newer shawols in mind, who're more used to the constant stream of content, not shawols who've known them pre DCM and SuperM, like Key said they could've done their service in between their previous hiatus it was that long😅 Also I remember anxiously waiting for every little bit of news and update, hoping to see they're truly ok. Hated that Our Page didn't win etc
@@hiddlespearean I understand what you are saying. Yes, new Shawols might be used to a different level of activity. But I'm confused as to what the fact that the activities SHINee participated in in 2018 being preplanned events mattered? They still participated in those activities in 2018, which meant they were not on hiatus. And just because they may have chose not to do EVERYTHING they would have normally done, doesn't make them inactive. I too was anxiously waiting for every bit of information about SHINee to make sure they were OK, and also feel they should have won more on music shows, etc. :D But I don't think them winning or losing was contingent on their level of activity. We still saw them all over the place in the media as part of their promotions starting in May and lasting pretty much the rest of the year. And do you really think that whomever created this guide had only become a Shawol after Jonghyun's death? I don't necessarily get that impression. And even then, although it may be factually accurate to an extent, I still want to make sure people know that that statement is misleading. If you want to say SHINee took time off, I can get behind saying they were on hiatus for about 5 months after Jonghyun died, but any more than that and it becomes untrue. If you are saying we should give them slack because they are a new Shawol, than my comment becomes even more important. New Shawols are the ones I am mostly speaking to. People who are new to SHINee need to know that if you are comparing the level of activities that an artist is on average involved in today, with what was average in 2018, it was much different. For example, most of the programs that Idols go on or things that they do as part of their promotions didn't even exist in 2018, so to say they are "inactive" because they weren't doing X, Y, and Z, doesn't make sense to me. SHINee did just as much promoting and activities in 2018 as any idol group did at that time, despite everything that happened. (Just because the guide's creator didn't know that, doesn't make the statement become true.)
Onew said that about members way before the incident. It was a show last 48 hours or something. Minho was a guest and they ask minho 'what you like to do if this is your lasy 48 hours?' So he met a fan, cook with his father and did some things like that. Lastly he spend time with onew. That's the time he said it. Now it's so hard. Onew couldn't cry when that happen. And he had to see a doctor for it😞
I for one am glad that Key talked about Jjong a couple months back. It is a form of closure for him in order to properly move on with his life. As much as we'll always miss Jjong, we can't undo what has happened but we can make sure that the 4 boys truly live their lives to the fullest and do what they wanna do.
I dont think I can ever love a group of strangers like I love shinee. At this point I just want their happiness. The love I feel for shinee is so different than what I feel for other groups. Day by day it just grows more and its so indescribable. I just want their happiness and good health. Other groups may come and go, and I may love them but never like the way I love and care for shinee
@27:43 Taemin joined Mnet Hit The Stage competition where he danced "Goodbye" (Korean version of his Sayonara Hitori) with his Japanese choreographer Koharu. He won this episode and garnered the highest score for the season. Taemin also loved how Koharu and her dance is unique, after she choreographed Sayonara Hitori so he chose her to choreograph Move.
just wanted to correct something here that the members did not take a year off(though they did worry how they will continue as 4 but they made it happen :) ) they had a concert in japan right after 2 months of jonghyuns passing(he passed away in december 2017 and the concert was on feb 2018) which must have been the hardest concert for them ever but they did it for their fans and to pay tribute to their brother. and by the mid of 2018 in May they came back with their album story of light which also had a song written by all the members for jonghyun "our page" which gives a light of hope that his words will last forever and shinee will forever remain 5 And i totally understand how u feel trying to avoid these moments but i believe it just helps you grow more fond of the members seeing all their ups and downs and them coming out of it much much stronger also the i know watching stuff related to jonghyuns passing on camera is hard but think of it this way that all the shawols are with you in it and we all can connect to those feelings with you and cry together and accept it together just as key intended to say in his words that its okay to miss him also im sorry to request these songs since you hate crying on camera :P but do watch "from now on 2018 live' performance for me personally it feels like this is the performance that makes you confront the reality that hes not physically there anymore and then the song "our page" that makes you accept it and gives you hope that hes still there forever. these two songs are just beautiful lyrically and musically p.s though we would love to watch these songs with you through your videos its still okay if its too hard to watch on camera so its okay even if you watch them on your own time but do give it a watch Also love how ive had the shinee journey once again through your channel love your reactions
Just to correct the return was in May 2018 when they did their 10th anniversary , unfortunately they didn't have rest or be on hiatus, Apart of the comeback Key and Onew were preparing their solo which was right there at the end of 2018 And Minho had to go back to filming the film, days later, Taemin travelled with several SM artists for a concert I think in Peru
@@analea10 thanks for correcting i was completely lost in the fact that the guide said they came back after 1 year that i forgot to mention that the album release was by may infact 👍 *corrected*
Jjong was my ultimate bias from the beginning. Every member had wrecked my bias on multiple occasions, but he was always the one I came back to. As someone who struggles with depression myself, his death hit me REALLY hard. It made me feel like, "Wow, even someone who has the resources to get the best help possible couldn't make it through. There's no hope for me." But seeing the other members hold each other up and keep Jjong's memory alive was really inspiring. SHINee 5 forever
38:35 this is a fan Jonghyun met at her part time job. Tried to encourage her to keep going and not to give up when life gets hard. He said he would see her after she achieves her dream of becoming a radio producer after she gets there. He also helped her clean the restaurant and finish her job and gifted her his favorite perfume.
I just want to say this is hard for shawols, but we're in this together, we comfort each other and cry together, laugh together, this fandom has become stronger with time and we're a big family, always there for each other, going through the same, ok to show feelings we're here for you. Also, on the same note, you need to listen/react to the song I will fight by Key (ft Vinxen), with lyrics, is a song we all know is for Jonghyun, and it's simply beautiful!
It was had i knew it comming. But I am someone who watch it again and again until I get used to it. I did the same when my dad passed away. We talked about him. We talked how we spend time and laughed. SHINee do the same thing so now I know I did the right thing. Why I am really thankful for SHINee is they came back. If they didn't we must have lost. They teach us to move on. And they teach us that moving on is not forgetting.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my father in the beginning of 2019 to Cancer. I didn’t cry as much as one would expect for such a kind dad. I thought maybe it’s because the reality didn’t yet sink in. It felt weird. I later realized I’ve cried more for Jjong. I think it’s because my father had lived a full life, made his own family, have seen his children grow into adults. I’m also so glad he didn’t get to witness this awful pandemic and that he’s back to our Father in heaven. Once in awhile, I would think of him and remember how good and loving he was and I smile, and also get teary eyed. I’m sure you’ll have those thoughts and remembrance too of your dad.
@@lori4021 I can totally relate. We cry for Jonghyun more because we were with dad and we shear love and have no regret other than we miss him. In Jonghyun's case we couldn't do anything for him and was all of sudden. I think that is one of reasons. It's not we love them less or more. It's never wasn't proper good bye
I occassionally watch shinee reactions to see if they'ev gained any new fans and you're honestly one of the very few I actually like and want to follow along on your shinee journey. Thank you for loving Shinee - they really are something special. I always wish that this tragedy doesn't define or overshadow the hard work, dedication, and the integrity of them as individuals and as a group so I'm glad that even though you knew it's hard to watch these, you still did and were accepting. Much love from another shawol xx
Their bond is so strong. Although they rarely showed their love in front of the members, but they always at least mentioned them when they had solo schedule, or even called them. Although they are always so playful toward each other in a show, but you can see how much they love each other. I respect all of them, not only 1 or 2 members but ALL of the members, they have such a beautiful and amazing mindset, not only their dancing, visuals or their vocals, but their personalities are also the best. Btw how about watching all of their mvs? Korean mvs or japanese mvs, you can see how much they grew 😁
hi yetti! love, love your reaction on this one. this probably hasn't been said enough than it should've been, but for me, they're the most fashionable & stylish idol groups i have ever seen! they rarely set a foot wrong in this area. you know how it feels when you see groups/artists who are dressed to look fashionable but never really own it? never happened with SHINee! must be great to have a true fashionista as one of your members lol. from their MVs to their concert & comeback stage outfits, they're all very well conceptualised. most of their comeback stages (i think that's how they call it) have different styles, even if the songs are from the same album or from the repackage album. like 'view', 'odd eye' & 'married to the music' have completely different outfit concepts. it's crazy how impeccable the details are. i'd like to call them "uncoordinated coordinated". and i'm obsessed 😅 of course my ultimate all-time favourite would be the 'view' & 'married to the music' era (that's like a masterpiece in each and every aspect, that no other k-pop act can touch lol), but for me they have cemented that since 'sherlock' era and have been consistent ever since. they experiment and triumph every single time!
I didn't expect the guide would be end up like this... But if you don't mind, I wish you could have a livestream to talk about how you feel about the last part and let shawols talk about how we felt as well. I think maybe this is too quick for a babywol, but after all, this is a part of them, a part of being shawol, rather than avoid it, like Key said, we just need to accept it, admit it, and talk about it whenever we feel it. Yetti, I feel you. I think and hope this guide shows why shawol are so proud and loyal to 5HINee that even we been through so much, we go on, stick to each other, just like 5HINee themselves want to. I believe you joined us :)
True it is a part of the journey. I haven't formulated my views on this so a livstream wouldn't be right. I will get there though and you are right it would be good to have that discussion together
missing jonghyun always and sometimes it is very overwhelming but it’s worth it to know how much of an incredible person and artist he is. he is just the kindest most beautiful person and i’m grateful to be a fan of him and shinee.
I knew what was coming, and before I knew it, I was crying again... Jonghyun was one of the most compasionate and caring person I've ever seen. He'll be forever in our hearts, and forever missed.
The Key speech is from a show where, yes, they pretty much are sharing a "motivational speech" through their own experience. The clip can be found here if you want to watch in your own time or do a reaction to
Following you my dear from the first reaction of SHINee~ As a Shawols for almost 14 years now, I love watching your reaction and being together with you in your new journey.. And seeing how you end up with emotional feelings really shows your growth from babywol to Shawol. I'm sure now you understand very well why shawols always speaks bout these 5 amazing guys with so much love~ thanks dear, for this reaction and sharing with us you journey in Shinee World~ let's continue this journey together ...
I'm crying a LOT. I really, really miss Jonghyun. I know that it's silly to say that cause I haven't been a fan for long, but it's still true. He's such a beautiful soul, and I miss him.
If you don't know it yet, we all have our "family name," "Shining" (빛나는 / bitnaneun). Our boys are Shining SHINee and we are Shining Shawols. Our "birthday" is on 31 August, 🥰 so belated happy birthday, Babywol! Thank you so much for reacting to this, especially now that you know our members better (and after surviving Dynamite and Excuse Me, Miss 🤭) and could understand why we love these boys so much and have continued to support them. Not only are they such an extremely talented and dynamic group, they also continue to work hard to perfect their craft, explore new horizons and just improve themselves. I would really be happy to see them take their well-deserved place in the international stage - be extremely popular and multi-awarded (you have no idea how much I screamed when former US President Obama name-dropped them!) But what I've realised about our SHINee boys is that the most important for them is love - especially from us. IMHO, they're just the nicest, sweetest, funniest, respectful and most loving group. If I totally didn't know anything about our boys, I would simply look at Taemin, and I would know how lovingly they raised him into this ultra-talented legend, yet still so humble and sweet. These boys share their love openly with each other and with the fans and it shows in their brotherhood, as well as reflects on the fandom. As most everyone has said, no one loves SHINee more than SHINee, and we happily take second place. I hope you've also been feeling the warmth and openness of SHINee World - this is the kind of space that our boys create. We have laughed and cried together, and I always take to heart what our boys say, "It's ok to be honest with your feelings."
Jonghyun is the reason I discovered SHINee. His words really touch me, the way he says things and his music, his voice. I'm glad I got to discover such a great person. Now I enjoy SHINee and all of their individual music.
In ever 5hinee guide wen it comes to Jjong i always cry.. Been a shawol for awhile the pain never dims it feels mayb a little less comparing to earlier times But never dims. It's sometimes tears of great joy seeing him singing, caring for others/members n then once again it hits you that He is no longer here n your sad inside becuz ur saying to yourself if only I was in the position to just hear him vent out or if u could do something. I believe every Shawol have this to say only if they were close (know each other) n could just help so we wouldn't have gotten a bitter pill to swallow😇😭💜 thanks for always reacting to our Kings it means alot... 💫💫💫
CW warning:grief I think, for Babywol, the grief is new. You have only just met our Jonghyun and also only just lost him. The grief is fresh. I have been with them since debut, and the grief still sometimes ambushes me. But it becomes a part of the tapestry that is SHINee, and the pain is part of the overall beauty SHINee brings to my life. When it happened, I was gutted. Utterly and completely devastated - and being an American with no kpop moots, there was no one to share that burden of grief, no one to understand why I felt so connected to this man half way around the world. It was incredibly difficult. So don't be hard on yourself and take it only as you think it is appropriate to take it. Give yourself time to process and deal. We are here for each other, and that's what Jonghyun would have wanted for us.
Their Best From Now On Concert was only 2 months after December 2017. It was tough but they did it in honor of him. That concert was full of love for Jjong, and his mother supported the members to continue too. Then barely a few months after they released an album and celebrated their 10th Year Anniv.
Whilst I do think this guide added some bits that I thought were a pretty unnecessarily upsetting, it did do a great job of showing just how much they love each other. That's one thing I always try to get across to people who are just discovering them. They have such a deep and special bond. Unbreakable. They're truly a family. The part where Taemin says how he wants them all to be in others lives, 30, 40 plus years from now, always warms my heart. He goes on to explain how he wants them all to live in the same apartment building together (him on the top floor so he doesn't have to worry about noise 😂), with their own families - and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened
Yes, Taemin did said he wanted to live on the top floor but when Onew and Minho showed up on other Radio Show then they were told what Taemin said, Minho refused to accept Taemin’s wish. He said the top floor will be for Onew Hyung, Taemin is the youngest so he should live on lower floor. Lol. No surprise here, Minho is always very considerate about Onew as their leader and the eldest in the group. He is very straightforward and quite strict on hierarchy & mannerism, won’t spoil Taemin no matter how much he adores all of them.
I understand how you were feeling at the end Yetti🤍🤍🤍 I got into SHINee after Jonghyun’s passing as well and I also really wanted to get to know all of the guys as a complete unit before I watched anything without him or about his passing so by the time I confronted the reality I could welcome the sadness I was feeling because it was a sadness born from genuinely loving Jonghyun and his artistry as well as who he was as a person. As usual I loved your reaction and I look forward to the next one🤍🤍🤍🤍
SHINee casting stories: Onew-1 of 2 people who were casted by lee sooman himself(founder of SM). He did a spot audition and signed the contract next day Jonghyun-scouted by SM when he was seen playing in a song festival with his band at school (he was playing the bass) Key-he failed the auditions several times but finally passed SM national tour audition at daegu against 8000 people Minho- street casted at a ski resort, he declined, but SM chased after him until he finally accepted (i think he had a special contract cause his parents wanted him to continue his studies) Taemin-passed the difficult SM saturday audition (only a handful of idols got throuth this)
I'm a shawol since 2013, that time I was a kid, but even I became a adult now I still love and admire them. for me they are not just idols, they are amazing people.❤️
Accepting the pain along with all the good makes every moment we did have with Jonghyun and still have with the boys even more special. We are here for you, Shawols will always support SHINee and each other! ❤️
Thank you for reacting to this video. Felt good to watch this guide with a fellow Shawol. What made decide to stan SHINee is their genuine love for each other (well of course their talent is given) ♥️
It's always hard for us to remember the pain we and even more so them went through with his loss. Just as Key said we try to talk about him more positively remembering the good times and his importance to us. Honestly because of his loss I see a huge difference between Shawols and many other fandoms. We still see a lot of fans being possessive towards the idols and many times doing things that are prejudicial to them. Being sasaeng, turning anti, fandom wars, believing rumors/accusations without concrete proof and even judging them for personal things like smoking or dating. Those honestly don't matter for us at all. All we wish is for their success and well-being. Everytime I see a multistan baby shawol learning about Jong I hope they mature and carry our old shawols mentality to other fandoms.
The sweet memory of Jjong makes tears fall involuntarily- it's like a reflex, whenever I see videos about him, showing us his personality and his amazing talents. He's a beautiful person ❤️ I hope you check out his albums soon! Thank you, Yetti!
The media and many people for some reason said Taemin was tone deaf while in fact he wasn't. He's in his puberty which of course affected his voice a lot and from what I know/read, Taemin's voice type and condition during puberty is harder to train compared to when others were in puberty. So he received less vocal training than other members, but after that Taemin trained and worked so hard on his vocal.
In any Video of SHINee guide, None of them Introduce them as 4 members Group.. SHINee is Five.. Now and Forever For me personally, As A Fan for years, JongHyun is The Most Talented member in SHINee. But He Always Find ways to Let the Other members Shine as bright as him too.. I Miss him more today.. tq for the reaction
Wow that guide took a very intense turn at the end, sort of wish they brought the mood back up considering the members were able to bounce back and of course are all thriving. I would love if you watched taemin's mvs!! They're very creative and interesting just like shinee's!! You won't be disappointed.
The discussion that onew had with minho was back in the year 2016. It was for a tv show "my last 48 hours" Minho appeared in the show. The show was about what Minho would like to do if he had just 48 hrs to live.
It's OK to be sad Shawols; I think that being able to have difficult conversations about mental health is part of his legacy. There are many resources to help a person who is in emotional pain that you can find in the site of the National Institutes of Mental Health.
i always look forward to your SHINee vids Yetti, you are my favorite babywol reactor ♡ Thank you for appreciating and loving all of the members equally. New fans getting to know their talent, passion, dedication and most especially their strong bond and kind hearts - that alone is enough for me ❤ To me, they are great source of inspiration. My little ray of sunshine. Am looking forward to your next SHINee content 😍
Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. It has been so long since i saw this guide. I forgot a lot. I cried at the end well starting from Taemin's words. Gosh darn it. I love their bond. I am so glad Taemin is back with them all. U can see how happy he is. I love that they always think about JH. They sweet. Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army💟
This SHINee introduction is beautifully made. Thank you too for reacting to these beautiful boys. I was reacting the same as you.😭 I've been shawol since late 2012 been following them on and off thoughout those years. They have been my escape when i feel down and tired. That dreadful day happned my brother was the one who told me that a kpop idol JH of SHINee has done coz he knows im a fan. I told him hows hes lying and got mad at him until he showed me the article. I was so devastated i couldnt understand things. Mental health was not discussed publicly so i was ignorant too. I was ready that they would announce that they will not renew their contract and not promote as a group and some fans was somehow expecting it. i would totally understand the boys and not judge them but turns out i underestimated them.. their bond is beyond friends working together but a family. A home for them. Im just so proud they overcome those hardships. Thats why shawols really protect and love them dearly. Im glad they have each other. They really are strong 🤧
I understand you’re out of words. I am too. Sometimes is really hard being a Shawol 😔 Just a short note about Key’s motivational speech: that is from the 12 minuts video I recommended in the comentes of the reaction to his solo Hate That. That speech is so so amazing that everybody should watch it. The performance you asked about of Taemin is from the show “Hit the stage”, a dance contest show. Taemin just appears in the first episode (there is where him and Ten (WayV-SuperM) meet for the first time). The Unit is ok. A survival show to make 2 bands (boys and girls) with idols that have already debuted but their group failed (like a second chance). Taemin appears just in the two first episodes if I remember correctly but the show it’s ok if you like survival shows.
Thanks for your reaction! I'm glad you're getting to know the other sides of the SHINee members. I cry everytime I see that performance of From Now On and I don't usually cry when I watch things but that one gets me all the time. The SHINee 5 are so incredible and I am very grateful that they are still active and blessing us with their music. They're such an inspiration and I have so much love for all 5 of them.
Watching this video after a long and tiring day really made my day!🥺💙💙 Thank you so much Yetti I am literally grateful to you. Also, It's okay, we all know how you feel and how hard this can be, so take your time and when you find the right time, all Shawols will be there with you of course.🥺💙💎 As Key said, it doesn't have to be sad talking about Jonghyun anymore. Let's try to remember all the happy and wonderful things he did and how his presence made so many people feel at ease through his words.🥺💎
When i heard about jonghyun's passing i couldnt get myself to watch anything related to shinee.. Not even hearing onew's voice like i used to do everyday.. As someone who struggle with depression and mental health too i thought i was the one who lost the battle.. It took me 2 years to get myself togather and start watching them again.. Rest in piece you sweet angel.. We shall meet again ❤️♥️
Please react to when they got their Daesang award, or just watch it alone. All the feels which shows the fruit of their hardwork, I know most groups are very hardworking. But theirs was really special.

You did a great job reacting this. As shawols we always cry and laugh together. I hope you also will not give up just because it's hard
Yeti I hope that after watching what I have experienced in almost 14 years watching SHINee, you will understand why SHAWOL is so proud and loyal.
I love SHINee forever as a group of 5 great artists that SM gave us
😍😍😭😂💕💕💕
Thank you, for paying homage to a brilliant and beautiful talented young man 😓
wonho have comebake 14/9 with blue can you do reaction to it ...
I love this description thanks
I love your comment. You have so clearly defined the basic details of the SHINee members.
It was in the year 2016 and not few months prior to jonghyun's passing.
That was such a lovely description about SHINee. And thank you for mentioning one of my videos! I really hope more baby shawols will get to know more about Taemin and his artistry through my videos :)
yesss that so sweet of you🥺
This guide just screamed "nobody loves SHINee more than SHINee!"
Yes they are indeed ❤
I believe, by now you can understand why Shawols speak of these 5 boys so lovingly. Seeing the boys going through so much all these years just makes us Shawols just want to keep protecting and loving them because yes, they are just very precious. After constantly showing and proving to the world how amazing, talented, unique, passionate and strong they are, most Shawols just really want, more than anything else, for them to be happy in whichever way they want.Knowing or unknowingly, they have really helped many of us get through our darkest days with their wise words and soothing voices.
🌸 they all are so important can learn from them
The clip was from Minho's reality show "Last 48hrs" - a sort of bucket list type of show, Minho nearing the end of 48hrs decides to spend the remaining time in their practice room(where he said he spent the 2nd most amount of time in his life) Onew comes to visit him in the practice room during the show and they start discussing shared things between them, then Minho asks him the question "how would you (the members) feel if I disappear someday? Since we have been together for so long" (because the show is about a person's bucket list before death and it gives last 48hrs to fulfill everything they want to do)... This is how Onew answers..... And this show took place during early/mid 2017 (before December)
😭😭😭😭😭
This is why most of us find it is hard to choose a bias in SHINee or if we have one all of them are bias wreckers. How can anyone not like one of them. We adore all 5 of them and they do the same.
fr
Key pretty much treated Taemin the same when he went to the military. In a show he sayed that he feels like he still needs to take care of him and his gift for Taemin was two pairs of slippers I think, one for himself and one to give to a friend in the military 😂😭.
@Maggot - I hadn’t heard that, thank you .
It shows a bit of how thoughtful Key is , to think of Taemin. And others (who might need a pair of slippers )!! !!
I love all of the members of SHINee!!
@@mjj1434 th-cam.com/video/6_EdwvuQnyg/w-d-xo.html
Key gave Taemin 2 pairs of padded sole & also camouflage cream that is good for his skin. On “I Live Alone” Key visited Taemin’s house & cooked for Taemin while Taemin played with his cat not really helping Key out with the cooking. They are just that comfortable of brothers, and On the day all 4 met up & saw Taemin off before he left the house for the enlistment place, took a picture and then Minho sent Taemin to the location with his car I think.
@hani - Thank you, that was very sweet of you to send me .
Sorry I hadn’t commented earlier , I just saw your note today !!
@ Qwertyelaxh - Thank you as well - I didn’t know that either !
So sweet of you !
Hi thanks for that support, I'll need it when I watch that
We will be here.
This message is soo comforting
@@Yetti. ❤️❤️❤️
I cried. I wish SHINee have a very good life till the end. They deserve the world.
The what ifs frustrated me
As a mum I always ached for his especially knowing how he used to complain about his mum treating him so preciously.
Thank you for reacting to this!! ❣️❣️
Me too 😆
When Onew told to Minho those words, that before Jonghyun.
It's really tough
I cant watch that.... i cry, i know it was a joke and way before everything happened, but i cant
Thanks for the clarifications 😀
I was talking about it with newer shawols in mind, who're more used to the constant stream of content, not shawols who've known them pre DCM and SuperM, like Key said they could've done their service in between their previous hiatus it was that long😅
Also I remember anxiously waiting for every little bit of news and update, hoping to see they're truly ok.
And he had to see a doctor for it😞
Heart breaking
Always a pleasure seeing you react to shinee. You're so thoughtful and respectful. So happy to be on this journey with you.
Yetti, please never stop loving and making SHINee content. We love you. ❤
@27:43 Taemin joined Mnet Hit The Stage competition where he danced "Goodbye" (Korean version of his Sayonara Hitori) with his Japanese choreographer Koharu. He won this episode and garnered the highest score for the season. Taemin also loved how Koharu and her dance is unique, after she choreographed Sayonara Hitori so he chose her to choreograph Move.
just wanted to correct something here that the members did not take a year off(though they did worry how they will continue as 4 but they made it happen :) ) they had a concert in japan right after 2 months of jonghyuns passing(he passed away in december 2017 and the concert was on feb 2018) which must have been the hardest concert for them ever but they did it for their fans and to pay tribute to their brother. and by the mid of 2018 in May they came back with their album story of light which also had a song written by all the members for jonghyun "our page" which gives a light of hope that his words will last forever and shinee will forever remain 5
And i totally understand how u feel trying to avoid these moments but i believe it just helps you grow more fond of the members seeing all their ups and downs and them coming out of it much much stronger
also the i know watching stuff related to jonghyuns passing on camera is hard but think of it this way that all the shawols are with you in it and we all can connect to those feelings with you and cry together and accept it together just as key intended to say in his words that its okay to miss him
also im sorry to request these songs since you hate crying on camera :P but do watch
"from now on 2018 live' performance for me personally it feels like this is the performance that makes you confront the reality that hes not physically there anymore and then the song "our page" that makes you accept it and gives you hope that hes still there forever. these two songs are just beautiful lyrically and musically
p.s though we would love to watch these songs with you through your videos its still okay if its too hard to watch on camera so its okay even if you watch them on your own time but do give it a watch
Also love how ive had the shinee journey once again through your channel love your reactions
I will watch those tributes I just wanted to be in emotional state where I can take it in properly ☺
@@Yetti. totally understand that never rushing on anything take your time girl we are right there with you :)
You should watch on your own the The Best of 2018 concert in Tokyo Dome… you will love it and you will know why Shawols love them so much.💎💎💎💎💎💕💕💕💕💕
38:35 this is a fan Jonghyun met at her part time job.
The way you play kind in the end ❤ hug for you
It was had i knew it comming.
Sorry for your loss 🤗🤗
@@Yetti. thank you
I’m so sorry for your loss.
@@windsl280 thank you for sharing your story and for your kind reply, giving me clarity and another perspective into things :)
Korean mvs or japanese mvs, you can see how much they grew 😁
hi yetti! love, love your reaction on this one. this probably hasn't been said enough than it should've been, but for me, they're the most fashionable & stylish idol groups i have ever seen! they rarely set a foot wrong in this area. you know how it feels when you see groups/artists who are dressed to look fashionable but never really own it? never happened with SHINee! must be great to have a true fashionista as one of your members lol.
from their MVs to their concert & comeback stage outfits, they're all very well conceptualised. most of their comeback stages (i think that's how they call it) have different styles, even if the songs are from the same album or from the repackage album. like 'view', 'odd eye' & 'married to the music' have completely different outfit concepts. it's crazy how impeccable the details are. i'd like to call them "uncoordinated coordinated". and i'm obsessed 😅
of course my ultimate all-time favourite would be the 'view' & 'married to the music' era (that's like a masterpiece in each and every aspect, that no other k-pop act can touch lol), but for me they have cemented that since 'sherlock' era and have been consistent ever since. they experiment and triumph every single time!
Hello again our favourite babywol ❤
Hello 😊
Princes of kpop? What an understatement, they're a legend
missing jonghyun always and sometimes it is very overwhelming but it’s worth it to know how much of an incredible person and artist he is. he is just the kindest most beautiful person and i’m grateful to be a fan of him and shinee.
I knew what was coming, and before I knew it, I was crying again... Jonghyun was one of the most compasionate and caring person I've ever seen. He'll be forever in our hearts, and forever missed.
Couldn't stop the tears near the end.. the members are so strong! Big hug for you Yetti 💕
Hugging you too
I very miss him...
The Key speech is from a show where, yes, they pretty much are sharing a "motivational speech" through their own experience. The clip can be found here if you want to watch in your own time or do a reaction to
Thank you. It was soooo lovely
It’s a brilliant speech. Live like a chicken.
@@Yetti. You must watch it. He was so inspirational. I have actually recommended it to you a couple of times already.
Yes I understand
I'm crying a LOT. I really, really miss Jonghyun. I know that it's silly to say that cause I haven't been a fan for long, but it's still true. He's such a beautiful soul, and I miss him.
❤
Omg Minho with long hair as the Asian Legolas is perfection! I couldn't agree more.
😍
SHINee more ❤️💎💎💎💎💎
SHINee is the best and 5 of them are so lovely and talented. Love watching your SHINee rections ❤
I really love your reaction yetti
Please support SHINee together😊💙
For me, Tom and Jerry was Minho and Jjong. The sns pics era was epic.😆
Jonghyun is the reason I discovered SHINee. His words really touch me, the way he says things and his music, his voice. I'm glad I got to discover such a great person. Now I enjoy SHINee and all of their individual music.
Everytime I see jonghyun...I don't have any words but tears rolled down...miss him alot...we, Shawol lost one of our Gems...
CW warning:grief
I think, for Babywol, the grief is new.
2:10 They all looked so good
Sooooo good
It was so special sharing this with you. I hadn’t seen this guide before and really appreciate it and you.
He is very straightforward and quite strict on hierarchy & mannerism, won’t spoil Taemin no matter how much he adores all of them.
perfect timing! i just sat down with my first cup of coffee!
Yum me too
Omgomgomg have waited with anticipation for another SHINee reaction of yours but 44 mins?? I'm sooo greatful and excited for this! 😍
It was a rollercoaster ☺
love SHINee so much and so damn proud of them!
It's a really tough journey but thankful we are together.
SHINee casting stories:
Onew-1 of 2 people who were casted by lee sooman himself(founder of SM). He did a spot audition and signed the contract next day
Jonghyun-scouted by SM when he was seen playing in a song festival with his band at school (he was playing the bass)
Key-he failed the auditions several times but finally passed SM national tour audition at daegu against 8000 people
Minho- street casted at a ski resort, he declined, but SM chased after him until he finally accepted (i think he had a special contract cause his parents wanted him to continue his studies)
Taemin-passed the difficult SM saturday audition (only a handful of idols got throuth this)
Oof. As a veteran shawol it is amazing seeing babywols love SHINee and Jonghyun so much. Thank you for loving them.
I'm a shawol since 2013, that time I was a kid, but even I became a adult now I still love and admire them. for me they are not just idols, they are amazing people.❤️
Love Hate That. I can't stop listening to it.
Soooo good
This is🥰 pure love
Accepting the pain along with all the good makes every moment we did have with Jonghyun and still have with the boys even more special. We are here for you, Shawols will always support SHINee and each other! ❤️
Thank you for reacting to this video. Felt good to watch this guide with a fellow Shawol.
What made decide to stan SHINee is their genuine love for each other (well of course their talent is given) ♥️
10:38 please watch full version. It motivated me.
26:57 - 1st lady? Who? 😂
29:01 Taemin said his 1st vocal teachers was Onew and Jonghyun
When I saw you uploaded a new SHINee reaction and that too 44 mins long, I got soo happy but the end of the vidoe I was so emotional.
We all love him and knows it too 💕 Lets stay strong shawols and forever protect our 5hine ❤
p.s. once again, thank you for reacting yetti ❤
Rewatching this because I miss your SHINee reactions haha ♥
I'll be back with them soon x
You’re doing great! Your videos are fun, natural and engaging.❤️👍🏻
Thank you 💎💎💎💎💎
When you've been a Shawol for 12 years, and still learning things about them.
I Miss him more today.. tq for the reaction
yes music videos in order would love it
Wow that guide took a very intense turn at the end, sort of wish they brought the mood back up considering the members were able to bounce back and of course are all thriving. I would love if you watched taemin's mvs!! They're very creative and interesting just like shinee's!! You won't be disappointed.
Bitter sweet...5HINee forever ╥﹏╥
Thank you so much Yetti
The discussion that onew had with minho was back in the year 2016. It was for a tv show "my last 48 hours" Minho appeared in the show. The show was about what Minho would like to do if he had just 48 hrs to live.
It's OK to be sad Shawols; I think that being able to have difficult conversations about mental health is part of his legacy. There are many resources to help a person who is in emotional pain that you can find in the site of the National Institutes of Mental Health.
I have nothing much to comment on this. Just want to say that I love 5hinee and I am so so so proud of them. And thank you for this reaction. ❤️❤️
20:10 Moon River Waltz such a beautiful Japanese ballad
i always look forward to your SHINee vids Yetti, you are my favorite babywol reactor ♡
Thank you for appreciating and loving all of the members equally. New fans getting to know their talent, passion, dedication and most especially their strong bond and kind hearts - that alone is enough for me ❤
To me, they are great source of inspiration. My little ray of sunshine.
Am looking forward to your next SHINee content 😍
Thanks there's soo much too love here.
I was reacting the same as you.😭
I've been shawol since late 2012 been following them on and off thoughout those years.
You need to watch Taemin & Keys ep of “I live alone” (ft Kkoongie) right before Taem’s enlistment 🥺
I understand you’re out of words. I am too. Sometimes is really hard being a Shawol 😔
Just a short note about Key’s motivational speech: that is from the 12 minuts video I recommended in the comentes of the reaction to his solo Hate That.
They're such an inspiration and I have so much love for all 5 of them.
omg shinee again thankyouu yetty🥺♥️
Always
In 2023 and it was never my plan to cry at 4 in the morning
Watching this video after a long and tiring day really made my day!🥺💙💙
Thank you so much Yetti I am literally grateful to you.
Also, It's okay, we all know how you feel and how hard this can be, so take your time and when you find the right time, all Shawols will be there with you of course.🥺💙💎
As Key said, it doesn't have to be sad talking about Jonghyun anymore. Let's try to remember all the happy and wonderful things he did and how his presence made so many people feel at ease through his words.🥺💎
Pleaseee... I really wanna see your reaction when you hear SHINee - the reason
This is why you can't have a bias in Shinee. Impossible 💕💕
Oh myyy! So happy to see SHINee again!
Thank you so so much ❤️
When i heard about jonghyun's passing i couldnt get myself to watch anything related to shinee.. Not even hearing onew's voice like i used to do everyday.. As someone who struggle with depression and mental health too i thought i was the one who lost the battle.. It took me 2 years to get myself togather and start watching them again.. Rest in piece you sweet angel.. We shall meet again ❤️♥️
Thank you so much, I love your SHINee reaction
Please react to when they got their Daesang award, or just watch it alone. All the feels which shows the fruit of their hardwork, I know most groups are very hardworking. But theirs was really special.
