2 of 4 recently delivered already bricked. Your insiders have it right.
"Bricked"! More like a Cement Block.
My dealer got one I was suppose to pick up today and it bricked 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Hey CJon32’s! Pretty cool to see you commenting on my video dude! Sorry about your car. You gotta do a video on this! Screwing up your delivery is pretty epic.
@@CJON32s it’ll look good parked on a trailer lol
@@ironhorse9216 I wonder if the fake engine sounds still work if it’s bricked?
86k at dealership near my house... I'm not buying one till they put a hellcat motor back in it
Yep, restoring old stuff instead of buying new. It's finally become cheaper
At 86k it better have a hellcat motor and and $30k cash in the glovebox
Terrible cars from a terrible time in automotive history. It’s gonna take time to fix the last regimes choices.
Words of wisdom.
Yeah and the new regime is in elon's back pocket. I guess he owns Tesla right so much for your thoughts.
@@392scatpack3 Elon is pro free market. And adding more EV’s to compete with Tesla doesn’t make a lot of sense either lol
At least 3-4 years
@@392scatpack3if you think Elon makes his money off of Tesla being a car company, you don’t understand anything.
Trash / Unreliable / Fire Hazard
Many buyers of these disasters have already experienced EV cars, trucks, buses, etc., bursting into flames, due to faulty battery packs spontaneously igniting. Only fools with deep pockets and empty heads will buy these rolling funeral pyres.
"car will fail under it's own weight" yeah literally when it creates a sinkhole in your driveway from being so heavy
Seriously! Weighs as much as a Class B motorhome!
Is that why the tyers on these cars are half way in the dirt in those big parking lots? 😂
@ocmotivator You see, it not even the fact that we are not ready for EV's yet. It's the fact that Dodge wasn't ever, and should have never been an EV brand. These things are poorly constructed in ways that surprise me at every turn. And wouldn't it make sense that because of how heavy it is, shouldn't it have "the better everything"? The power/tech-to-weight ratio doesn't even exist!
@ocmotivator When you say it is a brick, it's literally "just a brick".
They'll go through tires regularly too ........if it's not broke down
I would cancel this car if i was the stelantis CEO. Its an embarrassment to stelantis. Bring on the ICE Charger please.
Stelantis not capable of embarrassment.
Daytona is DOA
Jeep is having a hard time unloading the 4Xe's. I can't imagine how they're going to sell these puppies for $72,000+!
There's just something inherently unattractive about a "performance" car that weighs as much as a family SUV.
The EVs fad is over finally
I don't think the fad is over, but the idea that you can throw an EV system in a high-selling vehicle and it is practical and everyone will want it, is almost over. BYD is out selling Tesla because they took the winning formula and ran with it.
@@Mark_5150 BYD is outselling Tesla because its a Chinese brand and gets stuffed to the brim with government subsidies on top of having the biggest "home market" in the world. Same as with all other Tech companies over there.
Being a Chinese company and claming you are outselling anyone but another Chinese company is cheating.
This thing is going to be a disaster folks.
I think its gonna be a bigger flop than the Ford Edsel
Beta testers wanted. Just ante up $85K and for an additional $10K markup, Stellantis will include a bottle of KY.

Literally the most consistent content creator and Dodge news source on TH-cam! Thanks for going the extra mile for us and keeping us informed.
TK just posted a video an hour ago about getting calls from 4 dealers across the USA about their Charger EVs being dead on delivery.
This has been nothing but an abject disaster for the brand. And it feels like the only way for them to fix things is to split off the American brands and put Kuniskis in charge of the whole thing. EVs and Dodge is like oil and water, except the oil is hot, so not only does it not mix, but it creates an absolute mess.
Hopefully we can see them release the SixPack without too many issues though.
82 sold. At least you don’t have to worry about anybody stealing it. It only goes 5 miles and then it breaks itself.
Dodge died for me when they tried that name change to Ram then the nail in the coffin was going european
@@Mr.WellingtonVonDukeIII I worked for a dodge dealership. a little old man asked us to deliver his new van home. there was a little sticker on the dashboard saying engineered ram tough. as he said it out loud he said that is a crock of shit. very funny.

Nobody wants a stupid EV and if you buy one 🤡
Yep! No way they cost as much as an ICE car to mfr and they want how much?
Pass on all of them. Married to a dealer for life.
Imagine owning one out of warranty!
You know what's scary? I researched the Dodge Charger EV on Google, and they have prices of $60,000 and some of them are $78,000. So, yeah, the prices are crazy.
I can tell you this, many of these vehicles are only having these issues because dealerships lack experience with the platform. It's their first fully electric platform. They will get this ironed out very soon. This platform will be successful regardless of all the hate. It's got huge potential. The electric versions will sell more as prices drop and the dealerships start to understand the platform more inside and out. This is just time under center, the more time they have with it, the more they will know and understand. These vehicles come with owner manuals and instructions but the master class is in progress. Lets stop the unnecessary hate due to ev bias. Acting like the biggest brands don't dill with setbacks when it comes to laughing a new vehicle!🤦🏿♂️ This is why it's highly advise against buying new platform cars no matter the brand in their first two years. Leasing is the best option in this case.💯
I can tell you from experience, when these vehicles leave the factory and head to storage yards, they are no longer repaired by factory employees who originally put them together and know them inside out. Stellantis as did FCA contract out the repairs to fly by night auto repair companies usually owned by someone in the corporation or recently retired from the corporation and sometimes the supplier who's part is faulty. Bottom line is they have little knowledge of how all the parts go together, the order of the process, experience, etc. Here's a guess! The programming fault is in dispute, probably with a 3rd party involving Government legislated spyware ad in at the last minute before launch.
Just say no to the socialist EV.
While you’re on the bus stop
Maybe we should stop buying elon's Cars. Since you want to stop socialism

Really bad move to ship these cars to dealerships. Going to be a nightmare for dealerships and mad customers that have problems. Isn't worth all the bad PR. Scrap them and chalk it up. We want the ICE version.
100%, well said sadly. Good car, bad EV. ICE version will go a long way to make the new car right. The clown show that has sullied the brand though will take a good long time to fix.
Funny enough….. Even an ICE version is a bloated, over loaded with tech, POS. And they have many of us begging for it in the face of their determination to foist EV’s upon us. That’s how far the car industry has fallen.
I guess they ran out of room in finished car lot. "Just ship em' out of here!"
Wild situation. Cars have loads of issues, still. Stellantis says ship anyways. Cars brick as expected, which they HAD to know would happen. I smell a stanky-ass lawsuit pending...
I think they are good looking cars. I’m I going to buy one? Nope. I’ll keep my old 34,000 mile Charger.
Typical of CDJR. Kiss 'em and ship 'em. Let our customers suffer.
I just wish they would stop forcing EV's on the buyers when 1 clearly most people don't want one- and 2 most of the US isn't ready for EV's. It's beyond belief that they would ignore the buyers and try and do JUST EV's rather than what EVERY other company does and have half and half!!
The ford f150 has diesel, gas, hybrid and electric. That's a lot of choices. Doing one out of the four is a terrible idea. Dodge may be done for.
EV's are dead. People just DONT WANT THEM. It's more obvious than ever.
Here in canada we have a billion dollar EV battery plant that is DEAD IN THE WATER.
Drill baby drill. Bring back V8's. I can tell you that MY V8 isn't going ANYWHERE. They'll have to fight me for it
@@iRemainNameless Elon Musk got us talking about EVs to save the planet. "I have a prediction that by 2030 every car in the U.S will be electric, and I'm not talking hybrids, I mean all electric" - Elon Musk
Hopefully they have trained lots of techs to work on them. Dodge has always had the worst electrical systems in there vehicles since forever. This could be a total disaster.
Wow. Interesting. It sounds like they are literally shipping bricks.
Anyone want to take one for the team and buy one of these? 😂
I like how it looks. I would definitely consider buying the gasoline engine version.
@@ScanFan_Ed Hell No

The Dealers are getting a code that the battery needs to be replaced , but even when they do they still don’t work …. that’s a brick!
I have seen them being shipped on I-75 since last week
It’s almost criminal how poorly Carlos managed this company. I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow, some way, Stellantis pursues clawing back, or what have you, some chunk of the money that I’m sure they paid him to go away.
In my best Nostradamus voice. By July 2025 CDJR will recall all EV Wagoneer's and Charger's and destroy them.

Guys like me, will never see the inside of a Scat Pack - let alone an EV. Thats not a plea for sympathy - cancer has led me in another direction. That being said: I could never, ever, imagine laying that kind of coin on any electric vehicle, let alone that one. The EV failure is pretty much fait complete…
Ouch... sorry to hear this. Where do you live? You're welcome to come take my Scat Pack out for a cruise!
@ - I may take you up on that! I’m in remission (spinal cancer). I have a road to hoe yet, but I’m getting there.
To many it’s an ‘idiotic car’, but in 2015, I bought a 2013 Cooper Countryman S for work (I was driving 80-150 miles a day, so the truck had to go and I needed something good on gas. I did a delete on the turbo downpipe and put an air box in.
My friends thought I was nuts, as I’m 6’4” 260, but I adored that car. Went to hell at 99k and when I got cancer, I had it towed to my mechanics. It’s a goner by now.

Hello Brad aka OC Motivator. It's great that the new Charger Daytona is being delivered. If you haven't seen Tk's latest video. He says that as they are delivered to dealers they are bricks and the dealers are having to tell Stalantis to replace the battery packs.
Why would anyone buy a Mopar product when you can get a 2020-2022 BMW 840 with a Gen 2 B58 for $40-50k??? A tune and DP and that 840 smokes everything except the Demon. 840 way better looking too, coupe or gran coupe.
Hey, stop making so much sense! lol
they should just bring back last gen and uptate the hood bumpers and nav id go another 3 years. on both models.
You wanna know how bad this situation is? I'm a EV fan (AND a car guy) and I absolutely hate the new Charger, not because it's actually a bad car, but because Dodge fucked it up so bad it's crazy! the exhaust is extremely bad, no virtual gearbox, no drama, the thing can't even spit it's wheels. it's ruined... no fun, not even a good regular EV
I just can’t believe this is happening to Dodge
It is hard to believe really. When they have a legacy of the HEMI and the popularity of the RAM platform, offroad and aftermarket. And they have/are considering discontinuing the HEMI?
What a foolish move. Hindsight will show how short sighted this strategy is
Just spotted a video on TK’s garage: New Charger EV Dies After Only 5 Miles…😂
I saw that...What perfect timing! Wow, didn't take long at all
How many car enthusiast here in 25-30 years will be trying to restore a battery operated car???? Zero!!!!
Great video and thank you!!!
I can remember the "malaise" era of American cars from the 70s to 80s, and that was nothing compared to where we are now. The American car market ( all really) is cooked. Car quality is way down, and prices are way up. There will be almost no used car market in 20 years because there won't be any used cars. 1 owner then to the crusher.
Dodge doesn’t even have the infrastructure to repair these cars .. have they started training mechanics on how to service and repair these cars ? What are the valuable service employees going to do without the rountine oil changes ? Evs affecting the work force .
There is definitely a market for E.V.'s but until the technology advances to the point where E.V.'s infrastructure and power source(NO ION BATTERIES!), I feel the government(and the behind the scenes "investors" pushed this junk on the market and it has resulted in failures and mistakes. Oh sure, there are some decent examples E.V.'s out there but overall the concept is not viable for the masses due to the many mistakes. Also, and am sure this comment may come across as harsh(not meant that way), Dodge was not really prepared to enter the E.V. market; they lost numerous engineers, designers, etc., etc. required to support and resolve E.V. matters.
This is the problem with Dodge. They're always cutting Corners to buy. cheap parts to put in their cars these batteries shouldn't be dead already. Right away. You know that. They invested into some cheap batteries. That's why the batteries are dead already.
Im a Ford guy through and through. But I love the hemi! This EV BS needs to go!!!
This will be the Dodge Hornet of sales failures.
Dude nothing about an EV car is fun or exciting...it's just something to transport people from point A to B.
Yep! and no way they could even make it to "C".
@ocmotivator lol that's a good one 👍
These things getting released is going to be such a hilarious train wreck and a half. Feel bad for anyone who gets one.
major networks make a lot of money off of advertising for car companies, so you don't bite the hand that feeds...
I will never buy this vehicle, it is an EV, not a muscle car.
They didn't even make it look like a muscle car. It looks more like a typical everyday Honda hatchback looking car with the look of the rear end.
I still find it hilarious when Dodge said it would be an affordable EV. LOL
All price gauging dealers should be stripped of their license and that goes for all brands bc i have paid 10k over on my dark horse
tried ordering a 2025 Ram 2500 today with 6.4 hemi. not possible. all gas rams on hold. ridiculous!!!
Dodge screw up. Most of the Dodge charger are bought by car guys who love their V8 engine
I'd like to say that I absolutely LOVE the Lamborghini Brad!!! I love the Swinger, but boy do I love the Lambo also! 😁👍🏼
Thank you for telling it as it is.
These will be discounted, not marked up. They will be on sale for 3-4 years and then discontinued after selling less than 10,000 units. By then, Dodge will be sold off.
I would not under any circumstance buy one of these Chargers. PERIOD. To start with, it's a first-year car. Then to pile on that it's an EV. Finally, it already has issues even before hitting the road. I mean this thing cost as much as my first house did 33 years ago. No just No.
I worked development. They brick just sitting there waiting for Engineers to test them. If you have your own CAN box, then you can keep resetting the numerous faults and deal with the failing hardware and computers😂
Maybe they should NOT put them in ship mode!
Thanks for all you do for us… love the videos and all the information you share with everyone… 👍🏻…😎
This is likely a scenario where a Stellantis executive had some of his or her compensation based on this product shipping. Come hell or high water they shipped it so that executive could hit a benchmark and check off the box for a bonus or to be eligible for a promotion or salary incentive. The executive couldn’t care less if the product is good or even works. All they care about is numbers on a report showing that units were moved and shipped from the factory to dealers.
I just saw Car Edge’s latest video showing the fastest and slowest selling cars. Number 1 slowest selling car? New Dodge Charger EV.
Great video All you are doing is informing people with what is going on so they don’t get ripped off or make a bad decision they will regret later Or be underwater on what they buy
There are actually people interested in this car?
Nope. It was the governmentWEF telling the mfrs what to make and sell....
Sheesh the first 4:30 was a total waste. What’s with all the rambling?
The cars can't even make it to the holding yard(MotiPark) half mile from the plant.
Local towing companies making a killing!
The 21st century's Edsel. That one almost killed Ford. This one may kill Dodge.
The guy says it broke on the 2nd test drive of a showing at his factory. I think he narrowed their search...
I think the EV will flop terribly, and then in the coming years, when we see the six-pack and hellcat, it'll gain some hype. Even that six-pack can make up to 1000hp on a stock engine.
Dodge is toast. ICE vehicles will only get more and more expensive while being more terrible. The ICE supply chain is declining fast around the world and development changing over to EVs and batteries. This means higher parts costs, higher development costs, poor quality or parts, young engineers not coming into the industry but training for EVs instead, etc etc. even if Dodge can produce V8 vehicles the market is shrinking for this. They will be building cars for a dying market at a high price point just to make any profit whatsoever. It takes profits to keep a company going, not a limited fan base that wants and can afford to even run big Hemis with the high gas prices and insurance.
I put my bose speaker on my rear bumper, diy fratzonic system !! Most ridiculous thing I have ever seen
You wan̈t the car to fail ! I want to see the car for myself. Let me choose. 😮
Terrible, it's the same old bias ev take. Come up with something else, especially since Dodge was the last of the Big 3 to go electric but people were still complaining even then. You can't please everyone, neither should they have to. If you don't like it, cool move aside for the people who do. Simple as that. No... that's too much to ask! Yet you same ev haters always seem to flock to the ev car reviews and videos. It makes me wonder how many of you are actually in the closet?🤔 It's cool though, because for Dodge, all publicity is good publicity.💯
I cant see anyone buying these things
Nobody was clamoring for an EV muscle car absolutely nobody. Nobody wants a plug in Hornet it was a terrible idea. Stellantis is so out of touch with what their customers want.
Whatever cars they do sell will be lemon lawed, no way these things last beyond their warranty. Dodge is cooked
The EV will flop but the TT I6 cars will have a slow but steady uprising as they will exploit what the new Charger was designed to be - a year round functional car for most of North America that the previous cars did not once the snow piled up. AWD, huge interior, useable back seat, big hatch and an easily modded 420hp or 550hp. The 7.0L (426) blower car wont be AWD but will carry the Hellcat legacy and can be your garage queen while the others are useable as they should be, in any weather
Thanks
The first EV muscle car!! The future is here!! 😂😅😂
The new Dodge Charger DOA arrives at dealerships, but can not leave these dealerships unless on the back of a flatbed.
I'm curious to know how the Charger Daytona EV did in the Crash Tests?
Stellantis needs to take back all the money they have paid Carlos for this failure
$99500 for the RT wth Tax n Ontario Canada, $121,122 tax n for Scat pk Daytona
The gasoline versions might be awesome. If the EV version fails, that's not so bad in that case.
Huh. I never knew software was unique to EV's. To think, there's no software on a Hemi, say if something needs to communicate between the engine computer, transmission computer, ABS computer on the same CAN BUS that the infotainment system talks with to the rear parking sensors. So if the CAN BUS goes down, the whole car bricks no matter what propels the car.
Like, there was never a video at Pine Hollow Diagnostics where the Mercedes SUV washer fluid leaked into the tailgate from a broken reservoir, flowed into the roof when the tailgate was up, dripped washer fluid onto a connector at the lower "D" pillar and corroded the contacts on the CANBUS connector to the rear parking sensor that just happened to be on the same CANBUS circuit that the engine needed to talk on with its sensors, thus killing the CANBUS, thus bricking the whole car.
The fault isn't the software writers. Remember the prototypes were running just fine years ago. The problem may have been the late changeout to a 'cheaper' component in an attempt to save costs (hint: a directive from Carlos T). If the component has a software interface on the CANBUS some stupid manager may have thought they could just replace the more expensive part with the newer. Trouble is the software interface to this new component may have been VERY different than its more expensive cousin. In that case any other element on the CANBUS that needed the information from that module would not get it.
Now, when Carlos T fired all the US procurement, engineering, and line workers (Including software engineers) who would know how to fix this problem and instead thought his cheapo software engineers in Brazil and India could solve the problem he never thought of the possibility that, even if the software engineers were any good they'd have no idea of the software nuances of the modules they were dealing with. So, being good engineers, they'd ask their higher ups for the data sheets so they could write the master code to make all this work. Trouble is, the people that got fired in the US weren't around anymore to document what they'd done. So our guys in Brazil and India were left with only guesses on how to make this all work together as a system.
In short, the attempt to find a 'cheaper' component could very well have cost WAY more money in software to make it work, especially if the car doesn't even work at all.
Brad, It ain't the car's motive power source. No one at Dodge may know how to make a car any more, EV, ICE, hybrid, or otherwise.
Tavares did WAY more damage than you thought. It will take years to recover if they even can before they bleed too much cash and go bankrupt.
Ppl are going to buy this car only for TH-cam views and the dealers knows it… I rest my case 🤨
Oh my!
