@@kensurfs long. I’ve got your review of yours on deck lol. I don’t consider myself a collector but it was a must have. $40 shipped from Canada and super clean 💈
@Kensurfs, as always, has a great detailed educational breakdown of wet shaving products. I used a GEM micromatic razor today with a DE blade hack and OMG!!! It was baby smooth. They truly made things better back in the day.
Great shave. I’m trying out a round of new blades right now. I just tried the Lord Super Stainless blades and they were great for me. The Lord Super Chrome is up next. I have more blades afterwards that I’m gonna try out. Have a good one!
I have the blackbird titanium. It is an awesome tool. I would have gotten the blue one but I couldn’t wait. Regrettably the titanium only comes in the short handle.
I wash and clean my face before using pre-shave oil, so thats on a damp face. best is to try both wet/dry method and stick with what you like. greetings from south africa 🖖🏻
Finally caved and bought this. Ow my wallet. Even with a 15 % off code the sticker punched me in the kidney. Oh well Brassbird, both plates, and a stand are coming home to Canada soon.
I have almost all the Blackland Razors except the Tridari. They each shave differently from each other but are all very effective. As to rabbit holes Ken, I told myself a while back that if I buy something I have to sell an item. I’ve managed my addiction very effectively this way and my bank balance has stayed healthy in the process I’m still able to buy new stuff though, great shave as always
Rabbit hole! Say it ain't so. The only Blackland razor I owned was the now discontinued Dart, didn't like it so gave it to my son. Invested in a ton of others though along with brushes from the top artisans as well, "Rabbit hole" Indeed🤨 Enjoy!
Hi Ken, can you please give a shout out to me on one of your near future videos, I have been ill recently and through my recuperation I have watched your videos which have been inspirational. I'll be picking up wet shaving as soon as I'm recovered. Many thanks and respect. Sunny from Coventry, UK.
Believe it or not, my daily go-to razors that I use most often are the Merkur open comb and the Tatara closed bar razor. One expensive and one that is on the cheaper side. It's all about what you like best.
Been with you for the 5 years... always enjoy the themed shaves. Especially the Bond ones! Here's to the next 5 years!!!!
Thank you very much🙏🙏
I enjoy the brassbird vs the stainless blackbird. Great shave Ken!

Great shave as always, Ken. Ever try the Proraso styptic gel for small nicks like that one?

Nice video Ken. I might have a solution for the patina issue. I think it's an oxidation issue. I'll be back.

Almost every type of razor shaves differently, depending on the soap, blade, and pre-shave.
👍👍
Quit buying new razors and stuff I've got everything to last me a decade.
Great intentions!
Hell, I probably do too. While I don’t have a huge stock of DE blades, I do have a large number of Sensor Excel blades.
