I discovered Iron and Wine trough this playlist years ago, and I'm pretty sure something changed since, Sam's music helped me discover a more soft, sensitive, contemplative part of myself and always going to be grateful for that.
Sufjan and Iron & Wine both sure opened my soul up as a young teenager in the 2000s. Same goes for a lot of Saddle Creek Records. Still listen to all of them a lot til this day.
Just had this come up in my recommended and what a fantastic recommendation it was! I'm not a religious person, but still absolutely love even the more religious songs. All so soft, gentle and warm, even in the songs that are more dark and sad. Thank you for putting such a great selection together!

This playlist is perfect to listen to with my newborn, glad I found it, it’s rhe best and softest of Iron and Wine. Only problem is it’s plucking every heart string I have and so I’ve been sobbing the whole way through.
