I adore Rays. Where I live I have the opportunity to go out on boats and study the creatures of the oceans on the east coast of the US. Skates in particular I find to be playful and loving and I wish we had more studies on them. I’ve had such amazing interactions with some skates, almost like puppies.
Really small detail, but I enjoy the way they produced the music around the footage so everything is timed out perfectly. Even better that it sounds nice.
Did anyone else notice the little fish attached to the bottom of the devil ray's body at 1:48? It seems like other sea creatures are also benefiting from the aerobatic skills of the devil ray.
I saw a Spotted Eagle Ray jump out of the water before during a boat ride in Florida. While not the same as these Mobula Rays (which are basically just a smaller species of manta ray, and lack the pretty white patches, and underside spots the giant Mantas have) it was a beautiful sight. It didn't flap it's "wings" like this though, and just kept them folded upwards.
Fantastic video. Congratulations to those who made it. A great masterpiece of image perfection. 👏👏👏👏Thank you for the beauty of this planet that you show us.🙏🌍😍🕉
Never seen this before! Super cool! Loved seeing one devil ray doing a backflip in the air before getting back into the water! The other day, I watched flying fish on TH-cam! Swim underwater and then they fly into the skies! So incredible!
The Manta Ray does it to get rid of barnacles. My wife used to live in Rio de Janeiro and saw it up close many times. The fishermen told her about the reason why they jump out so high and splash, both on their bellies and on their backs.
Really superb. Perfect camera shooting. Naturally beautiful. Wonderful fishes. Happy moments. Children's so much like this type of videos. Thanku uploading. God bless you all team. My heartfully wishes to everyone. Watch everyone this video. Enjoy nature wonders.
How Lovely to see these aquatic "birds" have fun flying out of the water, they don't mind whipping their bellies back into the water, and having pelicans as spectators.
I saw small rays flying out of the water multiple times myself years ago on the water in Mexico near San Jose Del Cabo while fishing. Amazing...and then I saw a ray larger than the 22 foot panga we were in and got a bit scared at first...”We are gonna need a bigger boat” came to mind. LOL
On my planet, the gravity is low enough that ray-like creatures are able to both swim undersea and glide through the air. Sometimes they fly together like birds and it's a beautiful spectacle when they all dive at the same time.
"It seems they too can fly!" At this rate, they probably will. Just give them a couple million years or so to evolve. Trust me, we'll have flying rays in a snap!
CJCroen1393 if you could only hear how stupid you sounded right now. The earth wont last that long and wasnt created by chance there is no way. We would see fully assembled ferraris in nature before we would find a single cell created by coincidence.

Rays are some of my favorite sea creatures. Their jumps are so majestic and they approach human divers with an adorable curiosity.
It felt so good to watch them happy, free and at peace❤

These rays really need to work on their re-entries. That belly flopping technique won't get them anywhere come olympic season.

They're Manta Rays actually. Calling them "stingrays" is like calling a whale shark a "hammerhead."

Oh, so a sea creature jumps in the air and flaps its appendages and body around and its called flying. But i do that, and i have "mental problems".

Me too………
I've swam with them jumping around me in guanacaste costa rica . Always at sunset there. Beautiful experience
at 1:49 there's a fish underneath the ray.
lol, ur right :)
Now i have a theory as to why that manta flew the highest so far, i think the fish was pushing it up before the launch. bahaha
It's a Ramona fish they hitch rides from sharks rays dolphins etc.
Spider Man
Yea i figured that was one of those.

Wow that's beautiful I didn't know Ray actually can fly. Thank you for filming it 💖
You are so welcome
Pelican: "Just flying around, looking for fish. Its just another day."
Rays: Jump out of the water. "SUP"
Beautiful and total coincidence where the lovely Mr. Tennant narrates!!
Maybe they just find it a fun thing to do.
