One thing I use that really helps out in cold water is those black rubber mechanic gloves really helps keep the cold off .......which with my big clubs it takes at least a XX - large even a 3x when I can find them .....

Just figured i might suggest something. You have that suction tube thing, small generator and this weird contraption thing they call “wet and dry vac” is the extremely fast suction dredging! You will just have to drill holes so water can escape!

Hey Jason I’m sure you probably know this but if there’s any birch trees around the dead bark that’s peels off as it grows that stuff starts a campfire like nothing else and also I think in a pinch it could be used as a sluice box with some miners moss if you ever see a mt Tom on a topo map well I guess Tom was an interchangeable word for a trough and of course that could used for several reasons one being mineral prospecting and I think if there wasn’t any saw mills to make boards they would have used tree bark sections
I know how you feel buddy. I'm a union boilermaker an was in Oak Creak Wisconsin for over 2 years building a power plant. One winter we had almost a week of never getting above -30. Coldest I've ever been in my life.
Nice gold, I also use a Dewalt cordless vacuum to clean out crevices. One boring winter day I cleaned out the vacuum hose and found some nice gold that gets caught in the hose ripples, have you tried that yet.
Well Jason I told ya when you did that other video to go back and hit the Culverts as they are a naturel sluice !!!! Now you need to go hit all of them you can find!!!! Even the little ones with a vacuum and a long hose can produce!

I knew those would be good congrats nice size pieces in there. Culverts are great collectors in gold bearing areas some of the best gold I’ve seen is from culverts the lone panner cleaned out wasn’t easy (3 feet of overburden) but the nuggets were very nice. I knew that culvert would have some good gold! I was a little disappointed that the inside one was frozen I'm guessing that one is even better. Once you get a thaw you should do a culvert only video and hit like 10 of them. Now that would be a nice cleanout. Great video as always thanks Jason. Ben

Be careful out there in the woods by yourself ! On those very cold hikes you might consider a small backpack foldable wood burning stove to warm your hands and coffee ☕ . Firebox stove is an example .

I don't think most people realize how cold your hands get. I was fishing green bay same day and thought my hands were going to have frostbite. Tough construction fella there.

How do you do that with bare hands? The rivers are frozen in iowa. My fingers freeze in minutes, and I can't get them warm again. Love watching this channel. Conditions are similar to iowa. Of course, you rock the flour.
