Ex-W/A guy here. Your videos helped me when I got that gig. So happy I did that job - and now flying a Citation XLS+. Great video about resources.

Appreciate your videos Phil, as a 1700TT MEI finding that first big boy job is tough right now. Good to watch these to make sure I’m leaving no stone unturned

Can you take your ATP written? Do you qualify for ATP yet? It might be helpful to get your ATP.

The majors have slowed down so there isn’t much movement but smaller companies are still hiring. Regionals are slowly hitting and might look at companies flying kingairs or multi turbo props to fill the void.

Awesome, thank you Phillip. I’m a 600TT CFI no multi or CFII yet. I feel I’ve got a tough road ahead

@@tajontoms9530 if you plan to fly for any major or regional airlines I’d focus on getting that multi time knocked out.

Thanks for your advice. I'm stuck in my career. And only have been renting planes to get more hours which is counterproductive to possessing a CPL. I'm trying to get into PSA cadet program so that I can fund my CFI/CFII.

Great informative video! I'm LA-based and came across Surf Air. They're now part of Southern Airways Express. I'm curious if that was also the case when you worked at Surf, and what your experience was. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. I'm scared I'll have trouble finding a CFI job once I finish my rating. My training center is pretty topped out on CFIs....

Yup really hard to get a CFI job.I quit my full time job to finish my CFI training hoping to get a job right after but the check ride got canceled and I not only don’t have my CFI ticket but now I’m jobless and even my friends with their CFI and CFI-I can’t find a job. I decided to go work the ramp for delta while I’m waiting to get a date with a DPE. The industry is not in a good shape right now

I''m working on instrument now, long road ahead, and all the training I have planned out through CPL (in 12 months) is through a very small local flight school at the smallest paved runway in PA. Is there any hiring benefit you've seen from training at a bigger flight school like ATP? Like would the carrier rather see that vs backwoods flying? Do they like the structure that's built into those schools or are the hours the hours no matter who you're flying with?

Training at atp is expensive but it’s a very structured accelerated program. You’ll also have more support from the staff as alumni.
