Would you please stop giving this man credit for winning, he was given a rained out race. He sucked all year long even after he pulled out the race card trying to get him some attention. Nascar was born in the South. The flag wasn't being waved in sense of racism. It was waved with love and pride regardless of the history it started from. Our entire country was started in a rough way. The flag wasn't racist. Only angry and racist people made the flag a racist symbol.
The flag represents the Confederate States of America, _not_ the United States of America. It represents treason _and_ a long legacy of the most brutal crimes against a race of people imaginable. Why anyone would want to fly it is beyond even my comprehension, but you still have a right to do so --- on _your_ property!

The noose, I worked construction, learned how to tie that noose, not particularly easy but it is secure. Saw it most days for over a decade.
Confederate flag has never given me a positive feeling. Was threatened by driver in a square body in WVA, and run off the road in Daytona by a Ranger pickup. Both displaying that flag.
