All these mushers are neat people. But that doesn't meant that this dog sled racing BS doesn't need to be illegal. Winning a race doesn't prove jack besides that your willing to hoard a ton of dogs and run the crap out of them. Getting rid of racing doesn't get rid of mushers or sled dogs. It would prevent another whistler massacre though. That sort of thing happens on a small scale all of the time. Its because breeding dogs just to try and win races creates too many surplus dogs. Don't just look at the dogs on the teams(even though they have it really rough too pooping blood and running 3000 miles a year) Look at all the dogs that don't make it to the racing level. For every 16 on the trail there are 30 that didn't make the cut. Probably shipped off to give rides somewhere until they catch a bullet.
Wow! What a awesome woman!! And she seems to have an incredibly strong faith. I would LOVE to spend some time with her. Actually ...... I would love to spend time with all of the amazing people (and places) that I have met through your series! From Texas to Alaska ---- two different worlds!! All these shows are making me want to go to Alaska!
I love the fact that she imagines these various scenarios
Right?!

Why are the dogs chained? This is pure cruelty.
