Helena's life took a turn when her father, Prince Albert, passed away in 1861. This loss deeply affected her, as she had a particularly close bond with him. Following his death, Helena took on a supportive role for her grieving mother, Queen Victoria, who relied on her as an unofficial secretary.
One noteworthy aspect of Helena's life was her flirtation with Carl Ruland, her father's German librarian. This relationship ended when Queen Victoria discovered it, leading to Ruland's dismissal. Eventually, Helena married Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein in 1866. This union caused controversy due to political complexities and strained relations within the royal family.
Despite these challenges, Helena remained active in her royal duties, engaging in numerous charitable activities, including her role in founding the British Red Cross and serving as president of several organizations. Her marriage lasted for over 50 years until her husband's death in 1917, and she outlived him, passing away in 1923. Princess Helena's life was marked by her dedication to her family and her commitment to charitable causes.

From your Video's I have found out of a deeper, darker period of Victoria and her children. Bravo to You Madam, for this insight into the Royal Family.
