Wow. This doesn't happen very often but I'm speechless. That is quite possibly one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. The colors, the bodywork, the wheels, the stance. Steve Holcomb and Hot Rod Joe are geniuses.
I will vouch for you not being speechless..lol..always great comments though...always contributing in a positive way...thank you...I agree...they all nailed it on this one...very nice work all around!!
Yes sir...I'm afraid my little speech impediment is my legacy. LOL I am known around the shop as the morale police or nazi depending on who you ask. The boss calls me in the office on occasion and asks me to cheer someone up. Usually the guys he doesn't get along with. Optimism can be a curse some days! But the way I see it, every day you start above ground is a good day. I have found that when almost anyone having a bad day is confronted with those simple words, their attitude changes. At least for a while. As far as the car goes, yes sir they nailed it. I can usually look at a car and see something I would have done different. You know...tire size or wheel color, chrome bumpers instead of painted, maybe transmission choice. Not on this one. It's perfect. I am not usually a fan of Chevy 2s either. I wish I could shake some hands over this build. It's fresh and packed full of things you don't see on that platform. Damn I see what your saying...this was a long post. Sorry everybody! 8-/
ScottieDTV I appreciate that Scottie. And you got a deal. Have a great week Brother! It's going to be a good one. Never forget... a bad day here is still better than a good day in Afghanistan. I spent a year there so believe me I know. God bless America!
This is my second look at this gorgeous machine and I love it. Blue has always been my favorite color. And the custom body work is outstanding. Just a badass bowtie!!!!!!!!
I am insanely picky on vehicles and i have to say this car is by far one of the best builds I've ever seen!!! The detail is amazing! I dont think there is anything I would change about it (other than turbos instead of supercharged, but for the purpose of the build I understand the choice there) Great work!!
You know Scottie, I was born in 1961 and I grew up thinking the center of the car culture was in Southern California but you have shown time and again, that just isn't true. the craftsmanship, from bodywork and paint to interior work is right there in your backyard. People have said many times on here that you should have your own TV show, and while that may be true, you have the flexibility of complete control over content and production not to mention distribution. After the bloodletting over at Speedvision and the loss of most of our favorite shows, I now see my classic car has just moved onto TH-cam. Keep doing what you're doing because quite frankly, you have the best content out there.
I hear ya Brother....the reasons you gave are the same reasons I give when I get inquires about my interest in TV...My first responsibility is to you...than it's to the Hot Rod culture....than I try to please my self....very hard to do by the way...thanks for the comment Brother!!
Man, I really wish there were more cars like this here in Brazil. I really love Hot Rods and Street Rods, and I want to make my own with a brazilian Chevy Opala. Man, that's a beautiful Chevy II, I really love it!
Thanks for hangin' around for that happy ending Scottie...lol. First thing I thought when I saw it was, it needs some red. Then on a close-up, I see it has some red pin-striping on it, but in the video it doesn't really show up very well. Probably looks great in person. By the way folks, I believe we have been blessed today with a Scottie "double D", well technically yesterday now, but thanks for that.
That is the Baddest Lil Nova Scottie I like the Viper Blue paint it's very glossy lookin. Like how he painted the wipers. The motor is so clean n tucked in nicely. Everything is the same color as the outside cool. Awesome Scottie nice views on this. Steve put orange stripes in the blue interior his work is phenomena.
beautiful car all the way around glad you got video footage of it cause it was packed at the show friday and i could barely get a good pic of it thanks
Wow Scottie Beautiful build. Nice nice nice Gotta Love the Lil Nova. The best car to build I had one few years ago. Find one fix it get the stance right drop a monster motor up in, And have fun.. Thanks Scottie I appreciate your Channel!!!
just got a 64 nova II with an 8cyl 350 in it... needs allot of work all original stuff so looking for awesome ideas, and love this nova, trying to figure out were to get power seats for it.
Nope...Hot Rod Joe....They built a great eight winner last year....black chevy truck....very cool also...stick around you will be one of there fans before it is over...
I was already sold on them after seeing this car, they have another fan out of me that's for sure. Your awesome Scottie, you always reply to my comments and I really appreciate that. Would love for you to have your own show on Velocity or something. I support the ScottieDTV movement, really appreciate you showing us all these great cars. Your passion and hobby is equally enjoyed on my end as well as many other im sure. Thanks brother!!
Woah, I have seen many a Chevy 2s and nova's of every gen and this is amazing as far as body mods go. Beautiful all around but that front and rear end are killer.
I agree...I like these street machine builds...gives a different look for Steve..he can make anything cool...but I love when he gets to go a little out of the box....
For whatever reason, that charcoal color on the bumpers make 'em look like they're from plastic, or carbon fiber. But man, the entire car outta metal plus a gazillion other cool features...that's crazy, these guys worked their ass off :))
Gonna be doing some cool things to my Chevy II for goodguys next year... Would be great to get a video shot of my car from you brother man! Thanks for the video Scottie!
Thanks Scotty. I'm sorry it even had to happen. Good guys like you with youtube channels that are respectful shouldn't have to be burdened by these issues.
Scottie, have you ever considered a small script with bullet points and/or doing a short 'pre'interveiw/walk around. (Not a criticism) My reasoning; cars like this have so many minor details and touches it would help in moving smoothly through most of them, while keeping the video length consistent with your other vid's.
its sharp but am i the only one that thinks that trunk looks a little messed up? the seams of the metal - maybe its because it rises to the spoiler i dunno.. thnx for posting though very cool.
Wow. This doesn't happen very often but I'm speechless. That is quite possibly one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. The colors, the bodywork, the wheels, the stance. Steve Holcomb and Hot Rod Joe are geniuses.

Oh man....the sound of that whine at the end coming out of that final turn was pure heaven.
😄😄😎.....The whine of a supercharger.....Puts a smile on my face every time...
I had one of these when I was a kid. It was so sweet. SS, 327, and silver!
Sounds cool!

I am insanely picky on vehicles and i have to say this car is by far one of the best builds I've ever seen!!! The detail is amazing! I dont think there is anything I would change about it (other than turbos instead of supercharged, but for the purpose of the build I understand the choice there) Great work!!
Glad you enjoyed it...I would do turbos to!

Thanks for hangin' around for that happy ending Scottie...lol. First thing I thought when I saw it was, it needs some red. Scottie, have you ever considered a small script with bullet points and/or doing a short 'pre'interveiw/walk around.
