ฟ้อนแพรวากาฬสินธุ์เป็นผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลป์ ปีพุทธศักราช 2534 เนื่องในวโรกาสที่สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิต พระบรมราชินีนาถ มีพระชนม์มายุครบ 60 พรรษา ทางวิทยาลัยจึงยากจะเทิดประเกียรติพระองค์ท่านนะครับ โดยนำออกแสดงครั้งแรกในงานมหกรรมดนตรีและนาฏศิลป์ 4 ภาค ณ โรงละครแห่งชาติ โดยการใช้เครื่องแต่งกาย ใช้ผ้าแพรวามาห่มร่างการประกอบท่าฟ้อนอีสานครับ
Forn Phraewa Kalasin is the creative achievement of the Thai Dance College. It was created in 1991 to commemorate the 60th year of Queen Sirikit. The College wanted to honour her through this inaugural performance of music and dance from the 4 regions at the National Theatre. The costumes are made out of phraewa silk in order to complement the Isan style of actions.

แต่ผมสงสัย(แบบผู้ไม่รู้)ว่าเหตุใดจึงไม่มีการต่อเชิงผ้าซิ่น?

เพราะคนฟ้อนเป็นคนโสดคับชาวอิสานจะมีตีนซิ่นก็ต่อเมื่อเเต่งงานเเล้วเท่านั้น
