  • Joyce Meyer joins the podcast today and Sadie couldn't be more excited to welcome the bestselling author and speaker to the show! Sadie recently read one of Joyce's bestselling books, "Battlefield of the Mind," and Joyce reiterates for us all that our minds ARE a battlefield, the place where the Enemy will fight us most! She calls us to renew our minds as we meditate on God's Word and what is true. Plus, Joyce and Sadie have great advice for anyone struggling to determine God's will for their life. And after 56 years of marriage, Joyce has a fundamental truth to share about having a spouse and loving them well.

      What do you mean by that?! That sound’s like the chant’s of the crowd that stoned Stephen to death, tried to stone Paul to death (Jesus saved his life through the apostles laying hand’s on him), & ultimately the “religious” leader’s in the San Hedron (sp?) that stirred the crowd up to crucify the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth on the cross to die for us!! Be careful bc the tongue is a double edged sword ⚔️!! I’m praying for you to delete that comment!! 💞🙏🏼☝🏼✝️🩸

      🙌🏾🙌🏾 praise God for that. I really don’t understand where these none sense information comes from. Since when did the devil like the idea of people being saved, and serving God (his enemy), because that is what we are doing since we’ve been listening to Joyce. People are getting born again and going to heaven. Some are serving God greatly here on earth. Doesn’t the bible say we will know a tree by the fruit it bears??? What evil work are doing since following Joyce?
      We’ve done nothing of the sort. Instead we are seeking God more and more.
      Some people don’t know when they’re being influenced by the enemy in what they’re doing or saying.

    Joyce has helped me so much in my journey with Christ, God has a plan for all of us and that includes Joyce. She is being used as a vessel to bring more people to Jesus x Thank you Jesus xx

    I want to say that I am a man and I don’t say that because I’m sexist or anything but I just want to let people know the fact that Joyce has a calling on her and that it reaches past all the drama and negativity that people put out there and surpasses gender, age , social status or anything. Her sermons have been a huge influence on my walk with God. I don’t care what anyone says about her being a prosperity preacher or anything. It just amazes me that we live in a world where people will spend tons of money on things like their favorite artist, concerts, music streams, idolizing sports teams and players and dumping so much money on these worldly things and people, actors, favorite content creators or celebrities. If you tell someone you tith, or donate money to charity or your church or favorite preacher or whoever you get the word from or whatever the spirit leads you to help financially, then people will say that you’re crazy for doing something good, why you helping these prosperity preachers and giving money to make these preachers rich. I don’t understand why people think being in ministry or a preacher means that you should be broke or live life like a broke person. What??? Not me, I don’t understand also how these people think that you are supposed to help people or do certain things in ministry without needing money to help them do it? I don’t understand why people hate on the ones who are actually helping people

    • @user-nr7pd7cf7m
      @user-nr7pd7cf7m 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Wise words shared .... Prosperity preachers, like Joel Olsteen for example, preach God's word in milk form giving the people what they want to draw them in. It serves purpose for young Christians who would run from the solid food in Gods' word. He brings people to God so he does his part being a Prosperity preacher
      Joyce Myers is not a Prosperity preacher. She shares Gods' word in sold food form causing people to feel convicted so they blame her for the negativity. She helps people become Spiritually mature.

    I love Joyce Meyer so much and I'm so glad she doesn’t have to defend herself against all the negative comments or criticisms because God fights for her and defends her.
    God has used her books and programmes to give me breakthroughs in so many areas of my life- Her book "Do It Afraid" helped me overcome certain phobias and fears, "Unshakeable Trust" when I was trusting God for a child and I knew I could just trust in God and wait for His time and enjoy my life while waiting (God has now answered that prayer). "Battlefield of the Mind" helped me to overcome a trauma that I went through for years.
    Through her TV programmes, I've learned practical ways to forgive people that have hurt me by praying for them, not talking negatively about them and helping them if they need help. Every time I listen to her programme, the Holy Spirit speaks to me.
    God has used her to help me become a better Christian. So I love Joyce and thank you Sadie for inviting her.

    The only thing I disagree with Joyce is when she said at 44:30 "follow your heart listen to your heart" but the bible says the heart is deceitful. We are to follow and be like Jesus!
    Also, to add, I don't think that's exactly what she meant. I think she seemed really nervous for this interview (at least that's what I seen at the beginning) so she may have just stumbled her words and meant let God lead your heart. I think Joyce Meyer has alot of experiential wisdom, she is 80 after all and throughout the video she gave alot of good, sound and wise advice to Sadie. So don't throw out the baby with the bath water. Not everyone has it 100% perfectly all figured out. We all need Jesus and we all need to be more merciful towards each other. Choose for good to triumph over evil!

    • @kennedyvince9272
      @kennedyvince9272 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly. If I were to have followed my heart, i would have held onto a person that I let my heart become attached to, and it would have absolutely destroyed my life. My heart wanted that person’s love. But what I KNEW was that the relationship went against God’s word, which is supreme. Most of the time when we are hurting, it’s because our minds know God’s TRUTH, but our heart isn’t letting go of our self will and our selfish desires.. when we reject God’s kingdom for our lives and follow our heart, God’s wrath is revealed to us, even as Christians. We don’t lose our salvation, but we suffer greatly in other ways.

      The OP is onto the right conclusion on those words of follow your heart…they were speaking on ministry. She means follow the heart of God. I have followed her for many many years. Read lots of her books and am currently re reading Battlefield. I’m not a new Christian. She and Sadie go on to talk about the renewal of your MIND through the Word, that feelings can be fickle. You don’t follow those either. She made that clear.
      When we are saved there is an exchange. God gives us a heart of flesh in exchange for our heart of stone. So we have the heart of God in us…we have His DNA and through the Holy Spirit that speaks to us we are guided.
      I hope that makes it clear. We are made up of mind, will, body, emotions and spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that dwells in our temple(our body). Everything changes (ideally) as we continue to read the Word, pray, learn. Our desires and our thoughts. We want what God wants and that means we have, or are in the process,of charging. Wanting God’s will and not OUR will.
      This is what she is referring to.
      I would gently yet firmly suggest to read her books, at any stage…new Christian or someone like myself that is further on the journey. Esp Battlefield of the mind. She explains, with scripture, how we are deceived. I too was abused and it helped me a lot to understand the battlefield from the enemy.
      We should never be too old to learn. We will not reach perfection this side of heaven.
      Thank you Sadie for having Joyce on today. She has helped me so much over the years. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I really needed it also.
      God bless everyone.

    This is so good recently i graduated college and had all these expectations of life after college. Resulting in me complaining, doubting God, and experiencing a distance between me and God. When I realized the career job i wanted and just small ideas didnt happen. Still living for God but there wasnt that love, desire or fervantness. Letting the dwelling on the world around me get in the way of dwelling in God with God and the things of God I recently got some awesome correction from the Lord and started focusing on the names of God and reading Romans actually taking my reading outside of my apartment I just have been taking it slow realizing these were my expectations and not where God was & is guiding me. Its been peaceful and joyful letting go, being still and knowing. God is who he says he is and I must believe that and continue to seek him ❤

    If you’re a Christian reading this, I’m not going to tell you one way or another - but PLEASE just use discernment before listening to Joyce Meyer (or anyone for that matter). Pray for the Lord to give you wisdom and guidance when listening to anyone. Hold EVERYTHING they say up to scripture and if you have a nudge that something isn’t right, listen to that nudge, study, and pray about it 🤍

    I have been a Christian since 2017 and I am nobody to say that Joyce Meyer is a false teacher. But I strongly agree that these preachers are definitely preaching more about prosperity than sin. People DESPERATELY NEED to hear the REAL Gospel! They need to hear about SIN! And what God thinks of it 😢 People are so focused on what God can do for us but we also need to read the Scriptures and see what God is asking from us. I say this with lots of love for all my brothers and sisters in Christ ♥️

      Please hear more of her sermons. She talks about sin very bluntly. She is not playing games. Maybe people forget to even consider that not forgiving someone is a sin. She talks alot about forgiveness. Just an example. Blessings🤍

      Hey sis! I’ve been serving in ministry for 10 years. It’s a tough place to be because it’s a contstant servants heart where conviction and correction is a thing. Joyce is an incredible speaker. Her books tackle more about refraining from sin. I’ve read 2 of them. Sermons are just snippets but continue to pray for those that you believe are “false” than to openly mention. Your prayer towards a leader can be much more effective for the congregation than your commentary. 🙂🙏🏼 keep preserving in the walk of faith sis! ❤️

      Did you know Joyce Meyers was sexually abused by her dad and she later, not only forgave him, but helped to convert him to Christianity before his death? Is that not the very definition of the gospel?
      She is no where near perfect, but neither am. But not everything she says needs to be thrown out because of those imperfections. 🤷🏻‍♀️
