SPOILER ALERT!!!! Actually this was edited differently from the full episode. She didn't give that look after the dad hugged the son, she actually gave it before because after the dad apologized for not being there to help out all the time, the son didn't look pleased and the mom knew what had to be done. So that face was her contemplating on whether or not she should bring up the dads drinking problem. But I can understand why you thought it was her being disgusted by the sons choice to speak up. That's what I thought at first until I watched the full episode rather than just this clip.

@@sunglsses3367 I did some quick calculations in my head to find out the current age of the Costello kids as of late and here are my results: Logan is twenty-six, Carley is twenty-five, Chaslyn is twenty-three, Joelle is twenty-two, Corban is twenty, Addison is eighteen, Nolan is sixteen, Bryson is fourteen, Cameron is thirteen, and Keaton is eleven. Hopefully; Logan, Carley, Chaslyn, Joelle, and Corban have been able to successfully build their own lives and put distance between themselves and their messed up parents.
The dad’s actually taking responsibility and feels remorse meanwhile the mom’s standing there acting like it’s the end of the world because his son won’t take care of the kids.

My dad was one of 10, and his siblings called him Father Matt, since he was usually in charge.

I definately don't agree with what these parents loaded on to their oldest child. But...I have to say that even with 2 children the cost of childcare is exorbitant. I can see the oldest taking care of their younger sibling when their parents have to work, especially if there are no other options. That being said, continuing to have so many children *knowing* that you can't afford the care they require is just plain irresponsible.

I do wonder how the kids behave without cameras around. Kids tend to be worse with new people and cameras to perform for. Not to say the oldest should have to take care of them but if it is normal for him to do so I bet they are more respectful than shown in this clip.

How do kids get like this? It’s not that he has to take care of 6 kids, but he’s left handling misbehaved kids that the parents failed to discipline.

It was amazing how the father manned up and not only apologized, but voiced his own personal empathy. When he cried at the idea of having hurt his son in the way he’d been hurt, that was incredible. I’m so glad that Jo was able to intervene and bring together father and son in this way.

My biggest question is why ANYONE would think that they can have 10 children and then be able to raise them properly. It's simply not possible to give each child the attention they deserve.

I’m 18, I have 11 siblings that are younger, my parents still expect me to watch them. I’ve had 37 panic attacks in 2 MONTHS, my parents also make me pay for anything I need to take care of my siblings while I also pay for my apartment every month

Yep, I stopped watching for that reason. After seeing how important it was to the parents to have more and more kids and then seeing clips of the older girls taking care of everything from the kids to the house, I was just disgusted.

as the oldest of 11 kids who grew up being "the other mom" for my entire life.. I totally understand what this kid is dealing with.
unfortunately there was no one to step in and help me. Add to this we were homeschooled in the middle of no where with no neighbors, no friends and no way to ask for help.
I hope he's able to keep the help he's getting, but that look from his mom.. I'm betting he's gonna be in massive amounts of trouble for making her look bad..
