Edit:Things he accomplished during his presidency were appreciated by people from all sides of politics, he was among the most popular political figures in the world before the unfortunate Watergate plot by the establishment to screw him up.
He was a complicated man. One of the great figures of that era, especially in foreign affairs. Always competent, at times bordering on genius, deeply neurotic and thoroughly corrupt.

I really liked Nixon and what he did. Sad all the people know him for is water gate and futurama. Hes really underrated he did a lot of good. I hope people look at him again and see him for the good he did just like what happened with Grant over the past few years.
I mean, he really got what he deserved. Not only he tried to cover up all the Watergate scandal, but he also made "tricky dicks" like the Cannuck Letter with Ed Muskie or for another example, when George Wallace whas shot Nixon sent his team to enter the apartment of the shooter and put McGovern campaign posters for the sake of ruining more the democrats. Luckily, the FBI had already got there when the thugs arrived. Also, for God's sake, he sabotaged Vietnam peace talks so that Hubert Humphrey didn't get momentum in the election. I wish 1960 Richard Nixon was elected instead of 1968 Richard Nixon. While he was still young and vibrant instead of cynical and jaded and scandalous. In all likelihood he’d defeat LBJ in 64 and we don’t have to deal with that bloated blowhard. Then it’s likely Cabot Lodge vs John Connally in 1968. I mean, he really got what he deserved. Not only he tried to cover up all the Watergate scandal, but he also made "tricky dicks" like the Cannuck Letter with Ed Muskie or for another example, when George Wallace whas shot Nixon sent his team to enter the apartment of the shooter and put McGovern campaign posters for the sake of ruining more the democrats. Luckily, the FBI had already got there when the thugs arrived.
Also, for God's sake, he sabotaged Vietnam peace talks so that Hubert Humphrey didn't get momentum in the election. If not for that, maybe Vietnam could've finished earlier and with better results for the USA. Not only that, but the bombing of Laos and Cambodia (who were bombed during Nixon's presidency) could have been avoided, and Pol Pot may not had become the dictador of Cambodia.

I wish 1960 Richard Nixon was elected instead of 1968 Richard Nixon. While he was still young and vibrant instead of cynical and jaded and scandalous. In all likelihood he’d defeat LBJ in 64 and we don’t have to deal with that bloated blowhard. Then it’s likely Cabot Lodge vs John Connally in 1968. In that universe I think the sort of moderate economic consensus of the 50s and early 60s between both parties is maintained with differences on social policy. Which I’d be fine with.
I don’t know I just like the idea of Nixon being the ideal President a lot more than Kennedy, considering Nixon’s upbringing and his reputation in the 50s and early 60s as a fighter who rose up the ranks and personified the American Dream rather than somebody born into a famous and incredibly wealthy family using his name and money to get into politics to begin with.
