I can't help but note how "making a deal with the Devil" tends to be a metaphor for signing on to labels that will strongarm you. Same with "selling your soul." Most of this is easily just either common phrases that sound cool and/or shock factor imagery. Satanic Panic still exists among tons of people, and it's easy to manipulate them in that way in an attention economy. As a Christian I hope their souls are safe, but not for having dark imagery in videos that are supposed to surprise people; I pray for them more due to how the celebrity lifestyle can chew people up and spit them out if one's not careful.
I agree. I think its all just a saying for the horrible industry for some clout and fame. “Sacrifices” may be real but honestly I think it’s just what comes with the job: jealousy
People often say 'selling your soul' to mean compromising your morals for personal gain. It sounds more dramatic and memorable than just saying 'selling your morals.'.... or at least that's the conclusion I came to
I remember when I was a kid and didn't realize it was a metaphor so it terrified me to hear people say that. I was mad at the Christian adults around me for not making it clear. But now that I'm even older I'm starting to think most Christian adults don't actually get that it's metaphorical lol so I'm not too mad anymore😅
I think “selling your soul”
Is a metaphor for having sex with executives 😅
It's not that it still exists, it fully disappears and then comes back and it's fascinating
Honestly the devil worshipping seems like marketing to bring attention to mediocre artistry. God shouldn't be played with for attention or dollars.
He's not real. It's a figment of people's imagination that originated in olden times as a substitute for therapy. Cultures all over the world decided they would have their own god and gave it different names but the fact is praying is literally talking to yourself and you don't need religion to teach kids morals and values. All your god brought is war, divisiness and hatred because some people think for instance that the bible is the way every person should live when the truthis that every person is born different
Yeah everyone doesn’t believe in the Christian interpretation of religion and/or believe in god.
@@dinkyboss If you doubt or reject the Christian view, please look into the historicity, Look into the belief of the early church, Historically speaking Jesus Did really live and really die on a cross, proclaiming these things ( See Josephus a non Christian Roman Historian) and I believe historically it is provable that Jesus rose again on the 3rd day, I believe this since there are multiple eyewitness accounts of Jesus before his death, Jesus really prophesied to be Christ and God, Historically speaking there are thousands of people who have seen Jesuses miracles, even the talmud (which opposes Jesus) approves his miracles {while also putting down that he is the Christ, which shows even more validity since they are directly opposing Christ}. And after his resurrection he appeared to over 500 people, and his apostles 100% saw and believed in him, we know this since they were all persecuted and many put to death for this. Would you willingly die for something you know to be a lie? {Furthermore for the muslims, this historical evidence directly contradicts the Quran which claims the apostles were muslims, and that the bible was corrupted since 1rst century people who were directly converted by the apostles show further affirm Jesuses divinity ( see polycarp who was converted by the apostle John and who was born in 69 AD. The Quran was also written about 600 years later by a man who became a conqueror and gained much to benefit, while Christ lived humbly on earth ( God humbled himself for our sake!, The almighty) { which is a reason why we shouldnt reject Christ} Also we know that the apostles who professed Christ were killed and persecuted, as said before, and alot of them were working and poor, with little economic benefit) for the Jews, the old testament is Cross fufilled ( to a conservative number) at least 300 times by Jesus who is the Christ and the messiah.
At the end of the day you will believe what you want to believe, i will not, nor can I force you to believe something, please look into the bible and evidence of the bible, it exists.
If you believe, please be saved Romans 10:9-10 ESV
"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
Look more into the bible please, and dont just look into it once and be done, maintain a relationship and serve God, I'm not perfect on this at all. But the faith is that we can fall and get up, and have a relationship with the most high, not by our works, but by Gods work.
god doesn't exist so I say play with him however you want. It is goofy though.
@@olivercharles2930 Scientifically, you cannot prove God doesn't exist. In quantum physics there has been an observer discovered, which can be argued to be God. Historically Jesus really lived, had a ministry and claimed to be God , and was really Crucified. Historically he rose again, since after his resurrection he appeared to over 500 people, with the gospels showing a lot of details which wouldn't usually be shown with mass hallucinations , His followers really believed this, since they really preached this and were hunted by the government and a lot of them were tortured and killed, but none of the 12 apostles turned on the other or claimed to be lying which would be kinda weird if they made the whole thing up.

I think they just using that kinda imagery to ruffle christians feathers nd drive their engagement up
it's that and metaphor, i can't take how he's acting like this is some serious crisis in hip hop. He clearly doesn't understand the metaphors being used; like LNX. That whole track (Montero) was about the persecution he faced as a black gay man; and how people who are christian telling him he will go to hell for being gay. So he's like fine, i'll go to hell and take over.
I think it varies. LNX is just going for shock value while also having a point he's trying to make. Eminem is saying he "sold his soul" as a way of talking about a horrible decision he made. But someone like XXXTentacion was legit on some demon time shit and if you look into his personal life this becomes clear.
EXACTLY
But why what’s the point why specifically them ? And it’s always been an ongoing thing it’s not like any of this is new, the world obviously has a problem with Christianity and the belief of Jesus being the Son of God it’s strange and pretty much obvious as all hell now
call it imagery but life and death is in the power of the tongue. even if uzi genuinely doesn't believe in what he's doing. he's aware of why he's doing it.
This is a great video. Personally, I think it’s incredibly obvious that artists do stuff like this for the shock factor and engagement and think people that freak out about people “selling their soul” are very corny. But to each their own!

😂😂😂In 2006, I was introduced to hiphop by my older brother. I was 6 & I instantly learned how to write songs, hooks and make melodies.Overrall, It took me around 6 more years to fall in and out of love with HipHop, as an entertainment/entrepreneurial outlet. At age 12-13, I got introduced to J.Cole & Kendrick Lamar: What a breath of fresh air. It felt “right”, so I transitioned from writing braggadocios & degrading lyrics to writing about my own personal experiences and those of the world around me. 10 years later, I haven’t gone a whole month without writing two or three songs, but with how everything is nowadays, I have made peace with the fact that I may never be well-known and that my skills will never get me any monetary value, and to be honest, thats fine. As long as I can keep my good spirit, structured life, untattoed body and unscrutinised life.

People forget that pur actions speak louder than our words, if you consistently show people these things they will start to believe that thats the side you're on, Jesus will return and it wont be no tip toeing or playin both sides goin on. We all gotta choose before its too late 💯
The lil uzi vert dancing part 🤣
Can’t sell your soul to someone that don’t exist.
If God exist the devil most definitely do
@@TT-tx7nh You must be naive if you think we believe in god lol
Neither exist, and if they do, I am still waiting for proof.
@@olivercharles2930prove that John, a homeless man in 1950 who lived in New York existed
@@kozzuii There is a world of difference between a random man with a common name in a place people have been living for a few centuries and an all-knowing omnipotent deity who created everything.
@@olivercharles2930 yet you can't prove without a shadow of a doubt with physical proof he existed so he must've not existed then eh
Tyler is one of the only artists I know who have stepped away from all that satanic shit and kept growing in popularity. I know OFWGKTA was huge in popularity but I’m talking about solo careers.
And they were like 16-20 back then, not pushing 30
@@mezmerize679 that’s the sad part too, at least Tyler, Earl and the rest of OFWGKTA were young and immature. And it was also around a time when edgy humor was accepted by many, now if they did what they did they would have a whole mob of people against what they have said on those mixtapes
Always put god first !!! No matter the situation you in, god can and will help you if you have faith in him !!
Think it's worth mentioning this has been an element in music for a long, long time. Earliest I can think of was a blues artist called Robert Johnson who was active in the 1930s - the was a rumor that he sold his soul to the devil so he could be the best guitar player - even making references to it on tracks like 'crossroad' and 'me and the devil blues'. This stuff has been around a long time man
Is hip hop getting "extremely demonic" or do artists always do mildly edgy stuff like this so they get free publicity from idiots talking about it
Crazy thing is some of these artists could turn to God TODAY and they could probably get more fans if they weren't so deep in
God will just take everything away from them so that he can be the center of attention to them.
yall forgot the leaked X phonecall asking for instructions too summon a literal demon when he was in jail and he lived in Bruno Dckems house when he was a kid, lmfao
Dickems is a legend
my neighbor as a kid was a Free Mason and he didn't seen sketchy at all, seems a bit peaceful, but what can I say man.
As a rapper who is strongly involved in hip hop AND a christian, I feel sad for the hip hop community
I've told my peers about freemasonry and nobody believed me. Anyway... let me watch the video in peace
Freemasonry is different to devil worshipping
@@Victor-qj7os did you even watch the whole video ?
@@Tadiztouch yes and it didn't talk bout it. It just showed 1 image

@@thetentmedia665 gonna include u in a prayer too brother, things gonna get better trust
@@yuhmijjy okay, you do that while I pray to Satan for you
Making a video about Satanism in the hip-hop community and not mentioning Three 6 Mafia even once is wild
I f****** hate why rappers are turning satanic. It's stupid 😢
X obviously did not sell the soul to the devil
His song(I spoke to the devil in Miami) is about how one time him and ski mask was on acid and while they was on acid X claimed that he had saw a dark entity, he had a bad trip ski mask explained this before in the past
X also explained about the whole
*sacrificing ski mask* situation during his last interview with DJ Akademiks he explained how ski mask was lying and how he confronting ski mask for lying about that
His song (before I close my eyes) has nothing to do with him, trying to get his soul back. The song is simply about, hoping that he goes to heaven after all the mistakes he made in his life(X had a very long criminal history) and how he hopes GOD keeps his soul instead of sending him to hell. The song is basically about him repenting and asking for forgiveness for all the sins he committed in the past
X has specifically stated before that he believes in GOD however, he never aligned himself with any religion and thought religion itself was nonsense
I think religious practices are evil and Im a Christian, it confuses people but religion is a corrupt thing of culture and Christianity is simply a relationship with God and believing that His Son died on a cross and was risen from the dead, you aren't required to go to some pagan rock in mecca or pray 5 times a day to be a Christian.
