Great review Bobby! I took delivery of my 2008 GT last December with the same 130 puretech engine with an eight speed, it has been living up to my expectations. As a point of reference, I just got out from a XC40 T5 with polestar optimisation (thx to your glowing review). The 2008 is actually very quiet when going slowly, but the 3 pot growls when you give it the beans, as opposed to a muffled vacuum cleaner sounding engine in the Volvo. The 3 pot vibration takes some getting used to thou... It's rough when the engine is cold. The car rides well and corners relatively flat, the trade off is the ride is on the hard side but it's still compliant. The interior feels genuinely special regardless of price point. The material is good at all the touch points, the rest is so so that reflects the price.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia Because I moved from Australia to Singapore, need I say more. Trying to find a car I actually wanted at an 'entry' price was super hard. With the pandemic, at least the depreciation of the Volvo was less than 10% over 2 years which was a pleasant surprise.
This SUV is really drive my wife crazy. She keep telling me that she wants this for her birthday present. I took out my cheque book & wrote the amount rm126,753 on it right away. She walked away with smiling face & stop nagging from that moment onwards. If she's happy why not?
Should try open and close the vanity mirror of the sun visor. Quite a number of owners complained that it breaks easily. This is new low quality record for modern car.
Driven both civic and new 2008 penang-kl. both are great in terms of comfort, drive, handling etc. but 2008 wins the interior. Spending hours in this 2008 feels premium and fun, compared to civic. The small steering feels great. Now it has been 5 months owning 2008
I collected my new Peugeot 2008 last Sunday, guess what? There were lots of paint defects on it & they just resprayed some of the serious defect to cover it up. What furious me was the rear trunk was not properly installed which caused imbalance to the edge when closing up. For almost rm127k you get this kind of quality? No QC check before the car handing over to customer? This is my worst purchase experience among all the car I bought before. Even local car makers are much more better than Peugeot which much more lower selling price. If I didn't sent my car for coating right after I collected my car, I wouldn't know all this & Peugeot intend to deceive me that the new car was in good condition. So guys, if you intend to buy Peugeot car better think twice or perhaps you can go for other car makers. Don't be victimized like me & you'll regret for all the trouble you get. Wasting money & wasting time for nothing!!!

Currently using 208/year 2014...so far no issue at all..km already clocked 130k...next will trade and buy 2008 definitely
