@@uvindukulathunga3860 he doesn’t feel anything for John throughout the show. When Lamar dies, they never offer their condolences to John, who lost his best friend. They don’t even care that Lamar is dead, because all they care about is taking the shield from Walker. And given that Sam was a counselor for soldiers coming out of war and losing friends, it makes no sense that he doesn’t try to actually talk to John first and possibly avoid fighting.
And this is after Bucky and Sam walk in the room, the first thing that John says to them is “You guys should see a medic, you don’t look so good” to show he’s worried about them before himself after having a breakdown and grieving his best friends death. Sam is a heartless bitch in the show when it comes to others

1:25 the fact that Ayo immediately went for Bucky’s arm the second he grab her spear meant that she is not playing around whatsoever.
She knew how much of a threat Bucky is if he wanted to fight. He wasnt fighting though.

Yup, gotta love how 2 supposed to be heroes just watch as those crazy authoritarian ladies were going for the kill with each attack against a normal person with no super serun or anything and that more than once scaped death by the skin of his teeth in that fight. Such heroes, much wow, nice job Marvel on butchering 2 characters just because they wanted to vilanize walker as much as they could and it just splashed on the supposed heroes of the show.

@@donjames5761 So much was botched on this show, they literally had Wakanda warriors spitting on the concept that their former king was very vocal about.
T´Chaka was very vocal on his support of the Socovia accords, which pretty much demmanded that each country put a leash on their vigilantes to respect the jurisdiction of the other countries and then his own warriors go and say "hey, i have jurisdiction wherever I step".
Not to mention they right off the bat tossed a spear which, had Walker not dodged, would kill him. Immagine the shitshow if it leaked that Wakanda warriors killed none other than Captain America on this bullshitery, hell, immagine the shitshow if it leaks that their interference allowed Zemo to flee while they were beating down the man that went there to arrest him and the men that had him in custody, all of that on foreign soil claiming to be in their jurisdiction to do so, and that happened because both them and Cap wanted to arrest Zemo and had a scuffle over who would have the right to bring his ass to jail.
Now immagine how much worse it would get if it leaked that both Sam and Bucky just sat back and watched it all happen while giggling and bantering while allowing Zemo to scape.
The only intelligent person on this scene was Zemo, because the ones that should be on the good side were either dumb as a rock, villanous or authoritarian or a combo of the 3.

Zemo is very smart and patient. He waited doing nothing until everyone gets into fight. He checked Bucky into fight and as soon as Falcon got involved he escaped. This guy shows what the real technique is

He thinks he can tango with Wakandan soldiers who are there to collect the murderer of their king. And walker had more respect and power than Sam & Bucky who have fought in the two battles after and before the Blip which saved half of the damn universe.
Every single character in this show was acting like a piece of shit towards Walker for basically no reason at all and almost from the get go.

Okoye at least tried to be nice. And she had a soft side, she messed with T'Challa, she was more a very aggressive mom than anything else (also trained with scary technique). But Ayo isn't like that. She's 100% military, and she never really smiles, she communicates emotions through action. She's a different kind of general.

It would be a cool fight but thematically and story-wise there is no reason for Dora Milaje and Valkyries to fight. This fight was a reversal of a the constantly used trope of the US fighting whatever third world country any movie or show or game wants then chanting USA USA while beating black, brown or poor Eastern European people, the scene goes with the anti-imperialism theme of the show(showing a reversed version of European/American imperialism here).

I like how nobody is talking about how the Dora were about to straight up murder America's new Captain Mascot and his partner... i mean shit if they had they'd have just started a war with not only America, but possibly the Thunderbolts that are still being formed right about now.
Considering Wakanda was about to wage war against much of the rest of the world (along with rebels of course) under Kill monger's leadership, I doubt they'd be worried about a war with the US alone.

Unpopular opinion. I don't think they were trying to kill anyone. Just disarm/ punish. There were about three or 4 occasions where they could have pierced skin and they pulled their weapon back or paused.

That’s evidenced by the fact he couldn’t even defend himself when the fight started. Before Bucky stepped in to save him, he was about to get skewered.

Capping off this mountain of asshole behavior by the Dora, we have the fact they wanted the same thing as Walker: Zemo back in jail. Ffs, they send him to the Raft, an American run prison.

So if any of those spear throws had succeeded in killing walker or Lamar the headline around the world the next day would be "American special ops murdered by wakanda's dora milaje while avengers bucky and Sam watched". Now america has a imperialist history and I'm sure some people would think america deserves this, but this would definitely cause an international crisis and cast a negative light on the avengers (bucky and Sam). Wakandans at the Hague (international court of justice) are actually going to have to argue that they killed walker/lamar because they were touched on the shoulder lmao.
Pretty sure SHIELD (and just the ID government in general) being the shady agency it is would stay quiet about Sam and Bucky not intervening. Not to say there wouldn't be consequences though.

The parallels between John seeing Bucky and Falcon in danger compared to Bucky and Falcon seeing John in danger really helped me realize that the "Protagonists" of the show were absolute as*holes, which the character they attempted to portray as an unhinged side villain was actually closest to being the protagonist of the show.
Those were kill shots they were throwing at John, John was lucky to have enough reflexes to defend himself where it mattered, if he hasn't had those reflexes he would have died there, and all Bucky could do was mock him, meanwhile in the earlier truck scene John springs in to action as a human against super soldiers and prioritizes helping/saving Buck and Falcon.
People that cheer for Buck and Falcon while insulting John in this show honestly makes me wonder if they come to their own conclusions on morality or just get steered by a script in to believing what they're told to be moral.

If you’re talking about Walker, dude tried to make peace with some psycho Wakandans who tried to murder him before he’d said a word to them or antagonized them in any way. Might not have read the room well, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to say he did anything to deserve this. Also, the Dora Milajae’s plot armor is thicker than battleship plate in this scene. They shouldn’t be able to throw Walker around like a rag doll unless there was something explaining they’d finally been given the black Panther berry juice. (Which is still a really stupid plot device, by the way.)

(i assume you're talking about the beginning of the series), sam was open to a relationship up until that. Later on he tried again to work with them and while bucky wanted none of that sam was always the middle ground to which john should've listened from the beginning, he even went as far to tell bucky and sam to stay out of his way, because they didn't want to do things his way. Now for the dora, yes they were over aggressive and I'm not defending them, but you don't get closer to someone when they clearly want to punch you in the face even if you want to de-escalate, he should've try to talk them down while creating some space to act, maybe get closer to battlestar just in case a fight would break down. He was over confident in his abilities of peacemaker and payed the price. Did he deserve it? no. He could've done better? Yes. Would it end differently? Probably not.
I'm not hating on John, i loved his character arc in the series, it's just that he could've handled things better at times, but if he did he would be captain america instead of us agent i guess.

The Dora Milaje are villains here, one immediately tries to kill Cap with a spear to the face which only failed cause he was quick. He shows the patience of a saint by not quick drawing and gunning them down. He tries to reason with them only for the infamous "Dora Milaje have jurisdiction wherever the Dora Milaje find themselves to be" which is basically saying 'we can do whatever the hell we want' to which Cap again tries to defuse the situation by saying they got off on the wrong foot. He uses a common gesture in his culture of putting a hand on her shoulder. She should know what this means as someone who's spent time travelling and her response is to brutally attack him.
Given that he hasn't taken the serum (yet) the attack could have easily crippled him or worse. This is the kind of foreign policy I'd expect from them if Killmonger was calling the shots but he's not it's still T'Challa, as far as we know and if he found out that they just tried to murder Captain America for no good reason he'd be furious. I wanna see the scene where he calls them up and they have to explain this.
Exacerbating matters they dive in and repeatedly go for killing blows on Cap which he narrowly blocks. One stab, in particular, would have ended him were it not for the intervention of Bucky. She is so furious at not being allowed to murder Cap so she disables Bucky's arm and insults him. Hell, the others would have killed Lamar if it weren't for Falcon, WHY he has nothing to do with this other than being in the room when it happened.

I like how John was meant to be peak human and trained accordingly, at a world class level, yet he gets whipped and ragdolled easily by the smaller Dora. Then he gets the serum and suddenly he's more skilled than Bucky who should be a world class combatant (equalling Steve and T'Challa in Winter Soldier mode), guilt or holding back regardless, who also has help from Sam (now a martial arts master like his comic book self even if he is human) as they fight him together? The power scaling and skills were utterly bipolar.

Walker isnt aggressive, tries extremely hard in the series to work with bucky and falcon, is right about the dora Malagee's jurisdiction and yet is constantly made to look like the asshole. And no way he is losing that fight that hard. They are insanely skilled warriors with vibranium weapons, but he is also an insanely skilled warrior with a vibranium weapon. So i dont like that this was a one sided beat down, because it just shouldnt have been. Feels pointless.

It might be just me but I think the Dora Milaje are the Sand Snakes of the MCU.
They start unnecessary conflict with these guys and don't even follow Zemo at the end. Their lines are cringey and weird. Their role is counterintuitive to the themes and messages of the show. Also it doesn't make sense how they're only equipped with light armour and spears but can take down these 4 guys. 2 of them are US highly trained special ops, 1 of them is a cybernecticly advanced super soldier with decades of combat experience, and the other is an avenger.

@@Demobot1 also my biggest problem with them is that they go against the show's theme. John Walker is sorta antagonistic since he's marching into foreign countries and acting like he's the boss. That's supposed to be one of his qualities that we're supposed to dislike about him, but I guess it's ok when the dora milaje do it

How? The Dora Milaje have been strong in every scene they've been in. They even put up a good fight against a Black Panther level fighter in KillMonger. The way the fight was going, they would have won if he didn't have that OP suit.
From the comments on social media, I’ve seen quite a lot of overarching hate towards how Dora was portrayed in the show. But damn poor writing and we got a badass drooling fight scene
