Yet another great interview. It was nice to live vicariously with how he got his 1st bird from Theo Yskout mated to his last one of his grandfather's line. The story of De Gust was great to hear as well. Thanks for another finely guided interview.
"Pigeon sport is a selection sport. It's that simple". I love that statement. Thanks for asking my question. I enjoyed seeing the variation of expression on his face as he gave multiple answers. And I can sympathize with the no video on race day because no telling if it's going to be a good race or a chair thrown across the lawn. 😅
Really cool interview. I had just started a couple years ago on pigeons but had to stop because of city ordinance but I will be back and appreciate these interviews to learn for when i can come back to doing it. Take care.
Wow... that's the first time I've ever heard the proposition of a olr shipping 3 400 miles back to back.... and then averaging the 3 finals. THAT WOULD MAKE FOR GOOD BIRDS!!! LETS SEE THEM COME 3 TIMES FROM THE DISTANCE l!! That would be the biggest olr in the country!!! Great idea!
Regarding the Thailand one loft races in Thailand the hours of daylight are the same 365 days a year . Sunrise 6am sunset 6pm they do not pull flights and no darkness system. The fanciers that send the youngsters early that are early bred usually have full wings when the finals are flown those that send the youngsters late the pigeons are still moulting flight feathers at finals time .
Ulrich:- If you’re 1 minute short on 100 miles, you’re short 10 minutes on 500 miles. Let’s do the math. 100 miles X 5 = 500 miles. 1 minute X 5 = 5 minutes. Am I’m missing something?
