That's by far the nicest tool roll I've ever seen! If you end up as good of a carver as you are sewer, you've got a bright carving future ahead of you!
Great job, I have been thinking of making a tool roll myself. If you ever do this again, making another tool roll that is, You should think about adding a flap, that is, to cover the handles. This would help keep any of your tools from falling out and possibly damaging the blade end of your chisels. When it is rolled up the flaps would be tucked inside keeping the tools in place. But still an excellant job with every thing.
So skilful... every detail looks as if it had been done by a machine, but knowing a person put effort and time into it makes me appreciate it even more. Good job.
I admire your skill and you also used a sewing machine to sew soft leather , I have not seen that before as I was made to understand that leather required a walking foot machine. I assume you do woodturning .. you are very motivated to attempt working with different materials . Thank you for your presentation.
I've never seen or heard of you or your work before, this is my first time and I have to say it not only looks like you do fine work but have a very easy and natural way of explaining what you're doing...thanks for sharing!
1. The video isn't needlessly long while still showing exactly what you need to see to do it yourself. 2. Everything about the design is damn near perfect -- both functionally and aesthetically. 3. This is the first of your videos that I've seen and I subscribed without a second thought. keep up the awesome work!
You are really amazing! I'm salivating to see your next woodwork project!! God bless you for sharing this awesome leather tool roll project! Cheers keep the good work!!!
I really like the idea of this. very well put together. I will have to try some large leather projects that use some of my thinner leather that I have on hand. Thanks for sharing the details.
The Minimalist Maker , yes I have watched all of your videos, the 2x4 challenge one made me a subscriber. keep making and I will keep watching. (my videos are not make videos) Someday I will post some make videos.
I really like the gray leather. That looks awesome with the tan belt leather that you chose. I like how your design has the tools offset so you can get two rows, rather than just one. And the pocket is a really good idea for pens and maybe even a small rule.
Thank you Bruce! I also love the color combo, it works well! Yeah, I was thinking that the roll would be more balanced if I had two rows. So it works! :)
Very nice video! Only possible issue would be the chisels eventually cutting through the light leather you used. I'd suggest either a double stitch bottom or adding some vegetable tanned leather (same as the strap) to reinforce it, if that happens.
This tool roll is looking great and it can hold a lot of items. I made one myself in a smaller version for my school practice items :D thank you for the great tip!
The small details just add so much to make this a beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing your process. It makes it so much easier to understand the craftsmanship involved and encourages a novice at sewing to maybe try to make their own roll!
Wow! Very nice work! I was planning on using scrap leather to make a similar tool case for my small tools and attachments for my job. I made a prototype out of cloth to get a basic idea of what I wanted. It works okay but I will still upgrade it at one point. This video was really helpful for getting ideas and advice. Thanks!
Thanks. I do not think that my sewing skills are any where near as good as yours and it will be my first time working with leather. I am taking my time to plan it out and gather the necessary materials/tools. I hope it goes well, too.
Nice work. I want to make something like this for my pencils and other sketching supplies but I want it to be integrated into a cover for my sketch book .
Darbin Orvar channel has a Midori notebook where I think there is an open pocket that faces the binding to keep in sketching supplies...i think her cover is leather and the pocket is heavy paper and incorporated into one of her notebook inserts. Maybe that’s something you could do?
very nice. your stitching is very clean. I like your design, as an artist it seems very functional. thank you for sharing your work. your videos are well done. very well put together. Thanks again.
Someone has a steady hand, a very experienced eye and a knack for QUALITY and CRAFTMANSHIP!
Thank you so much! :)
Your work is very amazing and creative with all thanks and appreciation
That's by far the nicest tool roll I've ever seen! If you end up as good of a carver as you are sewer, you've got a bright carving future ahead of you!
You kinda crushed this. I shouldn't even say kind, because you definitely crushed it. Congrats and thangs for sharing!

Very nice video! Only possible issue would be the chisels eventually cutting through the light leather you used. I'd suggest either a double stitch bottom or adding some vegetable tanned leather (same as the strap) to reinforce it, if that happens.
I was thinking about reinforcing it, but decided to test how it wears first. I can always make an improved version! 😊
That's amazing good job

Nice leather. No flaps to stop the tools falling out.
I don't even know what I'm doing here, but man, it was so calming to watch this.
Thank you! :D
