That's a good fix 👍😊 . Slowly fix up the issues in the vehicle to get a smooth trip.

Too late now, but good way clean out dried crud from a tank, is two have a few handfulls of coarse sand/grit in the tank, seal it up, then strap it to a concrete mixer, let it rotate for few hours, vacumn out sand and crud, it does work. Another thing, without seeming a smartarse: when struggling with hoses, I alway spray the with silicon spray, and then slide in, anything will do reallly, a bit of lube always helps insertion...

I was using the glass cleaner method that I use on handle bar grips on the bike. Didn’t have enough stretch in the hose.

Have you though about fitting a second fuel fillter as most do in the UK

If it continues to be a problem then I will, but looking at the date of manufacture on the one I removed, I think making replacement of the filter part of the regular maintenance schedule should solve the problem; if I haven’t solved it already.

Hi can anyone tell me if the top flat part of the dash can come off alone leaving the top and lower dash still fixed as I need access to run some wiring from engine bay through the top grommet on the right hand side when looking at the engine head on. Or is there any other easier route to run cabling inside the cab? Thanks

Not sure about an easier way, but the dash is pretty secure with just the top dash pad removed. From memory even the instrument cluster sits in its own enclosed frame which has more bolts retaining it also.
