In addition, my parents make it known that all of the neighbors/family in Belmont are always allowed open access to the property. The people are sophisticated and intellectual . What do you expect, the police was playing in the drug trade together with the business world and the politicians, ignoring these bad boys. For years the police didn’t protect these communities and allow them to fester.
The business sector don’t care about this country, they make big money and live like lords, and don’t put nothing back into the country, especially in these depressed neighborhoods.
As for the government, they allow these areas to fall into ruin with no up keep and no infrastructural maintenance. I like dr rowley, but he and his party fail in this regard not helping these communities that help put them in power for 60 years.
Right now east POS should be looking pretty with all these stairs, like parts of Italy and Spain, just look how nasty and unkept these places look, and they’re just on the outskirts of the capital, shameful!!

I'm loving your videos on Trinidad and Tobago. My family is from Trinidad and I always wanted to visit but they always said it was too violent to visit. The one thing I am noticing when you ask about the violence, nobody is taking accountability for the violence. It always "the other group". In order to fix things in Trinidad, there needs to be accountability. Even when you ask those not involved with the gangs about the violence, they mention somewhere else that have violence or different music that promote violence. Accountability has to be taken in order to make change.

If it's one thing about Chris, is that he's real. I'd be honest, at times, I thought you were just coming here to get views and show our country in a negative light but I've realised that you go in with the intention of really trying to change the youths life and highlighting their voices. This is some great content and keep up the good work.

These youth are innocent, and showing them is saying that is the way of life they are used to, which is not true. I don't have a problem with what Chris Must List is doing, but don't show the kids' faces in your video. They are innocent.

    Suzette Louwe wrote:
In my opinion, Chris Must List was arrested because he showed how easy it was to find the gangs in our country even as a foreigner.
What is deeply troubling about that is it suggests that if a foreigner knows where the gangs are, then the police should know as well. And if the police knows, the Ministry of National Security should know as well. And if the Ministry of National Security knows, the government should know as well.
So some very serious questions arise here:
    1. Are there persons in the TTPS who are involved in gun running and human trafficking, who are protecting the gangs because they are their foot soldiers?
    2. Is the government aware of this and turning a blind eye? Then, who is the government protecting?
    3. Do we have a hit man for hire group in Trinidad and Tobago who are protected by the TTPS? Are rogue officers getting a cut?
And finally, Gary Griffith was CoP. Why were these gangs not neutralized under his watch? Does he have information on criminal gangs both in the hot spots and in the public service?
If Chris Must List could find the gangs, why couldn't Gary? Or why can't Earla? Are criminal gangs controlling our country?

We had GANGS in Port-of-Spain during the nineteen sixties. The GANG MEMBERS came from Belmont, Wood Brook, and St. James. Wood Brook being in the middle of the two regions, was their stomping ground. There was no “NONSENSICAL RACKET” called “RAP” over which to fight. Many young men were “SLICED and DICED” to death. No one FOUGHT to the DEATH over CALYPSOES, Hit Songs from the U.S., nor Latin America. It was pure HATRED. The young men were STUPID back then. The “CLOWNS” in this Video are more STUPID than the young men in my time. These “FOOLS” cannot even STRING six WORDS together to make ONE sentence. They have MADE themselves “USELESS” individuals. If the “so-called young,” based on everything that they have HEARD and SEEN thus far, are not LEARNING, or have not LEARNT anything, WHEN will it SINK IN, that it is UP to them to CHANGE their JOURNEY? The “NUMB NUTS” who call themselves “RAPPERS” are TEACHING the “YOUNG” WRONG THINGS by their “LIFE STYLES.”
