    BOOM I told you we'd dive more and more into Indie books! Whats that, TMNT, Power Rangers, Radiant Black, Nice House, Somethings Killing the Children and NOW GOD OF WAR!!!! AS for this comic, I liked it. But seriously, I just wanted them to end it with a goddamn portal that shows he's traveling between the mythologies, like just CLEARLY SHOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND IT'D BE FINE. I dont need him to meet the Norse Gods, I just gotta SEE HOW HE IS DOING THIS. lol But thats my opinion, I like the idea that the Glaives are following him, it does answer why if he hates them so much they were just buried under the house the whole time.

They intended to Kratos create Christianity because he killed all the gods and people need to believe in something else. If I remembered correctly he took on role as Arcangel Gabriel to guide the 3 wise men to baby Jesus. At the end Kratos turn his Blades of Chaos into a scythe and take on the role as Grim Reaper. This is actually HIGHLY interesting. For many speculative reasons. Because the Greek gods actually DO have some roots in Egypt. In some recounts, when Zeus fought Typhon, the Greek gods were forced to flee to Egypt by turning into animals like a fish, a cat, an ox, etc. This was used to tie-into and explain why so many Egyptian gods have animal heads, sort of a merging of mythologies in "the most ambitious crossover in history." But Zeus actually becomes Amun, who is known as an oracular god and supposedly the ruler of the Egyptian pantheon.
    LONG TANGENT. This scribe keeps talking about destiny and kept following Kratos, haunting him. Could he have been Amun, another incarnate of Zeus, his father? It would be horrifying to see Zeus has not died, but simply have his influence of power shift elsewhere, the way many gods do. Kratos also met many talking animals who echo the sentiment of him running from destiny. Could they be the other Greek gods haunting him, but in the animal forms they fled to Egypt as? (Yes, I know most of the animals don't match, except the crane, who could be Hermes an ibis, Thoth.) It's also almost a bit poetic how the scribe sends Kratos off with "Good fortune as your path carries you away from you." which could be seen as an encouragement to Kratos going along his long path of change; to finally be a different person, a different god, from what he is now at the end of Ragnarok. Also, haven't read the comic, so I'm not sure if Comicstorian is just dramatizing it, but saying "the sky darkened " could be a nod to a shadow of Zeus's power slipping through the cracks, foreshadowing his new form as this old scribe, as Amun.
    Of course, this is just speculative, I'm not an expert, and please don't rip me a new one if I made any errors. I'm just theorizing from the limited knowledge I have of the myths.

    The original concept for the switch of mythologies was going to be a switch to Egypt. We can assume that each area has their own pantheon, so Midgard is just an area that he walked to that happened to have a gateway to other realms (the world tree) with their own pantheon.

There’s a few problems with continuity in the fight such as the Nemian Cestus, but Cory Barlog confirmed it himself that the fight IS canon taking place on Kratos’s journey from Athens to Scandinavia, and I’ll take his word for it since it is basically the word of God (of War).

    I think the "Blades of Chaos" are drawn to Kratos because he brings forth "peace-ish" in his violent wake.
    The Blades of Chaos could be attracted to Kratos mainly because these blades are attracted to Chaos and Kratos will always find himself in that position.
    To contrast, the Blades symbolize "Peace" after a necessary war. Something that we can see Kratos doing here.....sort of.

      They are bound to his soul since their former owner Ares no longer exists, Kratos is the rightful owner of it. It's basically bound to his soul unlike his other abilities in GOW3 which he stole from other gods.
      Basically, everything he took and acquired during the events of the first three games no longer applies to him in the Norse world because those elemental powers are bound and tied to the Greek world, the greek pantheon's abilities like time manipulation (sisters of fate), blade of Olympus (which is made of elements belonging to the greek part of the world) and claw of hades, etc etc, etc. all of them are bound to the Greek homeland because the original owners, (greek gods) died there.
      The Blades of Chaos are tied to Kratos's soul, wherever he goes, they will follow no matter what. That's why he doesn't have any other abilities in the 2018 God of War other than the blades.

    • @negativeplayer4446
      @negativeplayer4446 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dabaruknemuhar1981 ah! Ok.
      But, here's comes my confusion. How the heck did Kratos end up in Norse?
      Based on a comic I saw on YT, the Greek world seems to also be apart of our world (fantasy version) where other fictional beings from other cultures also exist, like the central Asians and Egyptians.
      So, based on that, wouldn't the realm of Norse be another one of the realms on Fantasy Earth?

    • @dabaruknemuhar1981
      @dabaruknemuhar1981 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@negativeplayer4446 I'm not sure how he ended up in Norse but it could be that Planet Earth in the God of War series is ridiculously large, maybe it is about as large as the Andromeda galaxy or something which is how so many pantheons exist on one planet and these different realms that exist are pocket dimensions that some gods can traverse and access.
      It is a Planet that is so vast it requires more than 1 sun and moon for each pantheon and culture and more ocean and land. So on one hand, you have Helios in the Greek part of the Planet aka the god of the Sun, and on the other hand in the Norse part of the Planet, you have wolves chasing the sun and moon. So maybe all these different pantheons exist on the same planet which itself is near-infinitely large, so much so that the gods themselves believe their world is the only one...when it's actually just a small fraction of the larger planet.
      As for the realms? Pocket dimensions or a different reality (the tree of Yggdrasil and all the 9 realms) could be pocket dimensions like Helheim, Asgard, Vanirheim and so on, they could be different realities all connected by the tree in another dimension. Midgard is the real Earth where you will find the Greek gods on the far side of the world because unlike the Norse gods, the Greek gods don't have access to other dimensions hence why Olympus is one big mountain while Asgard is a different dimension.
      But that's what I think, I'm not sure if it is canon or not.

    In my headcanon, before watching this video, I always imagined that after Kratos's second failed attempt to take his own life, he realized he's been cursed by Zeus to never be able to take his own life to find the peace he's been so desperately craving for and is doomed to walk the earth until he dies in battle. He wanders the world searching for an opponent who could best him in combat, but it always ends in failure; this is Kratos we're talking about; almost no one could match him. What hope does the God Killer have to find anyone who could kill him?
    Then he hears about Thor and moves to Midgard but meets Laufey instead. They fight, and in the middle of the fight, Faye begins to show Kratos mercy even when Kratos constantly demands her to resist him and is close to chopping her head off in anger at missing another chance at peace. Still, her kindness calms him down, and he eventually relents.
    Zeus' curse is ironically a gift of a second chance of redemption Kratos wanted from the franchise's beginning.
