I'm not disabled but this is so real and true. This advice is good for anyone going through any tough time in my opinion this heart felt 3 part series is gold. Thanks brother
Thank you brother. It took a long time for me to stop feeling sorry for myself. You get so beat down and life feels hopeless. That’s when you have to surrender and God will show you your purpose. We all have to be humbled when we take any part of life for granted.
Thanks for this- the first 2 parts were helpful as I'm learning how to relate to my friend with recent disability, and I also found the spiritual perspective in this part interesting
Thank you! Please do what you can to help your friend. They need support more than ever. Even if they try to push you away, they need someone to lean on. I pushed most of my friends away because I was ashamed and felt like a failure. You have to let them know that there is nothing to feel ashamed about. Any one of us can become disabled at any time and it is the most important time for friends and family to pull together and lift them up. Even if you offer to drive them to the doctor or bring them a meal every now and then, you will lift their spirits and keep them from sinking too far into depression. Ultimately, it was God who saved me from the fate of many I know who decided to just end their suffering. He showed me that I went through all of that to help others who were lost. I promise you helping your friend will bring you closer to your Grand Purpose, whatever miracle that may be!
