He tended to meander about past experiences and how beautiful the man was, etc. But clearly he fell into a deep depression for maybe two years after losing to Ali, from what I understand, and Ali was contemptuous of Foreman in the post-fight interview. So I would have been interested how their friendship slowly developed. I think he said Ali tried to coax Foreman out of retirement so he could beat boxers who had beat Ali, so the friendship must have developed slowly.
