Harmony, Rhythm, Melody, Timbre, Texture, Form, and Dynamic
hahahaha salamat
Salamat😂
Time stamp on movements:
1- 0:10
2- 5:18
3- 9:10
4- 12:06
5- 14:22
6- 22:00
7- 24:36
8- 30:34
Thank you!
the beginning until 5:10 is on a cd i bought some time ago called "classical heavy metal"; it has the montagues and capulets, in the hall of the mountain king, mars the god of war, the ride of the valkyries, the 1812 overture, and some other really good "in-your-face" classical music
The mid section of "Death Of Tybalt" is astonishing! 32:00 - 33:00 is one of my favorite minutes of classical music ever! What a piece!
It is said of one of Prokofiev's early music instructors that, upon receiving a composition from little Sergei, declared: "That's rather simple, isn't it?" One music scholar has since opined that whomever said such a thing created a monster. Long live the monster.
Hey! I want to share with you my symphonic poem, inspired by Prokofiev symphonic music! I hope you will enjoy it! th-cam.com/video/FtgOpfUirT4/w-d-xo.html
Prokofiev is not a monster. He is an angel.
Just close your eyes and listen, imagine, let yourself carried into an imaginary world. Mind you this was created when there were no synthesizers, no electronics, no mixing, clipping, recording, only people playing cold instruments. That is amazing.
don't forget the coughing
and then I opened my eyes and took my second hit of DMT
clipping?
@@everettmyers7414 what's DMT please?
Soul Man a powerful psychedelic drug
That tuba blast is amazing. Is there only one in the whole orchestra? What a powerful instrument!
its the bass trombone not the tuba. Tuba is much softer and more gentle
Thank you, I am not a musician at all. Now that you told me about the beauty, I can see him blowing it in the back row. NEAT!
But the tuba played right can be one of the most powerful yet gentile instruments in the orchestra. There are usually only a few bass trombones in an orchestra and the entire trombone section mixed with the tubas can be a mind blowing sound that few instruments can replicate.
Actually that's both the tuba and bass trombone also there is only one bass trombone in the orchestra (unless a piece calls for a second)
NULL ZERO The bass drum plays together with the tuba and that gives every note a huge punch!
It's like John Williams found most of his inspiration for the Star Wars score in this suite.
Also the Rite of Spring and Holst's planets.
Some Harry Potter music as well I would say!
You have to listen to Mars from the Planets cycle from Holst. That's where Vader's theme directly comes from! ;-)
th-cam.com/video/Oipg71dSem0/w-d-xo.html
I hear that too. Good call.
Question: Since when did the sound of a TUBA playing give you goosebumps? Answer: At every Tuba blast! What a classic, powerful sound!
thats the bass trombone actually but if you listen hard enough , you can hear the tuba
I heard that trombone and tuba and it scared the shit out of me
The Russian composers seem to be in a class all by themselves---as far as Western music goes. And Prokofiev has managed to carve out a singular place in the Russian canon. I would not have expected a "Romeo & Juliet" of this timbre and gravity from any composer and yet, given the story of these star crossed lovers, it makes perfect musical sense. Prokofiev shines light on the darkest corners of the human psyche and yet upholds our most basic yearning: To love and to be loved.
His "Prodigal Son" ballet brings that home, too.
*cough* Tchaikovsky *cough*
*cough* Grieg *cough* /mutter/ Concert in A minor Op. 16
enjoy
DynamiteJoe Grieg was Norwegian.
My favourites composers are most of all russians and italians, i am french
Russians for innovations and originality, italians for melodies and passion
Mignon Dunne this made me laugh pretty hard thank you
I love the initial teasing : the slow beginning and then …BOOM the bass is coming.
Шекспир бы не представил, что это так грандиозно!!
Браво Проковьеву.
Это лучшее, что я слушала из классической музыки! Прокофьев - гений!
Purely. Mesmorizing and transcending.....nothing else.like it
Абсолютный гений!)
All about that BASS
trombone!!! great pedal notes.
Questo Romeo e Giulietta di Prokofiev mi fa impazzire....e poi interpretato benissimo...complimenti ottima performance

+Bolknakker please
Bolknakker Cheer up ‼️ I am contemporary with you ! Greetings from Japan . So long . Do outlive !
Brilliant piece of music ,heard this as a child one of my fathers favourites , thanks.
The dance of the knights is soo amazing, unbelieveable powerfull and its intimidating stoic agressive Trombone bass blast is breathtaking..thx for uploading the full suite.
The is my all time favourite seen performed as a ballet is just magnificent. It conjures up so many emotions. A Prokofiev master piece.
The works created by the genius composers who were awaked by the voice of God will flicking the heartstrings that is deeply in the depths of the human soul. This performance is standing ovationaly. Especially「Dance of the knight」is exquisite and incomparable !
This promotes spilitual uplift and awakening , and activates the soul
Amazing. This music is the soundtrack of life.
First 3'20" . Deep and mysterious sounds evocating titanic energies of hate between factions and world creation . Mankind born and death , love and deep hate . Capuleti and Montecchi each other fighting . Love and death . A masterpiece . Thank you Prokofiev ! Thank you World Orchestra-Josep Vicent ! Enzo
+Enzo Di Giacomo the pure and beautiful love between the two boys drowned by the hatred and twisted souls of their families.
I was in this amazing ballet as a soldier which was just extra work at the Alhambra theatre Bradford many years ago.
To be on stage with the dancers listening to the orchestra in the pit was mind blowing everyone of the ten performances.
I even remember the equity rate which was £40 per performance.
I believe it was the English National Ballet.
Epic piece of music. I love watching the musicians and how their movements also describe the music. Watching a live orchestra is amazing.
Finally found it! I've been looking everywhere for this after I heard it in a documentary about the Russian Typhoon class SSBN.
+Chase Johnson I was searching for it on and off for a year, lol. On youtube I tried the likes of "boss classical" "Classical march" "War classical" only to fail. For some reason "classical thunder" was where the money was at!
+Chase Johnson TOF MAN
look for it

One of my favorite memories of my daughter's musical upbringing is her appreciation of the Montagues and Capulets fight scene and those overly challenged str ings during that section. Even the Philly strings suffered through it. She gained a real understanding of Prokofiev, however. He's still among her favorites as well as is mine. Great writing for oboe, also.
this is an amazing play of music, I love it so much...
I have to admit, despite the negative single stories (stereotypes) and the movies they'd feature the Russians, I'd say they are not to be underestimated. No sir. As a simple South Eastern Asian that I am, I've long noticed that. To any Russian in here, I give you respects and that you all are beautiful in your own ways even if you' re not the musical Prokofiev or that very well known Tchaikovsky. Because you too are the ones that make me feel inspired to be my own self, I love you all, you have my words.
EXCELLENT RECORDING FOR THE EQUIPMENT. Good orchesta
Love Prokofiev, wonderful! Also love Grieg, but I don't see how you can compare these totally different composers
Sublime.
I guess you could say violinists really live life on the, edge!!!
Beautiful
One of Prokofiev's masterpieces at 4:30
Wonderful....Thank you.
I can picture 18th century war ships approaching a hostile shore at dawn and this music
blasting the waves!!!
I came from an edit, which I spent so long looking for the street dance version. But I love this one as well ❤️
This score has always been popular. Here, it is very well interpreted and directed by Josep Vincent. The orchestra has a warm sonority which contributes to the general mood of the rendering. Excellent.
Favourite part is at 1:30 on to about 3:00.
the Dance of the knights
yes it is the best
Cj Jacobs the Nazis used to march to it -- if you believe that.
eli alhussaini
et alors ? la musique est belle c'est tout
eli alhussaini
no they do not - Prokofiev is Russian composer
This, is amazing. I am in awe and smiling.
its a very powerful piece of music i'm amazed
Such vigorous music, with some beautiful themes . Reminds me of John Williams's soundtracks for Lucas and Spielberg films . Very modern.
Well, actually,John Williams tooked a lot of elements from Prokofiev's music. That's a very good observation.I'm a student at the Conservatory and I didn't noticed that, until one of our teachers said that.Bravo!
Iulia Medan Thank you! Made my day. :)
P.s. - I'm a lay person, not a musician. Just a music lover since childhood.
That is like saying that wahing a formula 1 car reminds you of your kid trying to learn how to drive a trycicle.
i totaly agree with you, that's the first thing i thought when i heard this song, Star Wars x) i do not say it is the same but it has been inspired !
How do u recognise the theme in a piece of music?
2:13
Ok, who else came here from the Trombone Star Wars prank.
But came out with an amazing musical piece, and won’t be able to get out of their heads?
Just me?
Ok
OH SHIT YES ME
lol i did, that was funny. In all seriousness, this piece is great, but every piece needs a hint of star wars now and then... :D
@@jaredhettenhouser4652 Every star wars needs a hint of Prokofiev now and then :P
How did u know
Wow stalker much???
Incomparavel.
Mother Russia, thank you !!!
Greatest Revolution of History; greatest Art.
Too much.
C'est magnifique, comme musique et l'interprétation, également.
Amazing! Goosebumps! The best interpretation of this piece I ever seen, so deep! Incredible riythm and after 1:29 is like an explosion
davidlyons24 Hi this is excellent but have you heard Mravinksy's version? IMO it can't be beaten. Cheers.
If I were older and wiser, I would say that Shostakovich is the great Russian composer during the Stalinist period.
But I'm not, and so I'll go with Prokofiev. He's my man.
One of these days I'll evolve.
Shostakovich 1st suite has a special place in my heart and I love his pieces, but man, this really slaps
Marvelous !
Quelle belle musique, chaleureuse, entêtante,c'est celle qui est joué en entrée du film Caligula. Ma jeunesse.
Oui! je suis d'accord!
Belíssima obra!!
Maravilloso.
This is amazing! Remember a film version of this ballet! Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev
Meg Bailey I want to look that bulle
For the full impact, see the ballet performed.
This is one of my favssss
Escutei o clássico na íntegra. A sensação que tive foi de grande êxtase em meu interior ao sentir um ar de mistério combinado ao calor dos mortais. Algo como o romance na calada da noite. Gostoso demais de ouvir. 09/01/2021 - Fortal- Ce. Brasil.
Bravo !
I played this a few years ago. Was my second time in a big orchestra. The piece was difficult for me (I had 4 years of experience at the time, not a lot for playing the cello lmao) but really fun.
La melodía del minuto 14:26 es la que sale en Princess Tutu cuando Fakir y Ahiru bailan el ballet de Romeo y Julieta :'3
Es tan hermoso!!❤
Dlugie zycie uczy doceniac takie chwile
Favorite part of playing this was the all down bow part at 2:52 ... so fun!!
Lee Byrum Thanks for comment...yes yes down bow to indicate begining the suite and tempo....Pl. check also fontayn and nurevey composition work,,...jzpatelut..
Wonderful sensitivity on a theme
Thanks
Eargasming from 33:00 on so bad... All hail Prokofiev!
Bellísimo!!
My favorite classical piece. This song really makes my subwoofers beg for mercy on the car stereo. It's also fun to crank this up with 2,000 watts when those kids come up to the stop light thumping urban hip hop too damn loud. This cranked up just makes them roll up their windows. ;) Prokofiev 1, Hip Hop 0
MOLOCH SORCERY-Any CD with the words "Pipes and Drums" in the title works really well, too ;-)

MOLOCH SORCERY Classical music rules over any modern shitty music ^^
MOLOCH SORCERY you sound very fucking old
MOLOCH SORCERY Id recommend ‘I love it’ by Kanye West & Lil Pump or ‘Pussy monster’ by Lil Wayne

SUPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
Julieta Suqiasyan 元気でいるだろうか❓心配ですよ‼️
Czytam aktualnie książkę Reyes Monforte "Rosyjska namiętność" będącą zbeletryzowaną biografią S. Prokofiewa i jego żony Liny. Interesująca biografia, a jednocześnie historyczne odniesienie do stalinowskich czasów w ZR. Warta poświęcenia kilku dni na poznanie tego co było.
Благодарю вас. Это интересно.
Americans : Walk on the moon!
Prokovief: Let's surf on it
playing this for orchestra :)
Genial!!!!
Meu deus! Até me arrepio quando escuto está música.
needs a bit more coughing..
Hello, Gaben.
fuck you
Lol, there's always a cougher in crowds. Kinda like, this airplane doesn't have enough screaming babies!
More cowbell, too.
Don't cry, Sappy.
Came for my homework. So this is the music in the "best orchestra pun" video? i see
Prokofiev derived 3 Orchestral Suites from Romeo and Juliet, says Wikipedia. This must be the 2nd one, as it has the Montagues and Capulets in it near the beginning. Dance of the Knights, this is also called. Very "I Rule" Russian hubris music!
+not2tees It's quite common for conductors to derive their own set of pieces from the three orchestral suites
Or indeed to derive their own set of pieces from the complete ballet. Some of the pieces in the 3 suites are quite different to the pieces as they occur in the ballet.
Outstanding composition!
Prokofiev : ♥️
I find many modern music inspired from Romeo and Juliet..sure Star Wars even some Pink Floyd (the Wall)
This feels like the touch of evilness in revenge.
Romeorock and Julietstone. From "The Flintstones".
Prokofiev Is a god!
1:18 is the bit your were listening for
Le cameraman devrait nous montrer plus souvent les musiciens soloiste et les groupes des instruments à vent et basses etc...

Anyone else got goosebumps when the that part started at 1:30
Да! Конечно! Эта часть напоминает мне шторм в океане с огромными волнами и беспомощными в этой стихии кораблями...
