Since i was a kid i was fascinated by the design of St. Basil's beauty and design when i turned 50; i visited Russia and finally got to see Saint Basils. My bucket list

As soon as I saw the master floor plan of St. Basil's--I hope to visit some day!--I was immediately struck by how similar it was to the master floor plan of the Chateau de Chambord, in the Loire Valley in France. Leonardo da Vinci was credited with the master plan of that chateau, as by that time in the 1510s he had been commissioned by King Francois I to build him great architecture. It is striking that in the 1550s and 1560s, a similar structure appeared in Moscow. Chambord also has the whole "looking at a city" illusion that St. Basil's has--with disparate towers of different heights and profiles crowding the skyline of the building. Fascinating stuff.
I just had a dream last night of a beach of many colored rocks and beautiful light blue water stretching out still for miles and a few palm trees in the water. I saw this church in the water and swam up to it. It was so amazing. I tried to swim into the little room to be transported into a different dimension but I needed to take a breath from above first.
