In the first draft of this song, I referred to all of the Japanese names as "foreign car names." You could argue that this wasn't a great way to refer to them in the first place, but then I stepped it up to "rice-mobile names," thinking that was an acceptable slang to use since so many of the names sounded to me like "Mitsubishi," "Toyota," etc... in retrospect, I wish I hadn't included either of those in the final lyric. I've learned a lot about racism in the time since writing this lyric, and I regret including that part of it. If you find this song nostalgic, that's fine, but please know that I don't stand by that part of the lyrics today.

No really, he's probably the best sound designer the Megaman series ever had, working in Megaman 3. What did we get? The amazing title theme, the unforgettable stage themes with Spark Man as my third favorite track of the series, and Wily Stage 3/4 is my second favorite track of the series.

Now days, you might get a big cutscene to wrap everything up i the game, a short cliff hanger for a forced sequel or just a slide show with narration.
and the result is the same, you have nothing at the end of it but the experience of having played the game. Until you start the game again and do it all again.

I would say that the game with the best ending from the classic/golden era (Odyssey Maxnavox until SNES), was Final Fantasy VI.
It actually provided denouement (pronounced deh-nue-mah) and closure for each of its characters and brings the themes, motifs, and whole narrative of the entire game around to a bittersweet ending. Kefka had largely destroyed the world, seemingly proving his nihilist point that there's no reason to building when what is built is eventually destroyed by entropy, decay, war, natural disaster, or neglect. In striking him down likewise, the man who had ascended to godhood by becoming the source and power of all Magic in the world, Magic was destroyed and fades from the world. Yet Terra, the symbol of natural marriage between man and magic, survives because she has a strong attachment to her human side, and the love her human side had for orphaned children she had taken on as a foster-mother. And as her survival brings hope, we see interspersed with the credits, scenes of the survivors of Kefka's reign of terror rebuilding the world, planting new trees, repairing damaged homes, all while the triumphant Final Fantasy Prologue theme plays as the heroes fly off in their airship.

At the end of Mega Man 2, it shoes someone named Fish Man.
I saw the Kirby screens during this and just wanted to point out that it was one of the few games that had a really nice save feature so you didn't have to give up your life to beat the game.
I teared up a little.
I remember first watching this five years ago and laughing so hard I started crying and couldn't stop. It's still funny even today.

Back in the day, we didn't need Trophies, we didn't need Achievements, and we didn't need sparkly carrots to keep us playing. The challenge kept us going and beating a difficult game was reward enough.
I love old video game endings lol because they don't need all these 2 hour flashy animations to make the player feel satisfied. The old nes games were so good and hard that just the fact that you beat the game would prove that your good.
