I knew that as soon as Spire hired Rodney to Crew Chief the number 7 car, no way he would go there to CC for Corey LaJoie, and no way Spire would waste money hiring Rodney to CC for LaJoie, what would the point be in that? I'm guessing that when Spire bought KBM, they must have said to Kyle Busch that if things don't improve with RCR in 24, we'll bring you in 25 or 26 and give you a great car and a great crew chief, or maybe someone else, but Spire must be looking at a more top tier driver than they have now.
So Daniel, my question is will Spire will go BOLD to buy out Kyle Busch contract from RCR for 2025 instead of keeping Zane Smith? (If yes, who will replace Kyle Busch, do you think another of Richard Childress' grandson Ty Dillon replace Kyle Busch or could they go for Sam Mayer?)
Lost respect for spire, they should've just let the contract run out rather than a buy out, let him run with Rodney for a year and if the experiment fails then get a new driver, just a petty move, i wouldn't be surprised if Corey cant find a good ride since its later in the silly season
All respect I had for Spire is just about gone. Corey was going to be paired up with Rodney, a veteran crew chief, now they screw him over. I'd rather root for a team that doesn't pay their drivers being NY Racing, then Spire. I hope next season they flop.
Everybody defending LoveToy needs to simmer down. The guy is a crash machine!! He’s NOT won in Trucks or Xfinity, so why keep extending the leash. Last year he was getting OUT DRIVEN by Carson (first Cup start) in his own car. While getting his dream ride in a Hendrick car. That had to make Spire think 🤔 hmm is this the guy?? I think they’ve seen enough this year to know. He’s NOT the guy. Justin Haley was the driver who got Spire going, not LoveToy..
